What are the ranks and appointments of your nation's army?

Appointments/Decorations: St Idris' Cross: For those who have actively served in HM Loyal Forces for more than 15 years.

Prince Harri's Honourable Service Medal: For those who acted to save the lives of civilians even when off-duty.

Operative Service Medal: For those have maintained Taracy's military equipment for more than 3 years.

Medical Service Medal: For those who have helped many as an act generosity.

Distinguished Service Cross: For those who have shown an act of bravery during combat.

Humanitarian Service Medal: For those who have delivered humanitarian and medical aide to those who need it most.

Co-operation Medal: For those who have co-operated with other agencies to deliver an efficient outcome.

Long Service Medal: For those who have served the military for over 20 years.

King Jacob I Bravery Medal: For those who have shown bravery during their active service.

Prince Anthony's General Service Medal: For those who served in the interests of the people and the crown.

King Jacob I Personal Respect Medal: For those who lost their lives in the interests of the people.

The Taracian Cross: For those who have saved the lives of many but lost theirs in return.

The Nortan Army has officer ranks and other ranks. Officers, who wear their ranks on their cuffs in full dress and on epaulettes in duty dress, have typical ranks. A pip is the star of the Order of the Knights of the Cros, a military order of knights. They are as follows.

Ensign (Cornet in the cavalry): 1 pip
Lieutenant: 2 pips
Captain: 3 pips
Major: crown
Lieutenant colonel: 1 pip and crown
Colonel: 2 pips and crown
Brigadier: 3 pips and crown
Brigadier general: crossed swords
Major general: crossed swords and 1 pip
Lieutenant general: crossed swords and 2 pips
Captain general: crossed swords and crown
Field Marshal: crossed batons and crown

The standard other ranks in the standard Infantry are as follows, with full-dress insignia quoted.

Private: no insignia
Lance corporal: one white chevron
Corporal: two white chevrons
Lance serjeant: three white chevrons
Serjeant: three gold chevrons
Staff Serjeant: three gold chevrons surmounted by a crown
Colour Serjeant: three gold chevrons surmounted by two crossed colours and crown
Warrant Officer Class II: four gold chevrons, surmounted by a crown if appointed a Serjeant-Major
Warrant Officer Class I: Large crown

The rank of Warrant Officer is divided into two classes, both holding a warrant from the King. Other appointments include specialised trades or skills in various corps, such as the Schoolmaster, Artificer Serjeant Major, Farrier Serjeant Major and Under Serjeant Major.

Notes

1. All Supreme Commanders command ALL branches, and hold the NATO rank of OF-11.
2. The Commander High Marshal and other 6-star ranks are equal in seniority.
3. The Coast Guard is part of the Gendarmerie.
4. To translate officer ranks to Japanese, get the Japanese name of the branch, then add the Japanese name of the rank after it (e.g. Field Marshal becomes 陸軍元帥).

Reserved Ranks

1. The Generalissimo rank is reserved for the Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Gamindustrian Allied Forces. Current holder is Lady Neptune / Goddess Purple Heart.
2. The Grand Marshal rank is reserved for the goddesses that govern the nations, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense and Security.
3. The Commander High Marshal rank is reserved for National Ministers, National Secretaries of Defense and Security, Theater Advisors and the Overseas Commander.
4. The 6-star general officer ranks are reserved for the Chiefs of Staff of the Gamindustrian Army, Navy, Air Force and Gendarmerie. Except for the High Marshal of the Gendarmerie, has the potential to be an honorary/wartime rank, akin to General of the Armies of the United States and Admiral of the Navy.
5. The 5-star ranks (except for Naval Infantry and Gendarmerie) are reserved for theatrical army, navy and air force chiefs of staff. Also an honorary/wartime rank.
6. The Marshal of the Naval Infantry rank is reserved for the Chief of Staff of the Gamindustrian Naval Infantry. Has the potential to be a wartime rank
7. The Marshal General rank is reserved for theatrical gendarmerie chiefs of staff, as well as the Gamindustrian Gendarmerie ground branches chiefs of staff.
8. The Grand Admiral rank for the Coast Guard is reserved for the chief of staff of the Gamindustrian Gendarmerie Coast Guard.
9. The High General for the Gendarmerie is reserved for the chiefs of staff of the national gendarmeries, as well as subordinates to the chief of staff of theater gendarmeries and some subordinates to the chief of staff of the Gamindustrian Gendarmerie.
10. The High Admiral for the Coast Guard is reserved for the chiefs of staff of theatrical Gendarmerie Coast Guard.
11. The General and Admiral ranks for the Gendarmerie and Coast Guard is reserved for the chiefs of staff of the branches of the national gendarmeries, as well as subordinates to the commanders-in-chief of the national gendarmeries.
