Furries in the sense of actual anthropomorphic animals: We actually have two races of anthropomorphic animals. The dragons are able to shapeshift from four legged forms into human sized two legged forms. The Hanbukitsune are a race of anthropomorphic foxes derived from the Union of Japanese Kitsune spirits and human men. They both are technically minorities, but make up a decent chunk of the population. They are treated equally to humans, elves, and dwarves under the law. Furries in the sense of the fandom: We don't mind them, but we don't care for more extreme circles. Fursuiting is considered to be even worse than blackface in terms of racial insensitivity, as the Hanbukitsune and dragons don't take kindly to grown human men crafting and wearing candy colored caricature costumes. Common furry mannerisms and slang are considered strange and highly inaccurate and offensive by the very races American and European furries idolize.

As for beings that are naturally covered with fur, sapient, and bipedal, we have a small community of baseline specimens that we obtained from a distant planet years ago. It is common for the furries and the bronies to get together and have raves or beer bashes late at night to celebrate their love of the furry bronie alliance. These are often raided by the police for illegal substances, and other illicit activites that occur late at night. There have been known to be secret warehouse parties in abandoned buildings where furries and bronies get together during the week.
