The Republic of Furbish Islands is a huge, genial nation, remarkable for its museums and concert halls, pith helmet sales, and keen interest in outer space. The compassionate, hard-working population of 280 million Furbies have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often. The relatively small government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Industry, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Furby City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 6.5%. The frighteningly efficient Furbish economy, worth 32.3 trillion Furbucks a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Retail, Tourism, and Book Publishing. Average income is an impressive 115,320 Furbucks, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 412,562 per year while the poor average 23,140, a ratio of 17.8 to 1.
The Republic of Furby Island is a member state of the Democratic Economic Union of Nations. By that Furby Island both respect and follows all decisions, acts, resolutions and other documents approved by the Council of the DEUN and decisions made by External Action Service.
Embassy Policies
Transportation: All ambassadors and embassy staff will be given Furbish cars and helicopters. The country can bring its own cars and helicopters, but cars must have Furbish license plates. The cars provided will be bombproof. APCs and tanks are strictly prohibited.
Security: Countries are expected to bring their own security. The maximum is 10 guards per person. The guards should only be bringing rifles, sub-machine guns, pistols, shotguns, or assault rifles. Knives are also permitted. Anything else, including explosives, are banned. For transportation, the guards shouldn't bring anything more than a bombproof BMW.
Diplomatic Immunity: Embassy staff are not above the law. Despite that, they will not go to jail without the permission of their country. But they will still receive parking and speeding tickets. If they do a major crime and their country doesn't allow them to go to jail, they will be sent back. Security guards, however, can get arrested for crimes.
Other Information: Embassies will be treated as part of the nation that they belong to. They will be left alone and Furbish laws don't apply there. Police can still come inside if a criminal is hiding inside. If they do, they must be left alone.
Consulates
Furby Island will also allow countries to have consulates if they have embassies in Furby City. By default, countries will have 563 consulates in all major cities. Of them, 5 will be consulates-general. They have the same policies as embassies, and consulates, general consulates, and consulate staff will be treated like ambassadors and embassy staff. There is a consulate request from below.
