Does your nation use a rating system for media?
Yes

If so, what are the ratings?
All- appropriate for all individuals, generally unoffensive content.
12+- for individuals 12 and above, may include violence, exposure to more complex ideas though steers away from any sexual topics.
16+- allows for more extreme and graphic violence and depictions (what would be equivalent to 18+ in most nations)
non-public- content too graphic to be shown in public, generally reserved for heavily distressing or controversial content with the ban enforced and selected by individual planets.
restricted- restricted content may only be accessed by relevant individuals and is locked away from the general public, this is generally reserved more media under review.
Heretical- content declared heretical may only be accessed by inquisitional representatives and those outranking them, the possession of such media is outlawed, this is generally reserved for media somehow tainted metaphysically.

Are any ratings legally enforced?
yes, while up to 16+ the ratings are considered guidelines the other ratings have punishments as follows: non-public use content will get a media viewer or publisher fined and potentially imprisoned if it is watched or intentionally shown publicly respectfully, restricted content unauthorised access can be punishable by imprisonment (or even death if it is ultimately deemed heretical) owning or intentionally viewing heretical content is punishable by inquisitional authorities by their discretion and will most likely result in death.

Is media released in your nation required by law to be rated?
Yes

The Army of DxD is an army tasked with defending the world from supernatural threats that aim to bring chaos to or destroy it. It is, for the most part, neutral in human politics (though it does slightly favour NATO), but will actively try to prevent a world war, and, in a war, will take a side if its bases, puppet territories and/or concessions are attacked enough.

Does your nation use a rating system for media? yes, but for subversive political and religious content, not other matters.

If so, what are the ratings? 2 ratings- subversive and acceptable

Are any ratings legally enforced? yes, absolutely. The state censors know better than to let subversive content through.

Is media released in your nation required by law to be rated? yes, again for subversive political and religious content. Religious broadcasting of any kind is strictly prohibited.

Ratings for violence or sex simply do not exist. Such things are entirely uncensored, as the State doesn't belong in coddling or sheltering people from reality.

Socially quite liberal, economically a bit more authoritarian. Not a fan of organized religion or traditional family values or the present social order. You've been warned.

Does your nation use a rating system for media? Yes. There are separate ratings for "broadcast media" which includes movies, TV shows, radio shows etc. and "personal media" which includes books, video games, music etc.

If so, what are the ratings?
Broadcast media:
0: No restrictions; suitable for anyone.
0+: Suitable for anyone; parental guidance required for those under 12 y/o.
12/18+: Not suitable for under 12 y/o; parental guidance required for under 18 y/o.
18: Not suitable for under 18 y/o.
Special: Not for general audiences, only for certain specific group(s) of people. (This rating is rarely used today)

Personal media:
0: No restrictions; suitable for anyone.
12: Not suitable for under 12 y/o.
18: Not suitable for under 18 y/o.
Special: Not for general audiences, only for certain specific group(s) of people. (This rating is rarely used today)

Are any ratings legally enforced? Yes, all movie ratings are required to be enforced by cinemas, book ratings by booksellers, music ratings by music shops, etc. On TV and radio, unless a channel is designated an "adult channel", it cannot broadcast 18 rated content from 0700 to 2200. Violations of ratings laws are offences and are prosecuted as such.

Is media released in your nation required by law to be rated? Yes for broadcast media; no for personal media except if it warrants an 18 rating. All rated content is required to display the rating prominently and sufficiently to allow it to be read clearly - on the first screen for TV/movies, read out clearly at the beginning of a programme on radio, and clearly on the container and on the first page/screen of physical media such as video game discs/cartridges or books.

Does your nation use a rating system for media?
Yes, there are two rating systems used. The National Film and Television Association (NFTA) assigns ratings to movies and TV shows, while the National Gaming Association (NGA) assigns ratings to video games.

If so, what are the ratings?
The NFTA uses the following rating system:
  • Everyone (E) — Suitable for all.
  • Parental Guidance (PG) — General viewing, but some scenes may be unsuitable for young children.
  • 13A — Suitable only for persons of 13 years and over. Those under 13 may be admitted, but only if accompanied by an adult.
  • 16 — Suitable only for persons of 16 years and over.
  • 18 — Suitable only for person of 18 years and over.
  • Restricted (R) — To be supplied only in licensed sex shops to persons of not less than 18 years.

The NGA uses the following rating system:
  • 3 — The content of games with an NGA 3 rating is considered suitable for all age groups. The game should not contain any sounds or pictures that are likely to frighten young children. A very mild form of violence (in a comical context or a childlike setting) is acceptable. No bad language should be heard.
  • 7 — Game content with scenes or sounds that can possibly be frightening to younger children should fall in this category. Very mild forms of violence (implied, non-detailed, or non-realistic violence) are acceptable for a game with an NGA 7 rating.
  • 12 — Video games that show violence of a slightly more graphic nature towards fantasy characters or non-realistic violence towards human-like characters would fall in this age category. Sexual innuendo or sexual posturing can be present, while any bad language in this category must be mild. Gambling as it is normally carried out in real life in casinos or gambling halls can also be present (e.g. card games that in real life would be played for money).
  • 16 — This rating is applied once the depiction of violence (or sexual activity) reaches a stage that looks the same as would be expected in real life. The use of bad language in games with an NGA 16 rating can be more extreme, while games of chance, and the use of tobacco, alcohol, or illegal drugs can also be present.
  • 18 — The adult classification is applied when the level of violence reaches a stage where it becomes a depiction of gross violence, apparently motiveless killing, or violence towards defenceless characters. The glamorisation of the use of illegal drugs, and explicit sexual activity should also fall into this age category.

Are any ratings legally enforced?
All ratings are legally enforced.

Is media released in your nation required by law to be rated?
Yes.

Yes. We use separate systems for games and television/movies, both approved by the Trenakan Ratings Committee, a branch of the Trenakan Communications Commission that deals with different kinds of media ratings.
If so, what are the ratings?
-Movies:
A: All can see this movie.
G: Guidance by a parent is suggested for this movie.
G-13: Guidance is suggested until the age of 13.
R: Only 18 year olds and up can watch this.
R+: This movie is very intense in terms of violence and/or sexual content, moreso than R. 18 and up only. (R+ is mainly advisory)
-Games
E: Anyone can play this game.
E13: Anyone at or over age 13 can play this game.
E18: Anyone at or over age 18 can play this game.
R: This game has many instances of heavy blood/gore or sexual content. 18 and up only (R is mainly advisory.
Are any ratings legally enforced?

Is media released in your nation required by law to be rated?
Producers must send a sample of their product to the National Media Evaluation Office for evaluation, as a product may not be released in any way without a classification. Does your nation use a rating system for media?
Yes.

If so, what are the ratings?
Ratings issued by the Danavarian Media Classification Board (DMCB) under the Film and Video Recordings Act (1991), displayed before all films screened in public and on the packaging of videos, DVDs and Blu-Ray discs:
U - Universal; suitable for all.
PG - Parental guidance; may not be suitable for younger children.
12 - Not suitable for children under twelve. Children younger than twelve must be accompanied by an adult.
16 - Not suitable for children under sixteen. Children aged 12-15 must be accompanied by an adult.
18 - Not suitable for children under eighteen. Children aged 14-17 must be accompanied by an adult.
X18 - Pornographic material; only to be provided at specially licensed venues to those older than eighteen.
E - Exempt from classification. Sports, music and religious programmes, as well as some documentaries, fall into this category.

Ratings issued by the Federal Telecommunications Authority (FTA) under the Broadcasting Act (2002), displayed before all programmes on free-to-air television:
G - General viewing; suitable for all.
PG - Parental guidance; may not be suitable for younger children.
14+ - Not suitable for children under fourteen. Can only be shown post-watershed (9:00pm-5:00am)
18+ - Not suitable for children under eighteen. Can only be shown post-watershed (9:00pm-5:00am)
Some programmes such as news broadcasts are not given a rating, however news presenters are required to warn audiences of any potentially distressing content in their reports.

Video games are classified according to the PEGI rating system.

Are any ratings legally enforced?
Yes. Businesses can be punished for allowing underage children to access content with 16, 18 and X18 ratings. All other ratings are merely advice for parents/guardians.

Is media released in your nation required by law to be rated?
Yes. Any film refused classification by the DMCB cannot be given public release. Similarly, video games without a PEGI rating cannot be sold in Danavarian stores. TV networks that broadcast programmes which have not been submitted to the FTA are likely to incur fines.

Does your nation use a rating system for media?
Yes, we have one for film, television, and interactive media (i.e. video games)

If so, what are the ratings?
[ Y ] -- Youth: This media is most suitable for those under age 10.

[ U ] -- Universal: This media is suitable for all ages. (Comparable MPAA rating: G)

[ S ] -- Supervision: This media is suitable for all ages, but parents may wish to supervise children under the age of 12. (Comparable MPAA rating: PG)

[ M ] -- Mature: This media is suitable for teenagers and adults. (Comparable MPAA rating: PG-13)

[ A ] -- Adult: This media is suitable for adults only. (Comparable MPAA rating: R)

[ X ] -- Explicit: This media is suitable for adults only due to pornographic or otherwise obscene content. (Comparable MPAA rating: X)

Are any ratings legally enforced?
No, these ratings are merely industry guidelines for those considering consuming the media in question. There is no legal penalty for selling a 12-year-old a ticket to an A-rated movie, for example, but (a) it is presumed that parents are responsible for ensuring their children do not access media for which they are not sufficiently mature, and (b) many theaters and game retailers have self-imposed restrictions regarding preventing young people from accessing media inappropriate for them.

Is media released in your nation required by law to be rated?
No; each studio, television channel, or game publisher is responsible for assigning the rating they think is appropriate to the media they are releasing, but are not required to do so. Those purchasing the media in question would likely look with some suspicion at unrated media though, especially if they were considering purchasing it for a minor.

Does your nation use a rating system for media?

Yes, all print and digital media are rated.

If so, what are the ratings?

A universal rating system is used for all commercial print and digital media, including books, magazines, manga, television programmes, movies, games, and holo-videos.

全年齢: All Ages
Contains content suitable for all ages.

R10歳以上向け: Ages 10+
Contains some violence or questionable humor and language.

R15歳以上向け: Ages 15+
Contains sexual undertones or some nude/seminude scenes, extreme violence, lots of harsh language.

R18 (成人向け): Adult Only
Contains sexual scenes and pornographic content.

Are any ratings legally enforced?

They are more of a guideline for consumers than anything else, there are no restrictions on who may purchase material except for R18 (Adult Only) content.

Is media released in your nation required by law to be rated?

All media in the nation is released by the Ministry of Culture, which rates it.
