Does your nation use any of the following as a punishment for crime(s)?
[Y] - Fines
[Y] - Probation
[Y ] - Corporal punishment
[Y and N] - Life sentence in prison
[Y ] - Prison sentence less than life
If your nation does not practice life imprisonment, please state the maximum sentence used:
20 years is the legal definition of a life sentence. Any sentence over this adjudication (e.g., multiple life sentences can merit the death penalty.with no time served). However, if awarded a life sentence (20 year sentence), it implies that one is a ward of the state for that time period and not necessarily incarcerated throughout that time.

The perpetrator is expected after a short prison time (for punishment (1-5 years depending on behaviour) and assessment) to then work off his sentence in the open market (outside of incarceration) so as to financially pay back his victims His family, friends, religious order and community are expected to support and rehabilitate. During this time he may not make life choices on his own, but must get permission from the state for every major decision made (just like most people trapped in a Communist or totalitarian country not part of the ruling elite).

Also during this time, acts of rebellious defiance, Indolence, recalcitrance, and obstreperousness will invoke additional punishment methods such as fines, caning, sent back to prison for up to a year, and miscellaneous punishments such as are mentioned in the last question of this survey.
[*] - Revocation of privileges (e.g. suspension of driver's license) Only if an auto was used in the commission of a felony.
[*] - Permanent disenfranchisement (losing the right to vote) Only if declared an outlaw (disenfranchised of all civil rights). Note felonious election fraud is considered an act of outlawry. .
[Y] - Temporary disenfranchisement This is a common method of punishment. Disenfranchise the perpetrator of specific privileges that he has failed to legitimately negotiate and reintegrate them into his life as he progresses to become a fully functioning lawful and productive member of society who can stand on his own two feet as a free person in the Land of Glomb.
If your nation practices temporary disenfranchisement, how long until someone regains their voting privileges? Depends on the crime. 5 years for each count of voter fraud / voter intimidation / ballot harvesting plus seven years for crimes involving elections. Usually within seven years after serving sentence of other felonies. However it is important to specify from which privilege the person has been disenfranchised as voting in public elections is but one.
[Y] - Capital punishment
If your nation practices capital punishment, which methods of execution are used in your nation (mark all that apply): [N] Lethal injection [N] Hanging] [Y] Firing squad [N] Electric chair [Y] Other
If you selected other, please state what other method(s) of execution are used in your nation: Besides the aforementioned hanging, oral poison, mechanical strangulation, immolation (only in cases such as arson where others have burned to death), caning, drowning and stoning are used.
[*] - Penal labour Only military personnel convicted within military system.
[N] - Political reeducation Note: All involuntary behavioral modification programs are classified as torture. Political reeducation as meant by Brax and other nations is not a valid word to Glombses. The word is abuse, torturous mental abuse.
[N] - Torture
If your nation practices torture, which methods of torture are used in your nation (mark all that apply): [ ] Waterboarding [ ] Flogging] [ ] Mutilation [ ] Other N/A
If you selected other, please state what other method(s) of torture are used in your nation [Please simply state the methods or state simple explanations of how they work, do not go into detail]:
[ * ] - Exile/Banishment Some criminals are banished on pain of death such as foreigners.
[Y] - Other
For Other, please state other punishment for crimes that are used in your nation: shunning, wearing a sandwich board listing crime, the forced donning of the skullcap of shame. Example of a skullcap of shame

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Lets welcome 1994 with some news: the USSR begins creating plans for a SSTO VTOL that is able to go mach 7.3 in other news: Vegemite is now the most popular food in the Papua New Guinea province, Canberra gets a new government building, Some Private Buisnesses are now allowed, Bus-cards now have a red-blue-white diagonal gradient. Government releases new line of "gun-training" toys for kids above 7 which has casings and uses a airsoft tracer-lacer to make the bullets look real, critics say this is against the UN stuff, government says this is for family fun only.

The most powerful and prosperous nation of the Bronze Sea. The country that brought peace between Sameria and Keraxe, protector of Frostmill and the Monoah, and whom annihilated the tyrannical reign of Winterveil. The Bronze Sea would be unrecognizable without our rule.

IC: A supposedly benevolent generous kingdom, but in reality is a totalitarian state that willingly puts down basic human rights and civilians just to advance magic in the name of the Order of Aesir that only stopped after the last king was killed.
OOC: Puppet State of Washington-Columbia. Also, warning for hefty spoilers for Arcane Odyssey.
