The fact it make your leader a white elephant and the guns are inaccurate. It turns your leader into easy to spot target. How many people do you know wield golden AKs.

The Chancellors do not carry weapons, simply because they can't use them. It takes extremely specialized training- a month's worth -to teach a turtle how to use even the simplest of weapons, like knives. A gun takes two to six months to master if you're a turtle. Turtles don't have thumbs or access to their limbs; it's all shell, neck, and jaw, and extremely difficult at that. Mushrooms have a similar problem, but with telekenesis and lack of limbs. They can master an ammunition weapon in about a month, a kinfe in about three days.

TurtleShroom strongly believes in gun rights and the right to keep and bear arms. The Chancellors are inclined to learn to use weapons, but they can't. It takes a month for a turtle to cause any pain other than with what nature gave some of them (snapping turtles HURT). A head of state can't go off duty for a month to a half a year to learn self-defense, they have a country to help run! Instead, they have four primary human bodygaurds each, hired ones who swore loyalty to the country and recieve lifetime salaries and other perks. The Chancellors are close friends with them.


The best defense is what Chancellor Fungusamongus insisted for when TurtleShroom chose to build nuclear weapons in the NS Issue. There is a fifth, black-robed, picklecoff (helmet with pointy spike) donning human, standing at seven foot eleven inches tall. This human carries a heavy 19k-golden briefcase which functions as a 1950s-esque radio device to activate a chain reaction of complex, bureaucratic events that eventually authorizes the military to launch nukes. The briefcase- codenamed the Mushroom's Mushroom (see if you can guess why) -is handcuffed to the bodyguard's wrist. This bodyguard never leaves Chancellor Lamepun's sight. They are best friends. The key to the handcuffs are... wait, if I told you, I'd have to duct tape you to a tree, deluge you with pies, and then send you off to where we send terrorists: to a grey, windowless room with one light, toast and water for meals, and ENDLESS, HORRIDLY REPEATING, TORTURE MUSIC.
