South Japanese Anime is Banned. Only Anime created in Hokkaido-Sakhalin is allowed, and it usually has a propaganda message implanted.

Not popular at all in our nation. Animes are generally all the same, they are usually really cheesy, cliche and corny.

Generally speaking, citizens don't think about anime often, if at all, and it barely exists here. Little is known about anime, and there are very few who are seriously interested in it. There has only been one successful anime franchise, which was imported.

Even so, if this form of animation was to permeate the cultures of these Nexuses, they would most likely be banned for containing anti-Nexonic messages... except for the animations that come from the Asian Nexus.

The Asian/Asiatic Nexus is the Nexus of Man's largest consumer and producer of these types of art styles. Since the Asiatic Nexus is located in the East China Sea, between the United Dominion of Asian People's Chinese and Korean regions, and the Frenkish Dominion of Japan, it is to be expected that a large amount of ethnic Japanese reside within the 11 million-sized underwater megalopolis. Here, those who have studied the pre-War styles of Japanese art and animation (a.k.a anime) in accordance to Nexonic schools of thought and morality, are able and are sanctioned by the local government to produce such mediums of entertainment.

This all changes, however, with the exile of the Nexus of Man from Earth, and the establishment of the Autem Galacticus Nexum on the planet of New Rhazieya.

After the Rhazieyan Civil War, the world of New Rhazieya was in ruins. Even though the pro-Christian Clan of Theocrats overthrew the atheistic Clan of Neohumanism and instituted an Abrahamic theocracy over all of the planet's population, many were still miserable and discomforted from the terrors that were sustained during the war. A prominent member of the Clan of Theocrats (and an ethnic Japanese in ancestry) named Kataga Nozh'iikawa lobbied to the (then still non-divine) Yehoshua Canto to create a universal option of entertainment and tame recreation for the New Rhazieyans. This universal option was, coincidentally, anime.

This did not catch on so fast during its infancy as being delivered to the Rhazieyans. Many sought out peace from actual religious services, plays, and literature, rather than watching television shows or browsing the (archived) internet. However, as the general Human Development Index of the planet grew through the ecumenization of the planet's surface, the availability of technology such as television sets and holoprojectors increased, which enabled this form of animation to flood the recreational cartoon market.

Although never called anime by the Nexumians (rather called in the Nezhlayahari tongue as Kisidikydi Kithidxkydihth, or literally "Asiatic Animation", and miniaturized to Kithdx), it still held a large portion of influence over the younger generations of the Nexum, who were drawn to its flashy colors and style over the realism of older generations' movies and plays. It's a form of art and entertainment that is present in the Workers' Republic of Bryansk as an active subculture. We like it, because it brings diversity to our frosty land up north of dense forests and harsh winters. The Workers' Party does not see a need for banning it as long as it isn't a promotion of defamation or incitement against an ethnic, sexual or similar group. For example, a portrayal of racism or racism as a trait of the society or characters of a work of art or entertainment is fine, but a promotion of racism, fascism or nazism wouldn't be. The anime subculture in the Workers' Republic of Bryansk is, much like anywhere else, generally open-minded and tolerant, so the government sees no especial reason to intervene in it.
