What is the process of succession of power?
In The Transylvanian States, The Royal family select the next Sovereign Prince or Princess by private vote. Very rarely is it actually hereditary.

The President is elected via popular vote (using the Alternative Vote system) every 4 years, and can serve up to two terms. Our monarchy is hereditary, based on absolute primogeniture.

The President is decided by Alternative Vote. Due to the fact that the same party often runs multiple candidates in these elections, they are normally hectic.

The Prime Minister is whoever has the confidence of a majority of both the National Council (STV with 5 members from each province) and the Golden House (Sainte-Lague open list PR).

The monarchy is hereditary but subject to approval by the Parliament. If the heir is deemed not to be worthy of the position, the crown will be passed down the line until a suitable heir is chosen. NOTE: This has never officially occurred.

The general populace (age 18 and up) vote every 2 years for their favored political party. The total count is tabulated and then the 100 seats in the Parliament are allocated based on percentage of votes won (i.e. 20% of the vote equals 20 seats in Parliament). If no party won 50% of the vote then a coalition government must form under the rules of the Constitution. The monarch then appoints the Prime Minister from the majority party of the largest party (or largest of the coalition) to head the government.

The Prime Minister is also the one who nominates the judges who sit on the Prince's Court, nominating 3 whenever a vacancy must be filled. The Parliament then votes and the winner is seated in the Court. In the event of a tie, the Prince casts the winning ballot.

Both the Prime Minister and the Prince are sworn in/crowned by the First Judge of the Prince's Court, who is the most senior member of the Court (in years served on the Court, not pure age).

The President is voted through the many workers' councils all across the nation. This is the same method for other executive positions.

The Head of State, the President of Nuthalmok, is elected for a 6-year term. The candidates for the office stand for election in each of the Federation's Constituent Republics, and (with the approval of a simple majority vote of the upper house of the legislature, the Senate) whoever wins in the most Republics is the new President.

The Head of Government, the Chancellor of Nuthalmok, is elected by the citizens of the Federation, with the approval of a simple majority vote of the lower house of the legislature, the Federal Assembly.

The President is the Head of State. The are elected each 4 years in Parliamentary elections.

There are 135 seats in the Parliament distributed in 5 electoral districts. They have a proportinal "weight" according their population Parliamentary seats are given in each electoral according Hondt system among the parties that have >3% of vote in a district.
In national election sums all parliamentaries of all electoral districts.
If a Party obtains 50% of seats and +40% of votes, it's candidate becomes President and designates a Goverment Chief or PM, normally is number 2 capital list, that has to form a Goverment and designate ministers.
In any of those suposits are valid, No party with 50%+1 of the seats and 40% of the vote. There is a second election the next week to choose President among the 3 most voted Party leaders.

Which, has to be approved by qualified majority of votes of the Parliament in first election or simple in second election.
If that doesn't happen the President would call first for another PM which is elected for simple vote, if the Parliament doesn't approve the PM candidate the President calls oposition parties for a alternative majority. If there is no alternative majority the Parliament is dissolved and elections are held again. It must be said that, this has never happened. As coalition are very common.

President is elected every 4 years with no term limits but 3 terms accepted as the norm max.

President is elected via Electoral Vote. BUT if a Bush vs Gore were to happen, Gore would win (so that the winner of the popular vote always wins the presidency)

The last leader chooses the new leader before he dies. Or if it cannot be picked, a team of advisors choose the next candidate.

The Prime Minister of Gandoor is indirectly elected by the citizens.

National Elections occur every six years on the first Saturday in July and the voting populace vote for Members to represent them in the Forum. Each political party has a candidate who is running for Prime Minister, traditionally the leader of the party, although this is not required by law and is only due to convention.

The candidate for whichever political party has the most seats in the Forum following the National Election will become Gandoor's Prime Minister. (While the Forum has four parties represented, it functionally acts as a two-party system as 97% of the seats belong to either the Gandoor Communist Party or the New Democratic Party)

However, the newly elected Prime Minister does not immediately take office following the election. The new arrangement of the Forum is seated on the second Friday in October following the election and their first act is to appoint the Prime Minister-elect fully to the position of Prime Minister, officially stating that they are appointing them to the position based upon 'the will of the people'.

Following the third amendment to the Constitution of Gandoor in 1957, the Prime Minister may serve no more than two terms of six years.

The next National Elections are scheduled to occur on 6 July 2024.

by Victorious Decepticons
There is not supposed to be a "succession of power" in Victorious Decepticons. Leader Megatron, being a robot, can repair his body or mind-transfer to new bodies for eternity if not killed outright. He also makes saves of himself compulsively, so he can be restored from one of them by a loyalist if need be. This makes it so that there will be no succession except in the most unexpected and extreme circumstances. If someone somehow does manage to permanently deactivate Leader Megatron despite his many spare bodies, and wipe out all of his mind-saves, the succession would have to be determined by what is best described as an "all-consuming civil war."

It is strongly suspected that the Empire would not survive this warfare intact, and instead, would be replaced by several separate states in a manner much like what happened to Alexander the Great's empire after his death. This is because there are three or four very powerful groupings that would be unlikely to be able to outright defeat each other at the outset, and it would be logical for them to eventually partition the planet between them - at least until someone gained a clear military advantage.

However, since the Decepticons - unlike most human groups - have the trait of being willing to fight literally to the last bot rather than concede even for a moment, it is theoretically possible that some detail would trigger this response and the war would continue until that point. Then, the entire Race would eventually have to be rebuilt from scratch by that one last, winning, person.

As long as that person was able to somehow hold Planet Cybertron until this was done (most likely by somehow hiding the fact that he was the only one left on it), or he could go somewhere else and secure the needed resources to make enough others to start a new population, it could actually work out fine in the end. The Decepticon Race as we know it, after all, was initially rebuilt by the mere 7 or so survivors of the Cybertronian Great War. Once an initial period of hardship was overcome, this led to unprecedented stability and prosperity for our current Nation and People simply because we were smart enough not to reactivate any dissidents.

The Prime Minister and Imperial Sovereign are elected by the Electoral College.

General elections occur every 5 years under very strict popular vote suffrage rules; while the Sovereign is elected by the Prince Electors, has life tenure, and is not subject to popular vote.

The Chairpenguin is elected by the other members of the Penguin Council, who are elected at six year intervals.

Some have posited that perhaps term limits ought to be shorter, but the general consensus seems to be that the citizens are mostly pleased with their leaders.

The She-King of Penguins was chosen as the destined monarch and human ambassador to the penguin world by a mysterious cabal of powerful penguins. Or so the story goes.

The Lord Mayor of Setgavarius is selected through a runoff election using a novel hybrid of FPTP and IRV which requires that from the four highest-ranking first round candidates the one who is able to secure support higher than 60% is elected.
Otherwise, the Setgavarian Electoral College votes if noone is able to gain 60% of the votes.

The Divine Queen of Brellach is selected as an infant by the Priesthood of Her Divine Glory. As the incumbent Queen reaches the end of her life, the priests begin a protracted ritual known as scrying. The nature of this ritual is a closely-guarded secret, but is believed to involve mild hallucinogens and deep meditative states. During this ritual, the priests are supposedly informed of the location of the next Divine Queen - known at this point as the Divine Successor - by the Divine Glory herself, and they are then authorised by the incumbent Queen (or Her Court, should there be no living Queen) to go to that location and take the Divine Successor into their custody. This process is known as The Renewal, which is considered a great honour for the family.

The future Queen is never informed of the identity of her family, nor is her family permitted to reveal their daughter's true identity to anybody - she is to be nothing but a Queen, and an object of adoration for the Brellachi people, with no history beyond her supposed ties to the Goddess.

The Priesthood raises the Queen from that point onward at the Sheoth headquarters of the Church of Her Divine Glory, training her extensively in theology and her ties to their goddess, teaching her to be compassionate, dedicated, and imparting a sense of duty onto her. She is often schooled in multiple languages and given an understanding of subjects such as the humanities. Throughout her time at the Church, the young Queen is trained in horsemanship to an expert level, for it is traditional for the Queen to be the best rider in the land, and she is rigorously tutored in fencing. During her upbringing, the Divine Successor is never seen, nor spoken to, by anybody outside of the Priesthood until the age of 15, when she is granted the Queen's pendant (the Brellachi equivalent of a crown), a name, and becomes the Divine Queen.

The President is supposed to be elected by a nationwide vote while the General Secretary of the Workers and Peasants Party is to be elected by a vote by all party members, but in reality the elections are just for show. The leader is chosen by a circle within the Party with careful consideration to the situation.
