In the JSR, most gay people come out by wearing a rainbow scarf on New Year's Eve. Although we have high levels of devoutness, we are very kind and don't hate gay people. Most people celebrate in the JSR when people come out.

Despite having a conservative European society, the President has legalised LGBT marriage as he believes the government has no right to say whom you should marry. This was taken quite positively, though the LGBT community is not as liberal and "SJW" as America's and is hence respected.

All forms of the "LGBT" scale are seen as unacceptable by the State. Anyone to practice or identify with these various sexualities are sentenced to Sexual Reeducation Camps located in Rostock, for hard, ruthless labor and factory work for exactly 2 years. The President and Deputy Prime Minister are heteroflexible, the Prime Minister is a lesbian and the Home Secretary is asexual.

However, with the younger generations, there appears to be a more liberal perspective. The trend is that people just act out their preference, without a formal declaration, unlike for those coming from a more conservative household, where coming out is usually done through communication with the parents, members of the family, and other close friends.

There has never been any stigma attached to homosexuality in the Federal States and as such, citizens don't feel the need to have to come out. Those that do choose to come out usually just tell people and then everyone goes about their day. It's really not a big deal here.

If someone comes out in a community that is not friendly to homosexuals, depending on the local religion, they are given the choice to attend further education in the secular cities of Nova Dunfem, al-Quds or the cities of Cyprus.
