1. Mining: Akkastha has many copper, iron, titanium, and uranium deposits. There is also a minor coal mining industry.
2. Methane and other Natural Gas Extraction: The deposits are mostly methane; however, there have been more of other natural gases being discovered in recent years.
3. Agriculture: While crop growing is limited to 5 months out of the year, livestock of hardy animals is a growing industry. Most livestock is bovine and deer.
