It really Doesn't fit the aesthetic established by your previous images, such a clean price totally breaks the whole retro futurism/ space medieval vibe.

Honestly from your previous images and the term rail musket I would honestly be expecting something like a flintlock musket with space gebbles/dohiccies attached or perhaps something like the 40k laslock peices.

Most US firearm regulations require a weapon be semi-automatic to qualify as an assault weapon. Often they also have to be able to accept detachable magazines, but this varies somewhat between states.

What are the primary methods that cavalry scouts do recon?

Ride close to enemy, look at enemy, ride away.

Ride close to enemy, dismount, capture a couple of entries, bigger off sharpish.

Etc etc.

But basically it's about getting close enough to the enemy so you can get an idea of what he is up to whilst keeping away from his defensive screens
If you can't avoid his screening units then you need to fight them until you can pull back safely.

Basically the same principles apply to the royalist cavalry during the Monmouth rebellion as it would to the formation recce units of the BOAR.

True "Assault weapons" should've been full auto capable, not semi. Heck, M16s without full auto should've been legal.

Dude they are talking about us civilian firearm legislation, politics and hoplophobia so full auto is pretty much of the picture.

It has nothing to do with the actual technical designations of military arms.

And even in military designations the FAL is an assault rifle, as it's select fire and fires what is technically an intermediate cartridge
