What percentage of the population do women make up? 44%.
What is the perception of women in society? They're on an equal playing field to men in virtually all areas of life.
What clothes are women expected to wear? They often wear typical female clothing (dresses, skirts ect.) but aren't legally bound to do so.
Are women expected to wear make-up or cosmetics? In formal occasions, yes, but in everyday life not as much.
Do women usually hold a job? Yes.
If so, what kind of jobs? They can be anything, but usually take up the largest economic sectors, book publishing and food.
Are there any jobs that women are barred from legally? No, not any that men aren't barred from.
Are there any jobs that have recently allowed women? Construction was one of them, but received pressure to change this.
What is the public opinion of women holding jobs? "If it helps them make enough money to live, why not? They need the experiences after all."

What percentage of the population do women make up? No census data currently available for this detail. Estimated between 45 and 53 percent.
What is the perception of women in society? Total Equality. If the precursor state Lirum-Arixo was born from did one thing right, they didn't discriminate.
What clothes are women expected to wear? Whatever they like.
Are women expected to wear make-up or cosmetics? No. Such luxuries were uncommon amongst the general populace before the Free Territory's founding, though such things are far more accessible now.
Do women usually hold a job? It is expected to the same degree as everyone else.
If so, what kind of jobs? While there are no professions women are expected to pursue, the legendary and innumerable heroic exploits of Lirum Ashalenset during the collapse of the former empire has inspired a significant number of woman to pursue military or active militia enlistment.
Are there any jobs that women are barred from legally? No.
Are there any jobs that have recently allowed women? As previously stated, even before the nations founding woman had no more restrictions placed upon them than men.
What is the public opinion of women holding jobs? The most common answer received from citizens when asked this question was usually something along the lines of: "Why wouldn't they?"

Name of country: the Republic of Canvalland

What percentage of the population do women make up?
According to 2020 census, there are 53.7% of Canvish Residences who are living on Canvalland soil (including foreigner who plans to stay in the Republic for next half year) are female or claimed to be Trans-fem.

What is the perception of women in society?
The Republic and its law views female as equal members of society since its founding day.
However, during pre-war ages (1891-1941) it's rare to see woman working outside of family with few exceptions like nurses and entertainers. The woman in military did not happen until the year of 1932 when Diana Gunnarsdottir joined the National Guard of New Stockholm State. Conscription for woman was not allowed until 1946 and was not required until 1969.
Until today, it is still a popular opinion that woman fits a nursing or caring position better, but the woman workers are very common in nearly all common positions and politics.

What clothes are women expected to wear?
Anything they like.

Are women expected to wear make-up or cosmetics?
Depends. It's common to see the working class woman with little or no make-ups.

Do women usually hold a job?
there's 65% woman between 16 to 60 are employed, self-employed or actively seeking for job, slightly lower than male (with a figure of 69.8%)

If so, what kind of jobs?
White-collar jobs industry workers are the most popular. However, the woman in nursing industry (73% are female) and education (61% are female) is far more popular than men while in First-Respond Departments (32% of Firefighters, 39% of Policeforce and 41% of FR Doctors) are significantly lower.
There are 61 Senators in current Canvish Senate and 204 Members of Parliament are woman. Meghan Hall is the most recent appointed female Government Official who is the Minister of Internal Affairs since September 2021.

Are there any jobs that women are barred from legally?
No. Although the Canvish government does not impose quotas or require affirmative actions in workplace, it's strongly opposed to discriminate woman by any means.

Are there any jobs that have recently allowed women?
N/A

What is the public opinion of women holding jobs?
Normalized for a long time. It's very common to see woman workers in the workplace.

Name of country: The Patriote Republic of Canada (French: La République Patriote du Canada)

What percentage of the population do women make up?
The most recent census places this number at 49.6%.

What is the perception of women in society?
They are equal members to men in society and law. The 1839 Declaration of Independence of Upper and Lower Canada directly stated that all those who took arms against the British overlords would be granted the right to vote. Most of those partisans were men of course, but there was an account at a skirmish near Bonaventure (in Present-Day Quebec) which was fought by an all-women militia, dubbed the Sisters of the Revolution. Even the more conservative elements of the Independentists admitted this as proof that women were just as capable as men. Therefore, when the war ended and the Constitution of the Patriote Republic of Canada was drafted, it was stated that all, yes, all citizens of the Republic above the age of 21 would be able to vote in elections. With this occuring in 1841, Canada holds the distinction of being the first independent country in the world where women could vote and stand as candidates (though the first female candidates would only present themselves in the special election of 1899), more than 40 years earlier than the second nation to do so, New Zealand. The voting age would be lowered to 18 in 1925, and it would be even further lowered to 16 in 2011.

What clothes are women expected to wear?
Whatever the hell they want.

Are women expected to wear make-up or cosmetics?
Yes, but that's society's problem and is not mandated by law.

Do women usually hold a job?
Studies show that approximatively 79% of women in Canada hold a job.

If so, what kind of jobs?
Just about everything.

Are there any jobs that women are barred from legally?
Nope.

Are there any jobs that have recently allowed women?
Nope, nothing especially recent. Canada's liberal ideas made it that women are almost always somewhere within any particular business.

What is the public opinion of women holding jobs?
"Why couldn't they?"

Women in the Military?
The Patriote Brigades, established in 1839 as the official army of the Republic of Canada, allowed women to join as nurses at its very foundation. Soon enough, they were allowed to serve as rear-line troops, and in the last few months of the war in 1841, President Robert Nelson approved the creation of 3 all-female regiments, mostly composed of the former Sisters of the Revolution. These units were commanded by the first female officers of the world, though the rest of the military chain of command was comprised of male officers. With the disbanding of the so-called "Army of Aphrodite" in 1910 and its replacement with mixed regiments and equal opportunity for promotions, men and women have been defending Canada shoulder to shoulder since then, and there have been several instances of male troops insulting female soldiers, only to be beaten up by their fellow guys, and those cases have a tendency to be swept under the rug.

What is the perception of women in society? Tangatarehua is a society in which traditional gender roles are clearly defined, however unlike most European cultures Tangatarehua actually leans toward being a more matriarchical society. Traditionally women have held most jobs, positions of power and earned the most money while the traditional role of men has been use as sperm donors and cannon fodder - equality has only begun to rise through the 19th and 20th centuries as a result of various Masculist movements.
What clothes are women expected to wear? For most commoners, anything they damn well please, though of course there are some traditional clothes out there.
Are women expected to wear make-up or cosmetics? Not usually, but they can if they want. It's certainly become more common as the nation has become more exposed to western culture, fashion and ideas.
Do women usually hold a job? Yes
If so, what kind of jobs? Anything they damn well feel like.
Are there any jobs that women are barred from legally? Aside from traditional roles like the Rangatira, no - although women in the military is a rarity.
Are there any jobs that have recently allowed women? The military now allows women to serve, but few do.
What is the public opinion of women holding jobs? It's considered perfectly natural - the idea of men holding jobs is more controversial.

What percentage of the population do women make up? Approximately 52%

What is the perception of women in society? Australic society is highly egalitarian, and whilst stereotypes exist there is no one generalised perception of women in Australia; such distinctions are made moreso along geographical and occupational lines than biological.

What clothes are women expected to wear? The appropriate attire for their occupation, or any manner of casual wear. While some forms of clothing are generally more favoured by women, such as skirts, the emphasis is on utility, comfort, and durability.

Are women expected to wear make-up or cosmetics? Not in everyday life, no.

Do women usually hold a job?
Yes; there is a negligible gender gap in regards to employment.

If so, what kind of jobs? Most occupations do not skew towards any one gender, though those that skew towards women the most are in the medical, textile, education, and telecommunications industries.

Are there any jobs that women are barred from legally? There are no legal prohibitions on the occupations women may pursue. The only jobs not open to women would probably be gender specific religious positions, but such prohibitions are not resultant from Australic law.

Are there any jobs that have recently allowed women? Few jobs have ever been explicitly legally tied to a specific gender.

What is the public opinion of women holding jobs?
As citizens within Australic society there is an expectation of civisme universal to all, within which women are included and held in identical standard to any other gender.
January 27° - The 2025 Federal Election season has begun! Initial three-party preferred polls put the I.S.P. ahead at 37%, followed by the Country Party at 34%, then Labor at 29%.

Name of country: Dasar Smaf I-Rotah (Holy Federation of Stars)

What percentage of the population do women make up? Biological women make up roughly 50% of the population, though legally this number is variable due to some cultures having non-western gender roles, ranging from 49.86% to 51.24%.

What is the perception of women in society? It depends on the region. Generally speaking, most cultures have their own ideas of what a "woman" is and what they're expected to do. The Oztinians are a great example of one extreme, believing women are property to men - though for reasons they this is not legal ownership and it's mostly cultural stigma. The other extreme are the Kugin people, who instead view society as the reverse. However, most societies are either somewhere in between or have a “blue-orange” morality when it comes to gender roles. An example being the Millimer, who believe that some biological women are meant to do “masculine” (used very loosely, as describing concepts that are literally alien using human vocabulary is guaranteed to cause misrepresentation) gender roles and some biological women and men belong in neither category and are considered “Tizimizi.”

What clothes are women expected to wear? Entirely dependent on the culture, but most women are culturally expected to dress “modestly.” However, this is regardless of gender, and in most regions women are not legally obligated to dress a certain way - typically only doing so out of religious or cultural obligation.

Are women expected to wear make-up or cosmetics? No. Women wearing makeup and cosmetics for aesthetical reasons is a distinctly Earth concept. While some planets, such as Ahkmen, do have makeup for religious ceremonies - men are expected to wear them as well and it’s actually considered heretical to wear them outside of the ceremonies. While some individuals have adopted the practice, most do not, and it’s not expected of anyone outside of Earth.

Do women usually hold a job? Approximately 78.4% of working-age women are working, still slightly smaller than the 81.4% of working-age men who are working.

If so, what kind of jobs? Most jobs are roughly gender-equal, such as clerical work, service, STEM Jobs, etc. However, statistically speaking, women are more likely to take medicinal jobs than men, while men are more likely to take up blue-collar jobs. Though there are exceptions, this is the general average for the Holy Federation of Stars.

Are there any jobs that women are barred from legally? Legally no. Although, certain careers may be allowed to deny jobs under BFOQ defenses, such as actors who need to be portrayed as male. Of course, this is on a national level, and countries and regions may bar women from serving certain roles, such as Djibouti disallowing female police officers and armed forces members.

Are there any jobs that have recently allowed women? On a national level, no.

What is the public opinion of women holding jobs? In general, the population of the Holy Federation of Stars are okay with women holding careers and jobs overall. Positions on certain careers, such as the military, have some debate. However, overall, even “conservative” communities typically believe that women should be able to hold jobs.

Women in the Sacred League

Presence and perception of women

Women make up 51.2% of the total population of the city-states of the Sacred League, with women having a longer life-expectancy than men.

Ephyral culture has been considered highly misogynistic due to its views and treatment of women and girls. Women are seen to be inferior to men and naturally subject to them, with their natural place in society deemed to be under male command. The reasons behind or given for this view are manifold, and within Ephyra are often the subject of philosophical debate. Chiefly however, the physical proportions of women compared to men are cited. In Ephyral mythology, men were created first, and were for a time the only humans, and therefore synonymous with the concept. With the creation of woman as weaker, smaller, and lighter than men, the view amongst the Ephyral is that women are a deficient form of human (male) life, and therefore naturally inferior. Further, with respect to political and military ideals, man alone is seen as capable of asserting his freedom. Woman, being weaker, may have hers revoked at any time by any man, forced into slavery and being effectively unable to resist this. Because it is agreed in Ephyra that man is the guardian of female freedom and therefore master over it and her, woman cannot be anything but inferior. Indeed, it is generally agreed that of the two sexes, women are most suited and therefore most desirable for slavery.

Nevertheless, the Ephyral do not consider their own views of women to be misogynistic, and in fact condemn the hatred of woman for what are seen to be her natural qualities. Likewise, a blind love of women with ignorance to her perceived deficiencies is criticised. In general, the Ephyral see their approach to women as fundamentally neutral, operating with respect to the believed natural state of her. Women are associated with positive and negative ideas both, thought to be more tender, compassionate, and caring than men, but also more deceitful, dishonest, and cunning (whether intelligently or not) to make up for their lack of physical strength. They are also thought to be both less intelligent and less moral, requiring male guidance and rule.

Having been brought up in Ephyra, Ephyral women share the same perceptions of women (both good and bad) as are held by men, but often approach it from a different angle, citing female deficiencies as the reasons why men are socially obligated to look after and provide for women. Although this provides advantages for women in terms of protection and income, belief that men are the natural masters of women is genuine amongst Ephyral women, with the physical evidence alone often seen as proof enough.

With respect to family honour, a very important concept in the highly honour-driven culture of Ephyra, women are viewed simultaneously as an embodiment of that honour and a threat to it. Female honour is expressed almost entirely through their sexuality, as illicit access to a woman gained by a man from outside the family, whether with her consent or by rape, damages the honour of the family itself, harming the reputation of the men who were meant to protect her, and placing all other women of the family in danger. The treatment of women therefore is highly informed by the social reality that they can single-handedly devastate the reputation of the family, which can prove socially and financially ruinous. Women are kept on a very tight rein by their male relatives, restricted in movement and activity, for fear of dishonour. Due to the threat of abduction or rape that Ephyral women face if their men lose honour, female behaviour is most strictly policed by other, often older women.

In every way, Ephyral society is patriarchal, and women are answerable to men. Obedience is expected from a daughter to her father (although, in no way meaningfully different from that expected from a son), a wife to her husband, and to lesser extents, a sister to her brother and a mother to her adult son. Obedience is owed by all members of the family, not just women, to the family head, the oldest living male of agnatic descent who usually presides over multiple generations. Women wield no real authority in the family however, except over other women, children, and slaves. Whilst all men can expect one day to become the family head over their own families, as this power is split between all the sons of a deceased family patriarch, women cannot. Instead, female influence within the family is gained through her age, the number of children she bears, and also trust earned and gained from her male relatives by her obedience. That women can gain significantly within the patriarchal social structure of Ephyra by adhering to and supporting its male-dominant ideology has contributed to female anti-feminist attitudes, as feminist ideology is thought to be primarily a threat to the position of women.

Clothing of women

Ephyral women dress for modesty in heavy, shapeless attire. This reflects the social and sexual ideology of periphos, meaning "partition". In terms of spatial application, periphos refers to the physical seclusion of women away from unrelated males. This seclusion takes place within the house, in an area designated the lenaikion. Within this space, usually located in the far interior or rear of the house, or on a second floor, women are freed from other obligations surrounding modesty. The intent with this space is that unrelated males who enter the house to speak or visit men of the family never lay eyes on a woman of the family unless she is properly covered. This physical covering is the second aspect of periphos, adopted due to the impracticality of many women to stay indoors all day. When a woman is not within the lenaikion, she is to be covered virtually head-to-toe. Wearing a tunic as her underlayer, a heavy cloak as her second, with additional cloaks and veils potentially added, only a woman's face, hands, and feet are likely to be visible to the public. Many, often city-dwelling women, opt also to cover their faces (leaving only the eyes visible) and their hands via face-veils and gloves.

Women who dress indecently before unrelated males bring shame to their families and are punished. The intent of the heavy covering is to mark a woman who travels in public as protected, and to make her effectively socially invisible, especially compared to classes or professions of women who are by law prohibited from veiling. The public domain is considered the male domain, and travel through it is considered dangerous for women. Any woman entering that space must assert immediately by her appearance that she is under the authority and protection of male relatives who will defend her and her honour, or risk communicating that she is unprotected and therefore available. Part of the rationale behind face-veiling is to hide the features of a woman, therefore dissuading a potential attacker from selecting her on the grounds that she may not be worth the risk to abduct or rape, and instead encouraging him to target women from lower and less protected classes. By covering herself, a woman aims to protect both herself and men, the latter of whom value self-control and self-discipline, and who maintain the greatest threat to either is a woman.

Despite insistence upon modesty, Ephyral women are famously luxurious with jewellery, often wearing a piece on every limb and part of their body. Poorer women and women from the country pejoratively label city-dwelling or wealthy women as "janglers," in reference to the fact that their jewellery can sometimes be audibly heard whilst they walk. Anklets, bracelets, armlets, thigh chains, belly chains, rings, necklaces, chokers, and earrings are worn by nearly all Ephyral women, who are thought to derive pleasure from being simultaneously decorated and concealed. This is begrudgingly permitted by Ephyral men, as enforcing stringency on these grounds has proven difficult. Make-up is also worn, although not extensively, due to the fact that not all women veil the face.

Women and work

Ephyral women are not often engaged in work, save housework, or if rural, sometimes farmwork. Paid employment however is rare, although not completely unknown. Some Ephyral women have become teachers and nurses, although in general the attitude to women working is hostile. Men are expected to shoulder the burden of providing for the family. For a family to have its women working is humiliating and shameful, implying the men are not really men and cannot provide for the family themselves. Poorer families are the most likely to have women working. It is not unknown or shameful however for women of the family to sell goods produced, such as clothing or jewellery, an activity that quite a few Ephyral women are engaged in. Most often these are sold to other women, and is a way for families to supplement their income without compromising the modesty or chastity of a woman by having her attend a workplace.

Women are not as a matter of law prohibited from many jobs, but simply by custom do not work. Public offices however, which are not in Ephyra considered jobs, are denied to women as they do not have legal personhood, and are represented in all public matters by their male relatives.
