the largest earthquake recorded was in 1978 and was a 8.3, although many people say the largest earthquake happened way back when the villages of the region first united in 1423 but there is no record of the actual earthquake just that people say that mountains completely crumbled away, all houses were destroyed and the lakes moved.

There is really no accurate memory but what seems to be the highest was a 9.8 magnitude earth quake about maybe 2 years ago. The country has many earth quakes but this one has now have rumors that it made a new plate. Stretching from the Leonardi Mountain's to the west coast of Scario. The next major earth quake is predicted to occur in 2015. The recent earth quake had no casualties for it was in a uninhabited part of Scario. But it made a massive 5 mile trench in that part of the country about 8,000 feet deep.It was placed in a 5,000 ft. valley below sea level. Scientists were astonished. It is said to be the boundary. And it is haunting memory of the disaster that had torn the mountains of which Scario was born......apart.

The biggest earthquake in Reich1 happened in 1990 which had magnitude of 11.00 and caused too many deaths and the economic cost were recorded of $9900 Trillions. This earthquake caused so much damage of so huge amount of economy that the democratic government could not get it back to track and the new Nazi government was formed which is in power till now.

In 1886, when the 1886 Jourboulefe Earthquake occured. It was a magnitude 6.7 earthquake, but the government swiftly responded to the surronding area of Jourboulefe Town, and survivors were very astonished by the quickness of aid (it arrived in 2 days, as Jourboulefe is located only 98 miles away from the capital Bourdes.) However the death toll was 16, and injuries were 40.

Due to its geoprapic logacion the nation of Marcurix does not get many earthquakes, usually the ones we experiance are aftershocks with no bigger magnitude then a 3.2, and even this is rare.

None, and hopefully it never happens because the collapse of a single residential building could kill millions by itself. Now imagine ten of them... or 15, or 20.

Officials estimate a quake of a decent scale could kill as many as 11 million, or as little as 735,000.

Twas an 8.9, and literally split our capital down the middle. We had to rebuild it into 2 cities, and then completely moved all government offices somwhere safer. The damage was in the billions, and the fact we were being invaded almost made it the worst thing to hit Unilisia then the 6 Birkainian Days. But thats another story...

None occured after the Founding of Good Atheists, but the volcanic eruptions that formed the chain of islands our nation covers triggered some pretty heavy seaquakes. Their is no official mesurement, but estimates range of 4.0 to 6.1, and they caused some tsunamis.

The largest earthquake to strike Myakka was in 2000 at a Magnitude 6.0 with an epicenter about 6 kilometers from the capital city. Despite the distance it was still very deadly and costly killing 2500 people and causing more than 2 billion Kyatts in damange. It was the costliest natural disaster until Cyclone Nam Sik-Jong costing 88.5 billion in 2005.

OOC: Chile is hardly third world.

IC: Although there are almost no earthquakes on record, the style of traditional Niuri buildings suggest that in the past an earthquake of massive scale may have occured. It is beileved to have happened around 7540 BCE, and certain mountain movements and other such minutae suggest that it may have been one of the largest earthquakes ever. It is now believed that there was a land strip that connected Kaita Major (Kait) to Kaita Minor (New Kait) and such an area of land was likely destroyed by the earthquakes. Maps from the time show the Kaits as one island, as to archeological data. It also created a massive tsunami, that likely covered all of Nacre before recededing, which the likely explains the sudden disapearence of all culture from Nacre, as well as the change climate and PH levels in the soil. This earthquake was judged to be around 10.5 to 12.0 on the Richter scale.

The 1971 Bernoulli Earthquake was a 7.3 magnitude earthquake that struck off of the west coast of the Colony of Basse-Antilles at 9:22 p.m on November 20, 1933. The main shock epicenter was located in the Bernoulli Bay on the south west coast of Isola di Bernoulli. The shaking associated with this earthquake was only felt at the small town of Eulerton, one of the few populated towns on the island. The 1971 Bernoulli earthquake is the largest recorded earthquake in the Basse-Antilles region. Luckily, no damage was reported during this earthquake because of its offshore location and the small population of the nearby onshore communities.
