My kind-of-first attempt at making a map. Still kind of a wip because I'm gonna make some tweaks to it, and I feel like there's something missing but I don't know what. Suggestions welcome, because I know pretty much nothing about maps. Also apologies in advance for my utterly abysmal Latin.

That's pretty nicely done. The general aesthetic and color scheme is on par. No idea if the rose is pasted in or if it's original, but it works nicely and matches fairly well with the font mainly used.

The map can definitely use a scale. If not a dedicated scale bar, at least a mentioning of the dimension lengths for the grid squares. Although everything is pretty self explanatory, a legend may be nice; as may be obvious, it'll be best to include most, if not every, map element inside the legend. It may go beside the administrative regions box if you choose to keep that (more on that later). I could be the odd one out, but my gut feeling is that bordering a grid map with incomplete grids doesn't feel right — especially on a map surrounded by water. I would either complete those grids, replace them with an alternating pattern (a bit like what I've got here, numbering optional), or just crop them out. That's about all I have to say that is on the more "important scale" of things, but it's all ultimately your call.

A few other pointers that are more towards the personal preference side of things. Seeing how there's a gradient for the surrounding coast area, I'm not too sure if it'll be entirely possible while maintaining a good look. Then again, I don't know what you're using. Anyway enough digression. I would change up "Oceanus Atlanticus" to one of two ways. The first way would be rotating it 90° to the right (ie. no rotation) and making it take two lines; that may or may not require a canvas expansion. The second way would use the same rotation, but have vertical orientation. Here's a quick and dirty mock-up of what I mean. The second thing I would personally change is how the administrative regions are labelled. You can probably do away with the box and just directly label the regions on the map. I would go for a smaller font size (10pt maybe?), normal capitalizing, and italics. For any reference boxes, like a legend or the regions box, I would give them a background of sorts. A plain color would do just fine — either white or a very light blue. As for the map title, I would definitely move it to the top and perhaps make it stand out a bit more. Not entirely sure how that could be done, although my first instinct is to give it a backing of sorts; what exactly you use ultimately depends on the mood you're aiming for. The terrain's sloping looks a little questionable, but to be honest, I don't blame anyone for being a little lazy in that aspect.

The addition of rivers isn't entirely necessary in my opinion, but it would be a welcomed addition. Major roads would definitely be good.

Overall, that's some good shit. Personally I would change a few things, but it's perfectly usable as is.

This was supposed to be the "clean" build, but it's turned into a massive WIP with bits strewn all over.
This is a dropbox link, so anything I describe that's not there was correct at time of writing and since edited over.

I worked at a food factory earlier in the year, and figured I'd use my experiences there to create a part of a non-NS story (headcanon), with regards to insurgents, paramilitaries and a fascist Britain.
The figure in the top left corner is me! Balding, of course, so not me, but that's an almost-accurate representation of what I would turn up to work in. Then you wear PPE, basically a lab coat, plastic gloves, and sometimes plastic sleeves. Also plastic and heavy aprons. The figure in the top right corner represents a person who worked at this factory.

Except for the basic, modified figurine (not visible in this image), all work here is my own, in the Franscale format.

The shotgun and rifle are modified versions of weapons I use for NS. The "Grizzly" combat shotgun and the "Pitbull" assault rifle. RIS have been removed, and slight visual tweaks were made. The handgun is a Boberg-inspired handgun, the "Derringer" combat pistol.
The three men on the second row are paramilitaries in various states of dress, and with various modified forms of webbing (shit). The grenades are supposed to represent an M67 (green) and V40 (blue). The V40 is worn in a trio. In the story, I have not decided which side these paramilitaries represent. The factory workers all represent insurgents.
The factory worker next to them is wearing a combination of hair net (red) and snood (white), very badly drawn. First attempt for each. The men in aprons are wearing body armour (combination looks rubbish) and a Maska face-shield-helmet (raised).

Clearly unfinished, the RPG assistant (front and back view) is wearing a kind of backpack rack holding five PG-7V type rockets, and a shoulder sling carrying three further rockets under his arm. Next to him is another RPG assistant concept. He is wearing body armour under his backpack straps, which double as webbing. The RPG gunner is wearing his Maska face shield down. At the minute, he's carrying a backpack with two RPG rounds shoved in, one on either side, giving the team 11 rounds. I may decide to just bundle in five or so, giving the team 14 rockets.
For purposes of theme, I figure these teams would be unarmed, save for their launcher. Hence why I debated giving the assistant body armour.

The three men on the left of the bottom row are state paramilitaries, who are responsible for martial law. In this headcanon, the food factory's grounds (it is sited next to a playing field IRL) are a muster point for the local state militia, hence it being a target. The man on the far right is a soldier, intended for my Russian-derived NS nation. This man is a marksman, equipped with an accurised battle rifle ("Doberman" rifle). In a shoulder sling, he also carries a "Rottweiler" rifle in its cut-carbine PDW variant for personal defence and close-quarters battle. He is wearing a bandana.

The balaclava-wearing paramilitary man was a project I had to draw the "Alpha" character from Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel. I intended to use these characters to represent state security services responsible for defending the seat of power and senior military officials etc.

The jumpsuited paramilitaries are ripped directly from my NS nation, as they are intended to be state paramilitaries for me.
The jumpsuit's design, and the body armour, is a copy of the ISA space suit and body armour from the Archer episode(s) of Space Race.

"Cadet Blue" is the colour scheme from the ISA suit. Per the name, I chose to use it to represent cadet forces of my military and paramilitary in training. OD Green and Desert are service colours. The orange scheme is SAR/aid, the silver is a firefighting uniform. Black and White are more jokes tbh.

The men wear tanker helmets and white anti-flash hoods - they're all intended to be tankers, or navy personnel. They are again equipped with the Rottweiler PDW.

And, the Samozniy PSA (People's Standing Army) motor rifle platoon, sans their vehicles. Somewhat self-explanatory.
