Does YN have a state religion? Yes.
If so, does your government's laws and legislature rely mostly or entirely on that religion's ideas? Mostly.
What is the biggest religion in YN (not including atheism)? Lunism, the state religion.
Is your populace religious? Yes.
What is the state of religious freedom in YN? Most other religions are free to practice their beliefs and rituals, but Lunism and Lunists always receive priority. A few religions are outright banned, and their followers (if they actually exist in the Realm) hunted down viciously by state and locals alike.

If your majority religion tolerates the concept or idea, answer with O. If not, answer with X. Note that this doesn't apply to the populace as a whole; this only refers to the followers of the biggest religion in YN. Comments welcome.

What is the biggest religion in YN (not including atheism)? Equalism, but it's shrunk to just 32% of the population from its one-time statistic of 99%.
Is your populace religious? Not especially after fourteen years of war. People are a bit jaded these days about the supernatural.
What is the state of religious freedom in YN? Mostly free, but all religions have to register any missionaries with Customs and the Commissar of Customs reserves the right to deny entry. No religion except Equalism is native to Akros, so all would need missionaries to expand and spread here.
If your majority religion tolerates the concept or idea, answer with O. If not, answer with X. Note that this doesn't apply to the populace as a whole; this only refers to the followers of the biggest religion in YN. Comments welcome.

Is there any other information needed to be aware? Because Equalism has decreased so drastically in popularity that it's only a plurality faith and not a majority one, and because the military government is headed predominantly by atheists, as well as due to a lengthy civil war that devastated the country and forced the country to rebuild, as well as to six years of Communist rule, the views of Equalism have only very limited relevance and connection to the attitudes of the general population.
My nation does not (mostly) represent my real-life views. It's a military dictatorship with strong secularist and Islamophobic tendencies (okay, so the secularist part represents me, but not the militant Islamophobia).

Does YN have a state religion? Yes, Christianity
If so, does your government's laws and legislature rely mostly or entirely on that religion's ideas? Our laws try to tend to basic Christian values, like attending to the poor and helping the sick. However, many laws are passed with entirely secular reasoning, and things like abortion are allowed even while discouraged.
What is the biggest religion in YN (not including atheism)? Christianity
Is your populace religious? Somewhat, about 60% of them are Christians, and 97% identify as "religious or spiritual"
What is the state of religious freedom in YN? Complete religious freedom.
If your majority religion tolerates the concept or idea, answer with O. If not, answer with X. Note that this doesn't apply to the populace as a whole; this only refers to the followers of the biggest religion in YN. Comments welcome.
Atheism: [X] The Christian Church of Coconut Palm Island (CCCPI) believes that atheism is a mistaken belief, and causes one to miss out on the benefits Christianity has to offer. However, we do not hate or dislike athiesm.
People not in your religion: [???] The CCCPI says, "While other religions can lead others to happiness and fulfillment, none can give the peace that Christianity can."
Polygamy: [X] The CCCPI frowns on polygamy, and believes that marriage should be something special between two people only.
Pornography: [???] The CCCPI doesn't take a strong position on porn.
Homosexuality: [O] The CCCPI said in 2015, "If Jesus accepted people as they were, why can't we?"
The rest of the LGBT community: [O] See above note
Sodomy: [???] The CCCPI hasn't made any strong comment one way or another.
Insobriety: [O] The CCCPI says, "Our Church believes people should be allowed to drink, but shouldn't get drunk. People should be allowed to use narcotics, but not become high. We believe in the power of moderation. Anyone who can't use alcohol or drugs in moderation (ie substance abusers) should seek professional help."
Fornication: [???] The CCCPI is very split on sex before marriage. The more literal groups are very much against it, but the younger and more liberal groups are more tolerant. However, the Church believes that adultery, or even cheating in a relationship, is absolutely wrong.
Stem cell research: [???] The CCCPI doesn't take a position on stem cell research, and instead urges all members to draw their own conclusions from the Bible, available science, and their consciences.
Science in general: [O] The CCCPI has said, "The day our religion becomes the enemy of science is the day our religion dies. We support our scientists, and value the work they do to better help us understand God's creation."
Abortion: [X] Although abortion is legal in our nation, the CCCPI strongly recommends women use adoption to deal with unwanted pregnancies, rather than abortion. Still, it remains a personal choice.
Contraception: [O] The CCCPI actually encourages contraceptive use in some instances, saying "safe sex can keep abortion from having to be an issue in the first place. If individuals aren't absolutely sure they are ready to raise a child, they should use contraception."
Women leading in your religion: [O] We believe that our leaders should represent our population, and that women should take leadership roles if they want to.
Men leading in your religion: [O] See above-- men and women are equal in the eyes of the CCCPI.
Is there any other information needed to be aware? Yes, although the CCCPI is our nation's official church, the church and the government often have differences of opinion. For example, the CCCPI wants the government to restrict abortion access, but the King vetoed such a measure.

Does your nation have a state religion? De facto, the cult of personality is the state religion. But members of all religions are welcome in Puerto Luminoso as long as they accept Jesus Christ as personal savior. The only religion that is banned is Godless Communism, which is anything that opposes the great leader Niccolo Luminoso. Polls show that 105% of the people support this point of view.
If so, does your government’s laws and legislature rely mostly or entirely on that religion’s ideas? This relationship exists here but it is the reverse.
What is the biggest religion in YN? Christianity, but also Catholicism is big too.
Is your population religious? They better be, since Godless Communism is banned.
What is the state of religious freedom in YN? We have freedom, we even allow Catholics to exist.

The only thing that gets an O is “men leading in your religion”. For everything else, those with the right party connections enjoy a slick and highly efficient black market.

Does YN have a state religion? ''Yes. Well, we rather are split into pretty autonomous areas, so official religion might differ in certain areas. However, it is still enforced.''
If so, does your government's laws and legislature rely mostly or entirely on that religion's ideas? ''Although not fully, a lot of government is influenced by religion. Religious leaders play a large role in government, and it is full with many religious factions, which are usually hold together only by a firm hand, and common zealousness.''
What is the biggest religion in YN (not including atheism)? ''Biggest religion is Christianity, along with Islam. Then there are other religions, such as Hinduism, Buddhism, etc.''
Is your populace religious? ''Yes, SC is very religious. Although it has many religions, its leaders have tried to find a common ground to stand against atheism, and secularism.''
What is the state of religious freedom in YN? ''Although Commonwealth is a multi-religion entity, as it is a world government, and it can't just enforce one religion to all of the world, people usually have to stick with that religion, what is dominant in their region, and they can't convert.''
If your majority religion tolerates the concept or idea, answer with O. If not, answer with X. Note that this doesn't apply to the populace as a whole; this only refers to the followers of the biggest religion in YN. Comments welcome.

Is there any other information needed to be aware? While 10% of the population identifies as Roman Catholic, there is a growing trend against the traditional teachings, leading some scholars to speculate that the Roman Catholics of Katas are in the process of diverging into their own sect of Christianity (informally referred to as Katasian Catholicism, although we do not wish to be associated with any religious movement).

The 2 biggest differences brewing is the acceptance of contraception as a means to prevent abortion (They consider having an abortion to be worse than using contraception, so while they preach against both, they do not directly oppose the use of contraception by unmarried couples), and the support of female priests (officially there are none, as the Vatican does not allow it, but there are several women performing the same duties as a priest, making them priests in all but name)
I use all NS stats (even the dumb ones like weather) except for population
Most of my lore is spread around the forums (In cases of conflict, the most recent is canon) because I can't be bothered to make a factbook for everything. There is no prize for finding all of it, not even bragging rights. Why would you brag about something like that?
I have no idea what I'm doing and making this up as I go
Don't make me turn this country around!
