We are all mutants, only mutants, nothing but mutants. We don't disallow anyone from entering our planet, since some organisms are more open to environmental mutation than others and may survive from a fair amount of it.

The secret as to their taming was lost sometime after the unification of Dahon; today, having adapted to northern Dahon's steep and rugged environment, it roams the country's mountains in numbers so plentiful that the monarchy instituted a hunting season to control the population in 1933, awarding successful hunters (whose hunting arsenals are handed down by the government in order to get around an eighteenth-century royal edict prohibiting the carrying of arms) a lump sum per set number of kills of adults.
