The poet and occultist Renford Ownby founded the Lynerian National Salvation Party in 1929 after a failed initial foray into politics as a candidate for the Social Credit Party. His eloquent rhetoric calling for a revival of the national spirit by purging foreign influence and trade unions proved popular in the economic and political turmoil of the 30s, and by 1935 the NSP boasted of having over 100,000 members, although this number was almost certainly exaggerated.

Following the re-election of a Liberal government in 1937, Ownby led several hundred members of the NSP in a march on the Senate with the hope of inciting a revolution. The marchers were scattered by a charge of the Horse Guards, and Ownby was arrested for offences against public order, spending a month in jail. Soon after his release he was caught in flagrante delicto with the wife of the NSP's General Treasurer and shot to death by the jealous husband, greatly hampering the Senate's investigation into suspected links between the NSP and several prominent industrialists and military men.

Decided to remake an old design I made a while back. might go extra anachronistic with rp stuff and make this the new uniform for my country tbh

Drew the teal bois in a different pose, and with a different and simpler style of shading (barring that on the rifles and helmet, which are as they were in the last drawing) since I'm gonna use these (and some others by Ungern) to make a metric fuckton of units and create l o r e.



EDIT: Decided to try another different shading style that includes adjustments to helmets. The line-up now has a sergeant, a private, and two militia bois (the left a state militia and the right a county militia, distinguished by nothing really, they both exist as generally atrociously-underfunded number-padding units for the military), as well as a medic in a very basic 1px:1.75cm scale pose I drew up myself.

I finally updated the little sprites for my uniforms (with a failed attempt to draw peacoats), I know quite small scale. Left to right for the first and second rows go: Automatic Rifleman, Fusilier/Pack Sergeants, Heavy Grenadier, Platoon Radio Operator, Medical, TAMI unit, and engineer. Second row is what they would look like with ranks, the brass looking dots is where the rank would go. Last line, left to right goes: Officer, Commissar, Infantry with patrol cap, Infantry with beret, Vehicle crew commander, Vehicle crew gunner, Vehicle crew operator.

Indeed! So it is perfect for WWII in space style naval battles. I should come up with more ship designs. I think next I might do an oil tanker.

Made a couple of camos using modified colors from that woodland patch I have; one's a three-tone and one's a six-tone that looks a tiny bit like multi-cam when applied onto dudes. Might either use this for my main instead of the fabulously bearded blue bois or for a puppet. Or both. idk yet lmao

Perhaps both, like the camo used by say special forces or assault troops while the blue is used by regular troops. Or perhaps you could do camo ponchos they get issued out?

I did some additional stuff of my own in relation to my last post. Very hefty update, featuring a diverse range of skin tones, a small adjustment to the bois' proportions as seen in the second row of peeps, goirls, body armor and equipment, some weapons, hats, etc. and this is now gonna be the aesthetic I stick with for my main and a puppet of mine.
