As you can also see, I decided to take a crack at a different shading style with a heavy emphasis on simplifying everything!

Following my most recent post, I decided to do yet another compare-contrast, this time even further back to the far far years of the early 2010s when imageshack and tinypic were way more relevant!

The ones on the left were done probably in 2012-2013, and the new ones were done this week, and are most likely gonna actually be the vague representation of the dirty, poor, conscript-filled military of this e v i l version of Torrocca I'm planning on doing.

They're meant to be evocative of that very old depiction of when I decided to have this be a Soviet-esque proxy, and this 2014-2015 depcition when I decided to still have this be a Soviet-esque proxy. Without any of the Soviet or Communism, though!

Following up on this:



A selection of soldiers from various units in the Torroccan Empire. From left to right:

- A junior officer
- A militia volunteer or a conscript or just really most average soldiers not in the regular army (so basically really almost all of these guys are home/national guard more than anything)
- A soldier from a fancy rich county or somesuch place
- Another soldier from a fancier, richer duchy or somesuch place
- A radio operator
- An unfortunate from a penal unit, as denoted by the green cap and lack of a 20 or 30 round magazine for their rifle, which is instead sporting a 4 round internal magazine
- A machine gunner... with a helmet!
- A rocketeer... with a fancy cap!
- A sapper or engineer

Thanks! I miiiiight make them represent Torroccans of a more bygone era (1920s-30s esque) if only because I've gotten on a new form of brainrot thanks to Half Life, and made this fireteam:



Inspired, of course, by HECU, but with the added nicety of urban t-block and much more mismatching (probably gonna incorporate dbdu into the mix at some point) lmao

thus potentially begins torrocca's americanization era

I might also aesthetically go even further back in time to 17th-19th century looks in all honestly

Following up on this, now:

I've decided these are older uniforms and weapons in Torroccan lore, cropping up around the 1920s and existing for quite a while during a civil war.

The current standard state uniform, present on everyone, is this khaki thing (Note those with facial hair, barring Mr. Pipe there, would be stemming from hastily-formed militias quickly slapped into this cheap and mass-produced uniform):



Also featured are revolutionaries from the so-called United Front, the armed opposition of the current regime that's a mix-up of various ideologies ranging from liberalism to communism who've been together for a few decades out of sheer desperation (which is kinda one-sided; the old, liberal republic got its shit kicked in, and the communists fared somewhat better in general, though mileage may vary given this is a continent-sized affair). Current Torroccan lore is that things are about to explode into overdrive for everyone, fascist dictatorship and politically united-but-disunited revolutionaries alike. Fun!

Anyone in red is aligned toward communism, of course.

Yes, some of them wear shakos. And some look like they could easily be tossed into 40k, because why not? Futurrocca is spicy. c:

They all have tube-mag bolt-actions because I just wanted them to tbh, lore excuse is budgetary restraints + cultural reasoning in the military sphere + paranoia from the regime heads over giving their conscripts too much power (for the military dictatorship side of things) + just getting their hands on what they can (for the revolutionary side of things). Worry not, LMGs and other fun, more, actually modern things also exist!

New users are taken all the time, you just need to ask for your account to be activated in the designated channel om their discord. SB Admins got tired of dealing with spambots so they moved to manual account activation.

The AR-35/LGr-35 is based off one of my creations in Pimp my Gun (RIP to that website), it is the first mostly self-made gunbucket drawing made by me.
The RM7 is me bashing together the M16 and Stoner 63 and adding some features such as a paddle style magazine release.
The ST-M81 is a recreation of the AR-13 (with artistic liberty taken), a Negev LMG turned into an assault rifle via photoshopping, the first ever gunbucket drawing I did myself (excluding the STANAG magazine made by Dalamace).
The BR-22 is another bashing of designs, this time the Stoner 63, AR-18 and my own self-made parts.
The CAR-9 is based off of the Holloway HAC-7 and SIG SG 550, this time, I started using my own hand drawings and retracing them in Photoshop.
The CA3 is based off the Bushmaster Assault Rifle by Mack Gwinn and elements of the Leader T2 MK5 rifle, another one of hand drawings turned pixel art.

Been working on this ship for practice in blender, it’s my friend Krovs’ (Sanankou) Anchorage Destroyer with a few artistic liberties. It’s from his lore which is not on NS, but a google doc - so you won’t find it on NS. He made his ships in PMG (Pimp My Gun) which makes them extra impressive, however it did create issues when translating it to 3D, so I had to take some artistic liberties. Idk how this thread feels about works in progress but I just wanted to throw this one out there since I can’t work on it for awhile - I’m on vacation basically.

This image is rather out of date compared to the current model but it’s the most recent image of the front that I have.


Here is the (almost) current model from the rear. I think besides slapping some grills on the front of each of the big rear engines it’s basically the most current version. Note that this is still a WIP and I plan on changing some of the current things, as well as adding significantly more detail.


And of course, Krov’s’ bote : )

Also mentioning it is a friends’ ship to deflect anyone asking “why is there a carrying handle on this ship” as I have no clue but it definitely makes this basically a space gun. I think it looks a lot like a Nerf gun, the Longshot. Or the Morita Carbine from starship troopers. It’s also not a very realistic spaceship, but the addition of reverse thrusters is… something. I love how it looks but I am more of a hard sci-fi fan.

The right one (and thus its middle derivative) were kinda very partially based on camo worn by the USMC in WWII, a smidge on DBDU camo, and a spatter of multicam.

Going off my last couple posts, I decided to combine the mostly-khaki-and-gray Torroccan soldiers representing the (at present) imperial state in charge, and make a definitive sheet of some of Torrocca's forces!



Going top to bottom, we have:

1st Infantry Division "Golden Children", Army (Regulars)
98th Infantry Division (Condemned), Army (Ministry of Penal Administration)
33rd Fencible Infantry Division, Army (Home Guard)
67th Infantry Division "Firehearts", Army (Regulars)

And, left to right, we have:
Enlisted, standard uniform (third row features a medic, with a distinguishable white cap)
Enlisted, "winter" uniform (first row features a soldier bearing a "full" kit; the coat depicted itself is lightweight and thin enough to be worn in summertime conditions, with another as of now undepicted serving its purpose for colder situations than the ones generally expected)
Enlisted, vehicle crew (the same general attire is worn by both ground and air crews)
Enlisted, sergeants
Commissioned, junior officers
Commissioned, senior officers (second row doubles as a political officer)
