Name of country: Hell

What percentage of the population do women make up? 100%. In our timeline, males have been extinct for thousands of years, the very concept of "male" no longer exists.
What is the perception of women in society? Women are people. Or perhaps, more accurately in a time where males no longer exist... people are women.
What clothes are women expected to wear? This factbook covers this question in detail.
Are women expected to wear make-up or cosmetics? In informal, semi-formal, and formal situations. In casual and many similar situations, it is not expected, but sometimes done anyways, depending on the individual.
Do women usually hold a job? A decent number of women work, yes.
If so, what kind of jobs? Any sort of field.
Are there any jobs that women are barred from legally? None.
Are there any jobs that have recently allowed women? No, women have never been barred from holding any jobs in recent memory.
What is the public opinion of women holding jobs? Neutral; people in Hell are not inherently expected to work, rather work is a choice in our post-scarcity society.

They are seen as deserving of protection by and also from men;
Also depending on the woman they seen either as adorable, pure and a source of family honour or as dangerous temptresses.

What clothes are women expected to wear? Hijab (Headscarf and jilbab).
Are women expected to wear make-up or cosmetics?: it’s their choice.
Do women usually hold a job?: yes.
If so, what kind of jobs?:typically in jobs require intellectual rather than manual work(for example academics, lawyers and sociologists) or healthcare(doctors as well as nurses though), childcare etc.)
Are there any jobs that women are barred from legally?: the infantry(because a General said “it would never work”),
Are there any jobs that have recently allowed women?: the Navy(introduction of women’s ships).

Name of country: Great Bountiful Empire of the United Turtles, Mushrooms, and Men of TurtleShroom

What percentage of the population do women make up?
TURTLESHROOM II wrote:Percentage of women in the population:
  • Turtle population: seventy percent (due to tropical climate)
  • TS White humans and other whites: forty-two percent
  • Oriental humans: nearly a fifty-fifty split
  • Other races: varies from forty to fifty percent

What is the perception of women in society?
All females are seen as deserving of protection from males of their species.

Female humans are complementary to males, have purity and glory inherent to their bodies, and are life partners and friends. The ultimate ambition for a female human is to marry and have children. The ultimate ambition for a male human is to marry and provide for his wife and children. A husband is considered head of the household and supreme in the realm of finance and spiritual matters, as well as the general direction of the family.

Nonetheless, TurtleShroomian society considers human marriage to be a partnership of mutual submission between equal humans.

Female turtles, meanwhile, are dominant and three times the size of male turtles. Turtle society is wholly matriarchal.

What clothes are women expected to wear?
Modest dress is mandated by culture. A female human is expected to not show cleavage and to wear skirts or pants down to the tops of their kneecaps. It is not illegal to make them higher, but it is illegal to deliberately expose one's buttocks, gluteal folds, backside crack*, nipples, underpants and so on. (These rules, excluding nipples, are also required for males. Males also can't wear their "pants on the ground" or expose their underwear deliberately.)

Society and culture prefer a woman to wear a skirt or a dress and heels (and this is required by most white-collar businesses and the service industry), but there is never a controversy for a female human to wear pants. Some jobs, such as agriculture and many blue-collar professions, necessitate pants or robes for cleanliness, safety, or other reasons.

Are women expected to wear make-up or cosmetics?
No, but female humans are required to shave their legs and armpits. They are also expected to be clean and not smell badly. Female humans can wear makeup (or not) as they see fit, should they so desire.

Do women usually hold a job? Yes

If so, what kind of jobs? For humans, females mostly perform farm, clerical, secretarial, writing, and other "behind the scenes" tasks. Human females also make up a majority of medical doctors, pretty much all nurses, a majority of surgeons, and so on.

Are there any jobs that women are barred from legally? A female human cannot be an American football player.

Are there any jobs that have recently allowed women? No, females have always been allowed to attempt to attain most jobs.

What is the public opinion of women holding jobs?
Very positive. The Bible considers the ideal human female to be married, with kids, and working a profession. (Proverbs 31 describes the ideal wife as running or working in a linen business.)

Employed females are universally the norm to the point that being a housewife is seen as shocking. Stay-at-home housewives are considered a spectacular abnormality and the position is seen as one of great honor and remarkable servitude. Due to the agrarian and traditionalist nature
of the country, females have always been fully employed in the workplace.

TURTLESHROOM II wrote:Does your nation support gender equality? [blocktext]TurtleShroom's only anti-discrimination law that applies to the private sector (as long as it is not a life-critical service like food, police, fire, medicine) is sex-related. Unlike every other qualification, an employer must have a reason when he chooses not to hire a female creature over a male one. That reason is almost exclusively laid at the feet of female humans being weaker or more emotional than male humans. The former is almost always granted, the latter depends drastically on the situation and is rejected in many fields outright. Female humans cannot have a separate standard applied to them: to get into a job that has a test (be it physical or otherwise) they must pass a man's test the same as a man.

[...]

Females and males of all species maintain the same rights as each other. All females can own land, found businesses, invest and hold money, make legal decisions for themselves and others, stand for inheritance, drive and hold a job, and everything else. Females can initiate a divorce with the same reasons a male can and have a higher chance of getting custody, alimony, and other benefits (e.g. child support) if they are the faithful party in the divorce. (No-fault divorce is illegal in TurtleShroom and the law specifically favors the party that is not, or is less, at fault.)

What percentage of the population do women make up?: 50.9%
What is the perception of women in society?: They are valued human beings with rights and dignity, but they and men are not the same and only hurt themselves trying to be.
What clothes are women expected to wear?: What is the woman's role and who is doing the expecting? An ambitious woman in the business world dresses formally in a woman's suit or high-end dress. A religious, or even just happily married woman in the domestic world dresses comfortably but modestly in a kimono or robe when in view of strangers. A nerdy girl at an anime convention will often go in impressive cosplay for a contest or even a social media photo-shoot. A prostitute benefits if she will wear lingerie in front of strangers before they are even customers yet. It is hard to generalize.
Are women expected to wear make-up or cosmetics?: It is rare to see a woman out on the town or on the job without makeup unless they are one of the few in the military or police (where it is banned during service). However, it is totally acceptable to wear obvious make up (Geisha-style) in any public situation, rather than more subtle makeup that is just supposed to make you look like a hotter version of yourself (though this is also acceptable itself in ALMOST as many situations).
Do women usually hold a job?: About half do before marriage, and about a tenth after. (Does not include Homesteading, Homemaking or Informal assistance of Husband's labor.)
If so, what kind of jobs?: Reception, call centers, HR, Restaurants, Shopkeeps, Social Media Influencing, Prostitution, many others in smaller numbers.
Are there any jobs that women are barred from legally? Military Ground Combat.
Are there any jobs that have recently allowed women? Navy.
What is the public opinion of women holding jobs? They should not stay in the (corporate) workforce after they marry, lest they collectively lower the cost of labor to the point of needing to have both parents work to financially support their children, at the cost of being present for the children.

This; although you can see, men are expected to wear something similar. Modesty laws exist for both men and women and are the same.
Are women expected to wear make-up or cosmetics? No. The make up worn by women though are usually incredibly modest.
Do women usually hold a job? They do, although when married the rate of employment decreases. It's not mandatory though because maternity leave is available (for both men and women, women six months and men two).
If so, what kind of jobs? Any kind of job, although women often choose jobs over others.
Are there any jobs that women are barred from legally? Technically no. Conscription is mandatory for both sexes but women are typically given clerical or humanitarian positions but if they choose to, they can go into any job they wish while in the military.
Are there any jobs that have recently allowed women? No.
What is the public opinion of women holding jobs? Not a concern.

Since everyone is viewed as equal and the nation is ruled by a woman, women are often not considered very different from men (although their physical limits are not ignored). Equity over Equality.

Women in the New Britannian State

Postby Britannia Maior » Sat Feb 08, 2020 1:36 pm

Name of country:
The New Britannian State. It is commonly known as Greater Britannia. The Latin translation of the official name is Nova Britannicā Cīvitās.
What percentage of the population do women make up?
Around 51% of all Britannian citizens are of the female sex.
What is the perception of women in society?
Women are largely perceived as equal with men in general society. Historically seen almost solely as homemakers and childbearers, modern Britannian women are considered to be just as independent, wise and financially viable as a man. Men and women are equally expected to be respectful, responsible and mannerly, and youths are educated as such. Unfortunately there is a trend in society where women are far more likely to be seen as the victim or more likely to be defended in any confrontations with a man; women are also far more likely to win court cases against a man. These social inequalities will be gradually sorted out in the due future as the state engages in further social engineering.
What clothes are women expected to wear?
Women are expected to abide by workplace clothing regulations and uniform requirements during work hours or on/in the workplace. High heels and similarly unhealthy or impractical clothing have already been phased out of the majority of workplaces, replaced by more unisex or utilitarian wear. In casual settings women are free to dress as they choose so long it isn’t obscene. The leadership and their cabinet have made a professional example with the women dressing mostly in flats or boots, trousers, button up coats and dress shirts - mostly masculine clothing though some of the women and men are turning to formal bodysuits or other strangely futuristic attire.
Are women expected to wear make-up or cosmetics?
Not always, though the majority of women do.
Do women usually hold a job?
The vast majority of working age women are in permanent or part time employment. Stay-at-home mothers or housewives are no longer the norm, to the dismay of reactionaries. Future trends point towards the idea of women being homemakers disappearing altogether, with individuals each encouraged and taught to take care of their homes and share chores with their partners or fellow residents.
If so, what kind of jobs?
Women can be found in all sectors of industry, though the largest concentrations of female workers are in the fashion, entertainment, services and banking sectors. Men remain dominant in manufacturing, public services and protection sectors amongst others.
Are there any jobs that women are barred from legally?
Women are not legally barred from any areas of employment.
Are there any jobs that have recently allowed women?
Women were recently permitted to join the SAS, Army frontline infantry, and Royal Marines.
What is the public opinion of women holding jobs?
Public opinion is strongly positive, to the point that opinion on unemployed women has turned negative.
