Furries in your nation.

The furry fandom is a subculture interested in fictional anthropomorphic animal characters with human personalities and characteristics. Examples of anthropomorphic attributes include exhibiting human intelligence and facial expressions, the ability to speak, walk on two legs, and wear clothes.

In Donald J. Trump America, furries are misunderstood and often labelled, often without cause, as pedophiles or rapists due to the media portraying them as sexual degenerates who bask in sin. Furries are usually deported because that's how we deal with people we don't like in Donald J. Trump America. We deport them over the border with Mexico. How are furries treated in your nation?

In Yodle, furries are a misunderstood, but respected, minority who tend to congregate and live in the same areas. This has resulted in towns and cities known specifically for being pro-furry, where you see furries in costume on the streets with no one giving a second glance.

They are non existent. Not because the government directly persecutes them, but because our culture and society has reached a point where the idea of being a furry is seen as complete degeneracy by the general population thanks to general misconceptions and an extremely closed society.

While not listed as "untermensch" or "Scheißemensch"under the Westmoorian National Census, hence not persecuted nor exterminated, furries are not treated as equally as a normal citizen of WG and are often seen by other Westmoorians as "non-human".

"These sort of degenerate individuals are frowned upon and excluded from society at large from decent citizens.

No one should hold a fetish such as this. "

HyperNet trends and foreign pop culture are not considered Official priorities unless deemed subversive, and even then the first step would probably be monitoring by the Ministry of State Security, something which itself needs authorization by it's director and/or a security council within it.

Our nation in inhabited by furred anthropomorphic non-humans, so that seems to be a non-issue here. But if our non-humans started to use naked ape aka "human" clothes, they would be a laughing-stock to other citizens, although the government will do nothing against them (but officials will mock them too). Being ridiculous is not a crime here, but ridicule ridiculous people is not a crime too

The United Crowns of Grand Adruvain has a history with the Furry Fandom. During the days of the first Adruvish Empire (which lasted till 1996) members of the Fandom making Fursuits, Planning conventions, and the like were generally exiled to Crown colonies such as St.Helena, The Maldives, and Belize (which now themselves have major Furry communities do to this). However, the crown has began taking a more Liberal approach to them, allowing them to hold conventions and gather, have Fursuit producers, however, Conventions cannot be held in Waydon, the Royal Capital, and you may not wear a Fursuit 1,000 feet away from a convention center.

We accept them, but we tell them to be a 'Furry' in private or in one of our many Cosplay-cons.

as of 2016, the ethnic groups identified as "furries" were as follows: Lion, Turtle, rabbit, monkey and canine. they make up 7.66% of the current population of 2.082 billion and have a total population combined at around 160 million.
they have various mixed communities, with several nicknamed "Zootopias" Government Anthropomorphic Residential Areas. the largest of these is GARA-3, which holds 40 million, or one fourth of all the different creatures living in the nation, and is void of humans. it is spread over various climates depending on where you are located.

Overall attitude is "meh". If people want to dress up in animal costumes or do others things, that's their business. If they want to hold a convention, they can do so, and several large furry conventions do exist.

Overall, it's seen as an acceptable fetish. As long as you're not publicly displaying it or forcing your beliefs onto others that do not want it, it's no ones business. They're a small minority in the nation.

The furry fandom in our nation is primarily made of children. Due to this, sexualization of furries are uncommon and even frowned upon. Overall, they are treated equally just like everyone else and the public doesn't mind and let them have their conventions and stuff.

In Frenequesta, furries don't have to wear awkward fursuits--they can get plastic surgery to actually make them anthropomorphic animals. And for a time, the government actually subsidized such procedures, thanks to heavy lobbying from the Metaforms Collective.

That it was once subsidized indicates that the furry subculture is actually fairly mainstream in Frenequesta. Some sociologists have suggested this is because Frenequestans have grown to long for Earth and its natural life as the generations went on. In addition, a gradual breaking down of religious and social dictations as to what is "acceptable" has made subcultures that some may see as "weird" somewhat less so. (On the flip side, the Freneq furry subculture is somewhat less sexualized than in other countries, as there is no longer the emotive connection between animal behavior and sexual impulses.)

Several Presidents of Joplinia-Lambscott, such as Josephine LeMay, Douglas Keller, and Francis Rawlings were open furries, and Richard Yves-Carter is known to have attended furry conventions regularly (though he always went under a disguise and fake name). Our last Minister Advisor and President, Gunther Zuroweste, is also a furry.

Some of our people who we call "bona furries" descended from humans who were wearing furry suits at the time a great nuclear war was going on. The nukes melted the suits into their own skin

As a nation of chimpanzees, you can understand why citizens have sympathies with the furries cause. That said, few here are actually furries.
