soul is a Hyggematic word meaning "Sun"; it comes from the archaic form sowul, where intervocalic -w- subsequently dropped out, leaving soul. It's so named because our coins used to have a Sun emblem on the obverse.

The Lancovian Haid (LVH) is our currency, and is actually one of the oldest fiat currencies in the world. It is managed by the Reserve Bank of Lancov, printing and minting are done by two contracted state corporations. Banknotes come in 5H, 10H, 20H, 50H, 100H, and 200H denominations while coins come in 5h, 10h, 25h, 1H, and 2H denominations. There are larger denominations that are no longer issued but are still legal tender.
