Time to do this song and dance again, apparently.

For obvious reasons, recusing myself from approval on this one.

BASIC INFORMATION
This is a request for: [X] Territorial expansion | [ ] Population expansion | [ ] GDP expansion | [ ] Nuclear weapons
Describe the requested increase in detail: As before, this isn't even really a request for "territorial expansion" so much as it is requesting that Lecia be moved from one place to another in order to have neighbors, now that Sjal has suddenly flaked and Strasskak has died of inactivity.
New map claim (image URL, skip if N/A): here

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Why is this stat increase necessary? This stat increase is beneficial because currently Lecia has no neighbors, again, and it can do more RPing and worldbuilding if it actually has nearby nations that it can interact with.
What impact will this increase have on your IC nation's strength? Namor will likely provide Lecia with things it currently doesn't have and couldn't have gotten from Evroseia or Strasskak (due to their hostility towards Lecia), and give the government support that it certainly didn't have before, but Lecia's still only a nation of five million with little in the way of resources.
How will this stat increase contribute to your roleplaying and worldbuilding? It means that I'll actually have neighbors to roleplay and worldbuild with again. Per Ainin's suggestion on the Discord, I've PMed Namor and we've already begun discussing the possibility of Namorese involvement in some recent conflicts in Lecia.

CRITICAL DISCUSSION
List at least two other ways that the desired IC benefit can be achieved: The two other alternatives would be to move Lecia closer to its Monic neighbors (which would give it people to interact with, if in a hostile fashion; but this would exacerbate the "Lecia is so far away from West Borea" thing), or to move it into West Borea near Katranjiev or Luziyca (but this might force Lecia to change its climactic and resource makeup, and it's well known that I'm fond of Lecia's desert climate because it makes it unique, and helps prevent it just becoming another generic slavland). I'd still maintain that this is the best location, however, because 1) it lessens Lecia's distance from West Borea while still allowing it to have the "exodus narrative" I've built for Lecia's early history and religion, 2) it gives Lecia a neighbor to interact with 3) that might be willing to support Lecia with resources Lecia lacks, and 4) it allows Lecia to keep its unique climate.
Critically discuss how will this stat increase may affect other nations or regional geopolitics: Lecia is small enough that it probably not have too much of an effect, but it will nevertheless give Namor another nearby ally to interact with
How have you contributed towards furthering the roleplaying and worldbuilding community of the region during your presence so far? I'll begin by just copy-pasting the thing I posted the last time Lecia had to move in order to actually have neighbors:

It's well-known that I am (at present) the only individual to have four different nations in this region, and admittedly I've been far from perfect in keeping all four of them alive. Nevertheless, though, I think I've been more active with four nations than some others have been with only one. Aucuria recently finished hosting the Esquarian Summit, which was successful both from an IC perspective (in that it came to an agreement) and from an OoC perspective (in that we actually managed to complete an RP). I've worked to integrate Aucuria's status as an early liberal democracy into regional canon, which has resulted in it inspiring everything from Namorese cultists to Tuthinan rebel leaders. Aucuria is also an active member of the EC. I've engaged in significant worldbuilding with regards to Senria and its neighbors; the Senrian-Xiaodongese War article on iiWiki is the seventh-longest page there, and Senria is heavily involved in the plans that Xiao has drafted for the future of East Borea through 2020. Siphria's conflict with the UNIR has been a part- if a small one- of the transformation of Nautasia from one of Esquarium's least active continents to perhaps its most active continent, and Ankoren and I have plans for continuing work in that area into the future. On top of that, I've done quite a bit of worldbuilding with Siphria, primarily with its antiquity.

Lecia, admittedly, is the least active of my four alts, but this is in part because the depopulation of Conitia has left it without anyone to really worldbuild or roleplay with. It's my hope that moving Lecia to Borea will enable it to be as active as Aucuria, Senria, and Siphria.

I will also add, however, that I've been working a lot recently on Lecia. I've been drastically expanding its iiWiki, fleshing out its history and culture, and working on bringing it into the regional canon again. Between the Internationale going inactive and Lecia's neighbors vanishing, that's been extremely difficult- every time I made progress, it seemed to vanish into thin air- but I've pressed on regardless and I'd like to continue working on and expanding Lecia- hopefully getting it as involved and integrated in the region as it was during the days of Michillies and Odissia. It is my hope that moving Lecia near to active, long-standing pillars of the region like Namor and Luziyca will lessen the chance of built canon being scrapped by retcons or CTEs, and that I'll once again be able to deeply integrate Lecia into the canon of the region.

I acknowledge that any acceptance is conditional on the increase having productive roleplaying utility to the region as a whole, and that it may be rescinded at any time if it becomes derelict or conducive towards powergaming.

BASIC DETAILS
IC name: Third Kamch Republic
Population: 11,971,560
Language(s): Luziycan, Kamch (Dialect of Luziycan, recognized as separate language in Kamchastkia)
Main culture/ethnic group: Kamch / Luziycan (Minority)
GDP per capita (USD): $5,837
Capital: Dinigrad
Government type: Military-Dominated Illiberal Republic
Nation description (at least a paragraph, please): Kamchastkia is a small, poor, and relatively unstable landlocked nation. Surrounded by highlands and infertile soil, it remained relatively isolated for most of ancient history until the Luziycan settlers arrived in the early 12th century CE. These settlers, traveling in the name of their religious sect quickly came to dominate the territory of Kamchastkia, bringing with them historically Luziycan institutions which later would come to form the Kingdom of Kamchastkia. The Luziycan-dominated royalty of Kamchastkia brought with them their unique sect of Christianity, which while not gaining hold among the native Kamch population initially, took root after centuries of evangelism and higher taxes being raised on heretics. However, despite vast intermixing of both Luziycans and Kamch natives, the two nationalities were still remarkedly separate in every aspect but religion, and when King Proclus died without a valid heir the continually growing tensions within the Kingdom brewed over into what is today referred to as the Kamch Avens Uprising named after a native blooming flower in the nation.

The Kamch Avens Uprising is referenced to by most as the foundation of a Kamch national identity seperate from the royal houses that had dominated Kamchastkia for centuries. After narrowly defeating the peasant rebels led against the mounted army raised by the King, vast reforms were put in place throughout the Kingdom highly restricting the power of the King's vassals in their treatment of the peasantry. It was at this time that the Church also was brought totally under state control with every church appointment having to be confirmed by the King himself. The centralization of power under the King continued for several subsequent reigns of monarchs. The absolutist monarchy was Kamchastkia was only abolished after the military in 1825 was ordered to raze a remote village for failure to pay due tax to the King. The King's Army, however, failed to obey these orders. A short civil war subsequently ensued with relatively low casualties, and due to the large Ethnic Kamch nature of the military, they were quick in deposing the King and the Kamch Republic was established.

While the Kamch Republic was called a Republic, most of the offices were appointed by election by villages, not individuals, with the legislative body being made up of 25 delegates who each represented 5 villages, and 5 representatives who voted on behalf of the two major cities of Koshelev and Dinigrad. This body composed together elected the President of Kamchastkia, who became the first ethnic-Kamch ruler of a modern Kamch State. However, not all was well during this period of Kamch history, with much of the Kamch Republic's legacy being its remarkable inefficiency, theft of the Rich's resources, and otherwise broad corruption. The short period of democratic rule in Kamchastkia was overturned just five years after it was installed with the military again intervening in political affairs to establish a pro-military candidate in the position of President, who quickly dissolved the legislature and refused to schedule or even discuss the holding of elections. This cycle continued for several decades, with the military and parmilitary forces constantly intervening and deposing a sitting President to appoint someone more favorable to their position.

At the beginning of the 20th century, however, democratic rule nominally returned to Kamchastkia with the appointment of a pro-democracy President who finally scheduled elections and reformed the legislature to be elected based on party-identification rather than by geographic area. This method of electing officials quickly began to upset much of the rural population, but they were unable to find support in a nationally affiliated party. This began the establishment of municipal governments, initially outside the law. Several municipal governments were initially shut down by the military, before the military began to disobey orders to intervene in 1935. This internal duopoly between the central and decentralized governments caused several violent encounters, and several contradictory laws being established. In 1955, with the assistance of Luziycan advisers and volunteers and in the name of anti-communism, the army began a severe crackdown on local government that furthered the destabilizing effects of Kamchastkia, and closely affiliated the new Kamch elites with the old Luziycan elites who still maintained much of the behind-the-scenes power in the country. The Luziycan psuedo-democracy continued for several decades until 1992.

In 1992 the rise of a villager, a man called Simon Denisov, to the high office of General of the Interior Troops was occuring without much attention given to him or his past. Simon had been highly apolitical throughout his career, though while he was interested in political affairs, he did not show it through his work and followed orders with extreme prejudice. However, after another show-election for the position of President occurred in Kamchastkia, protesters began to fill the streets of the capital, then Koshelev, and the military was once again sent in to ensure the protests did not become overtly violent. However, instead of dispersing the protests as usual after election day, Simon Denisov galvanized the troops in person to turn around and defend the protesters against the government. After several days of the tenuous situation Simon Denisov sent an announcement to national radio media which announced the "Unilateral and complete dissolution of the Second Kamch Republic, and the establishment of an interim military government under the official name of the Third Kamch Republic". While having public support for the deposition of the national government at the time, the public soon began to realize their mistake as critics of Denisov soon began to disappear, and state media was quick to no longer cover any news media that was overtly negative about the General. In 1995, after three years of government he declared himself President-General of Kamchastkia which he stated was necessary to restore legitimacy to the government while also assuring that the forces of foreign subversion.

This system of Denisov's government has continued to the modern date with nearly every citizen having some corrupt tie to the government, whether their jobs are assured by governmental loyalty, or they are blackmailed by the Army's Police Detachment. Denisov's government has established a remarkable period of stability in the country, however economic growth has stagnated with an average of 0.5% growth annually since 1995. Denisov's future seems established, and he has mostly remained neutral on the foreign field acknowledging Kamchastkia's weak position in the international field, and has mostly focused on the silencing of dissent domestically in order to preserve his position.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
What role do you envision yourself playing in international relations?: Irrelevant Belarus-like Role, given the limited size and poor nature of Kamchastkia it exerts no foreign clout and is frequently subjected to the will of its neighbors.
Critically discuss the strengths of your nation (esp. military & economic) and how they may affect existing regional power structures: Kamchastkia will possibly add more weight to Luziyca, depending on the Luzyican government, however given the poor and unstable nature of the country it is more likely to become a liability and be isolated than effect existing regional power structures.
If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: Reduce the population further perhaps, however, I believe Kamchastkia is already extremely nerfed.

GDP per capita (USD): 30,000
Capital: Dansk
Government type: Semi-presidential republic
Nation description (at least a paragraph, please): Okay, the country would be dominated by the capital city of Dansk. Dansk would be a large cosmopolitan city. Rich and very cultured. The rest of the country would be very mountainous, rural and conservative. Therefore, the whole country would be known as traditionalist and reactionary. Some parts would be dominated by slavic people while some other areas by asian people. These two ethnic groups would coexist peacefully but the society would be pillarized. That includes many institutions and politics. There would also be some smaller ethnic minorities hated by everybody. The economy would be based on agriculture, services and winter tourism. The dominant religion would be some form of Christianity (or some equivalent to it), Billyrian people are known as very religious and uncertainty avoidant but also very nice and friendly people.
I'll make iiwiki very soon, so there will be much more.

Map claim (High-quality Imgur link of your claim): I'd like to discuss that. this spot looks good (although the problem would be that it is landlocked). Anyway, I really like the continent of Borea and I'd like to make some sort of slavic-asian mix. So, I guess it is the right spot?

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
What role do you envision yourself playing in international relations?: Well, during its history Billyria would mostly be a defensive country, with a huge Luzyican and Namorese influence. Today, it would be mostly a peaceful place.
Critically discuss the strengths of your nation (esp. military & economic) and how they may affect existing regional power structures: As Billyria is a peaceful country, our military wouldn't be too strong. Main culture/ethnic group: Satarian
GDP per capita (USD): 25,820
Capital: Mirogoj
Government type: Centralised Federation, Parliamentary Republic
Nation description (at least a paragraph, please): Sataria has a history of being opressed. But not by other nations, but by itself. It has never really learned how to be a working independent country until the modern days. It all started with king Marko Marojić in 1482 when he became an absolute monarch and ruled over the country with an iron fist, having taxes raised so high that the population could barely afford bread, he siezed all of the land owned by farmers and workers, making them pay a hefty rent to live in their own homes. This opression of the normal population for the good of the wealthy has made millions of people emmigrate in the next centuries, the people settling in neighbouring countries. Some countries still have large Satarian populations, but they have assimilated into the cultures of their home nations so much it's hard to differ them from the local population without doing a DNA test. During the tzardom period from 1711 to 1892, the Panić dynasty was the sole fammily to own the nation. They had extremely strict rules and taxes, with them spending money on huge palaces and manors instead of helping the impoverished population. Anyone who opposed the tzardom was beheaded in public, with people having to watch and see what happens to anyone who tries to oppose the regieme. Their bodies were thrown in rivers, where Ceresnian locals would find them. The Tsardom was ended when Ilija Panić, the ruling tzar and his fammily of 7 members, were killed in a bomb explosion set up by communist revolutionaries. When the Panić dynasty ended, a power vacuum in the nation was created, and another oppressive ruler took power. His name was emperor Železov, translating to "Man of Iron". His policies of banning free speech, completely limiting the rights of women and children, limiting rights on Ceresnians living in the East of the country and mandatory 12 hour intense physical labour jobs for most men (with a tiny paycheck of course) angered the population. So, in 1915, the emperor was overthrown. This marked a 77 year period of time when the country was a communist dictatorship. Communism, although helping the poor, driving the country away from basically feudalism and industrialising the nation, was a horrible thing to happen to the nation. Millions of people fled, died in famines, were executed by the secret police and died of disease. But, a glimmer of hope was in the Satarian people's eyes as the April revolution happened in 1992. This overthrew the communists and established a market-liberal state. But this came with a cost. The police was brutal towards the citizens, the nation's economy spiraled even more downwards, the government was corrupt and stole from the population. So, in 2014, people took to the streets to peacefully protest. The first wave of protestors was gunned down by the police, a very illegal action. This resulted in citizens storming the Mirogoj palace, where the government was seated. Documents were destroyed, government members were beatem and killed, and the president at the time, Jovan Sotarin, was beaten and shot 31 times, resulting in his death. The armed forces deserted, which allowed the protestors to storm the palace in the first place. The Federation was then established. Since then, the economy grew by a huge amount, the standard of living increased and so did the people's paychecks. Now the Satarians are looking onwards to what seems a bright future.

Map claim (Imgur link preferred): Please draw ragged, realistic borders. Coastlines are rarely ever perfectly straight or curved lines.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
What role do you envision yourself playing in international relations?: I don't see Sataria being of much relevance on a global scale, but in the neighbourhood, it might be influencal in politics, diplomacy, trade and alliances.

Critically discuss the strengths of your nation (esp. military & economic) and how they may affect existing regional power structures: Sataria's economy is of a reasonable strength, although it's still recovering from the poor, corrupt days before the 2014 revolution. The armed forces have a budget of 2 billion USD, and is of an average strength, with 570,000 fully-enrolled soldiers, 1,200,000 in reserves and 70,000 in special forces. The navy is mostly made up of light destroyers, with some heavier battleships. The airforce is consisted of 70 Jet fighters, 120 helicopter gunships and 230 other attack/service aircraft.

If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: Probably decrease the amount of reserves.

OOC STUFF
How did you hear about Esquarium?: I heard about it from a friend.
Other NS accounts: Never had any in the past.

Roleplay sample: This is a couple of paragraphs about the 2014 revolution.

The crowd is gathering in King Jećanin square, with more and more people flocking in from trams, busses and cars. They are all in immense anger and disappointment, by the looks of their faces. The 22nd July massacre was still fresh in their minds. The Policemen gunning down the peaceful protestors , the blood, agony in the streets of the city. The baricades have been set up, with graffiti saying "Begone, sotarin". The national guard have been called in, dark silhouettes in the cobblestone streets. The crowd, in full rage, began to throw molotov cocktails and rocks at the national guards, with little to no effect on them. It was only when some of the protestors pulled out assault rifles is when they knew the real fight had started. They opened fire on the national guards, penetrating their acrylic shields, killing a lot of them. As they retreated, they called the army in for reinforcements. No one picked up the phone. They knew they have been deserted. The crowd closed in on the palace, sorrounding it. With no escape, the government officials were trapped. The national guard had their last stand at the gates of the palace, where they were completely massacred by the storm of bullets. The giant doors of the palace have been broken down, and the raging crowd trampled inside. Government officials ran for their lives from the crowd, gettig shot and hit by rocks as they did so. The president was shot in the back many times by the gunmen of the crowd in a desparate attempt to escape. His bleeding body was beaten until he let out his last breath. The day turned to night, and the documents from the corrupt government were ignited. As the crowd left, the palace in the background went up in flames. The smoke stacks filled up the mirogoj skyline. "The city of peace" as the citizens called it was the opposite that night.

BASIC INFORMATION
This is a request for: [X] Territorial expansion | [ ] Population expansion | [ ] GDP expansion | [ ] Nuclear weapons
Describe the requested increase in detail: Request to move Alemannia to the below location so that it can border Andria and J&L
New map claim (image URL, skip if N/A): Here

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Why is this stat increase necessary? Like all relocation requests, it's not really necessary, rather it's more of a "quality of life" improvement.
What impact will this increase have on your IC nation's strength? Due to Andrian's National Folkist regime, Alemannia will result in being more centralised and militarised than previously indicated on its application.
How will this stat increase contribute to your roleplaying and worldbuilding? It should allow me to actually worldbuild now since the player behind Andria is on discord daily and much more responsive to PMs and other inquiries than Alemannia's current neighbours.

CRITICAL DISCUSSION
List at least two other ways that the desired IC benefit can be achieved: 1.) Alemannia could stay where it is and I could continue to wait for months for responses to PMs. 2.) I can't really think of a second solution.
Critically discuss how will this stat increase may affect other nations or regional geopolitics: This move will more than like alter northern Nordania geopolitics since fascist and socialist polities would be directly bordering each other. Since Calt and I plan on incorporating much of the ideas Sjal and himself made before Sjal left into our collective modern history, conflict between Alemannia and Andria would have continent-wide repercussions as Alemannia would not be able to defend itself alone and would require allies. This would contrast the current isolationism and instead force the Alemannian government to work with non-socialist countries on the continent.
How have you contributed towards furthering the roleplaying and worldbuilding community of the region during your presence so far? I've contributed my snark and negative attitude to every half-baked idea the region has come up with. I've helped try to come up with alternative monotheistic religions for Nordania to varying degrees of success and, while currently inactive, helped create a somewhat viable leftist bloc that didn't fall to political infighting.

I acknowledge that any acceptance is conditional on the increase having productive roleplaying utility to the region as a whole, and that it may be rescinded at any time if it becomes derelict or conducive towards powergaming.

BASIC DETAILS
IC name: Confederation of Republics of Qëftëlës
Population: 32,477,112(I can lower it if it looks big)
Language(s): Albanian, Serbian, Bulgarian, Slavomacedonian, Turkish, Greek
Main culture/ethnic group: 30% Albanian, 25% Serb, 20% Bulgarian, 10% Slavomacedons, 5% Turkish, 5% Greek
GDP per capita (USD): 38,626$
Capital: St. Basil(Although regional capitals are recognised as capitals too, so cities like Adirana, in Qëftëlës, Daraj in Petronija, Audviv in Audviv, Petrobul in Adalkişar as well as Ayios Eleutherios, in Pefkohoro.)
Government type: Multi-party directional federal republic
Nation description (at least a paragraph, please): Qëftëlës is located in the northwest of the continent of Borea and it is a Confederation of Republics. The Republics include the Qëftëlës, which is the Albanian majority area, Ustija, the Serb majority area, Audviv, the Bulgarian majority area, the Petronija, the Slavomacedonian majority area, the Adalkişar, the Turkish majority area and Pefkohoro, the Greek majority area. These regions meet up to discuss internal matters at St. Basil, the chosen capital in Ustija, since it's located at a really important spot close to the rest of the Borean nations in order for trade and commerce to succeed, but in a safe enough spot to never have been conquered, by anyone, in any war, the city's power made it the perfect capital for the confederation. The confederation has a population of 32,477,112 and it is about to increase to about 40 million people by the year 2035, due to the country's increasing quality of infrastracture, increasingly better quality of life and the country's absence from war since the Kurna crisis of 1988, in Petronija.
Map claim (High-quality Imgur link of your claim):
Image

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
What role do you envision yourself playing in international relations?: The diplomatic one, as well as the merchant, Qëftëlës doesn't directly take part in wars but sells its weapons to either side, while also trying to establish peace which may seem contradicting at first.
Critically discuss the strengths of your nation (esp. military & economic) and how they may affect existing regional power structures: Qëftëlës does have some modern weapons which only uses internally and does not sell abroad, while in the meanwhile selling its old weapons used in the Kurna crisis to nations currently at war. Economically Qëftëlës is pretty stable, having an advancing information and technology industry as well as thriving in the sports and movies department, however trade should be the country's stronger point, since the general populace is accepting of trade with almost everybody in the region. E-sports is also a very advancing industry in the nation.
If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: By cutting trade with some major powers.

OOC STUFF
How did you hear about Esquarium?: I like looking about realistic roleplaying regions and Esquarium seemed great.
Other NS accounts: I have a lot, but Juvencus should be your guiding light.
Roleplay sample: You should check Juvencus' posts since many of them are roleplays, but they are mostly sports reports.

Anything else to add (optional): Trade with me please.

BASIC INFORMATION
This is a request for:
[X] Territorial change| [ ] Population expansion | [ ] GDP expansion | [ ] Nuclear weapons
Describe the requested change in detail:
Moving Sardia from its present location in Northwest Nautasia to the Southeast.
New map claim (image URL, skip if N/A):
https://i.imgur.com/4Qvj2cG.png

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Why is this change necessary?
This change is in response the player decline of Western Nautasia and a lack of new applicants interested in Western Nautasia. While it is not necessary, it is a quality of life change for yours truly.
What impact will this change have on your IC nation's strength?
With more powerful and numerous neighbors, I believe Sardia' extraterritorial defense forces will be substantially reduced and redirected to internal security and the management of the many border regions.
How will this change contribute to your roleplaying and worldbuilding?
This will give me the opportunity to developed a rich historical canon integrated with my neighbors.

CRITICAL DISCUSSION
List at least two other ways that the desired IC benefit can be achieved:
This could be achieved by attracting new members to my present location or subdividing Sardia in a federation to simulate the feeling of having more than one nation.
Critically discuss how will this change may affect other nations or regional geopolitics:
There is a void in the heart of Nautasia while will now be filled by Sardian wilderness. I plan to fully recognize the limitations of the Sardian central government in its ability to control the internal frontier and welcome the involvement of other players in propping up warlords, trafficking illegal materials, and even conquering territory. In this location, Sardia would definitely be a force for unpredictable change.

I am also willing to change the northern border to suit the needs of new applicant claims as they arrive.
How have you contributed towards furthering the roleplaying and worldbuilding community of the region during your presence so far?
During my tenure I have participated in the historical construction of the KhoGudecese Empire and in the trade empire established by the Yr'āgezazi (now defunct). Unfortunately, KhoGudecese and Yr'āgezazi history both ended up being unsustainable. I hope be more successful in this new location.

I acknowledge that any acceptance is conditional on the increase having productive roleplaying utility to the region as a whole, and that it may be rescinded at any time if it becomes derelict or conducive towards powergaming.

IC name: Chokashia

Main culture/ethnic group: Chokash (some people consider Goral, Verkhovian and Lemko to be sub-ethnic groups of the Chokash and their languages as dialects of Chokash)
GDP per capita (USD):
Capital: Vorsha
Government type: Unitary, semi-presidental, constitutinal repubic
Nation description (at least a paragraph, please): Chokashia is an old Slavic country riddled with internal conflicts throughout its history. From the middle ages kingdoms and duchies fought over power, some to dominate all of the Chokash people some to retain their independece. The Chokash as a people are a large ethnic group but in time a few others started to separate. Officially it is considered that Goral, Verkhovian and Lemko langages are dialects of the official Chokash language therefore the nationalities of these peoples is in question by some. Still, there is quite a percentage of people which consider themselves not to be Chokash but rather one of these three. The fourh and the smalles ethnic group called Ichkers. Ichkers talk in a completely different langage which belong to a different language group, their langage has no connection with the Chokash ones. One thing that also divides the Chokash land is religion. The largest religion in the country is the Chokash traditional religion yet there are splits between the Chokash Orthodox Community, Temple of Svevid, Faith of Perun, Temple of Sviatolik. Most of the Ichker community is following their own traiditional religion, while a minority of them follows Sviatism.
In the last few years Chokashia underwent a turbulent change. After a long period of economic stagnation a revolution brought down the monarchy and thus the First Chokash Repulic was proclaimed. The country is headed by Pyotr Zelinskiy, the leader of the revolution and officer of the army and a member of the Social-Democratic party. While he is influential in the country he still couldn't make a stable government. Most countries consider Chokashia a rupt state as it is plagued by terrorism, religious extremism and separatist revolts. The people of Lemko, Goral and Verkhovnitsy demand independence as well as Ichkers, and in every single of their regions the separatist parties rule without any doubt. Yet, two new political forces appeared: The Syndicalist Union of Workers and Peasants of Chokashia and The National Workers Alliance of Chokash Solidarists; with one being far-left and the other being far-right. Some say this is the golden age of Chokash democracy but with constant brawls between leftists and nationalists, riots, terrorists attacks, how can one hope for a bright future?

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
What role do you envision yourself playing in international relations?: I expect that countries take interest in the ongoing divisions and conflicts that are happening in Chokashia, religious and ethnic violence could be spilt over. A civil war looks iminent.
Critically discuss the strengths of your nation (esp. military & economic) and how they may affect existing regional power structures: The country is facing bancrupcy, it is dominated by selfish oligarchs. The military itself in in tatters, it is divided by ideology, ethnicity and religion. Some of the soldiers and generals are openly separatist yet nobody says anithing about it.
If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: Make the pop a bit smaller?

It is February 23. 2014. A day we have all waited for. It has long passed since we had only dreams now we have hope. Symbols of the monarchy all on the floor, on the streets, people are walking over them, celebrating. We have won! I never hoped this day would come, but it did. The ruthless regime that has plagued my people has fallen and now we can have our freedom. Democracy yes? We can choose for ourselves now, we had the King who did all of that on his own and those decisions led us to poverty, sectarianism, conflict. As I see thousands of my lands flags in the streets I know that there is still hope for this land, everyone is one today, united, no more divisions, no more sectarianism, no more ethnic conflicts. As I walk past a burned car I see a little gir with her mother and father, she has a scarf of our flag. Yes, it is for our youth that we fought for, for their future, not ours.

It is February 23. 2017. I am hiding in a cellar with a few other people. We were being chased by those violent maniacs, the nationalists. Our group clashed with a nationalist one, but they were armed with chains and batons and soon the dispersed us. We can't allow for this to go on further. First the reds, now this totalitarian scum. Is this what I have fought? Yesterday I've heard that there was a terror attack in the north, separatists claimed reponsibility, ten were killed in the attack. Reports are coming from Ichkeria that they are going to proclaim independence, there was a pogrom of a small Lemko community in the south, by the nationalists. This is all so wrong, why does this need to happen? Is there a future for this country? A country in which I can get robbed in the street by some lowlife or shot and beaten up for not being on the "right side" by either reds or nationalists? I hear noise and explosions on the street, I hope that is riot police. I hope this is all just a nightmare

by Ordennya
BASIC DETAILS
IC name: The Federation of Ordennya
Population: 66,500,000
Language(s): Anglish
Main culture/ethnic group: White Ordennyan
GDP per capita (USD): $55,000
Capital: Chronohaben
Government type: Federal parliamentary representative democracy
Nation description (at least a paragraph, please): Ordennya began life as a Kingdom in the late 10th century, ruled for 900 years by the House of Harling. It benefited from it's position as a coastal nation and developed a bustling economy based on fishing, and it's lush land allowed it to develop its agricultural sector. It was ruled as an absolute monarchy from the moment of its formation in 981, when the various provincial leaders decided to merge into one Kingdom, until the Grand Revolution of 1157 resulted in King Edward IV seceding some of his powers to his council of advisors, which eventually became an elected Parliament in 1329. Franchise was limited the landowning elite, however, until the Ordennyan Civil War of 1657-1669 resulted in the franchise being extended to all men who owned at least 2 acres of land. This remained the status quo until 1827, when the franchise was extended all working men and the 650 seats in the House of Commons distributed more evenly. From the late 18th century and well into the mid 19th century, the country experienced its industrial revolution, with the capital city of Chronohaben, a bustling fishing port, became the country's main industrial hub. Other cities, like Oured, Edgeton, and Sawchester saw themselves become industrial hubs as well. During this time, the majority of the population moved from the coastal towns and rural villages to the big cities, leading to the country developing its now vast rail network.
After the 1835 General Election, in which the Conservatives, led by Albert Baldwin, ended their five year spat in Opposition in defeating the Liberal Government of John Kirkmichael, the Government began to make moves to consolidate more power in the hands of the King, Stephen XI, who found himself dissatisfied with a number of the reforms enacted by the Liberal government. The Liberals were powerless to stop the actions of the government due to the size of the majority held by the Conservatives, who held 453 of the 650 seats in the House of Commons. This allowed the new centre-left Radical Party, made up of left wing Independents and dissident Liberals led by by the MP for Salford, Frederick Sanders, to accuse the Liberals of being complacent in opposing the Government in the House of Lords, where the Liberals had a majority over the Conservatives. A snap election in 1837 saw the Conservatives reduced to a minority government, winning only 325 seats, while the Liberals were relegated to third place, with only 16 seats. The Radicals overtook the Liberals, increasing their seat number from 20 to 290, winning seats from both the Liberals and the Conservatives.
The Radicals in opposition were able to defeat a number of bills introduced by the Conservative government, which culminated in a loss in a No Confidence Motion for the Government, leading to another election in which the Radicals emerged as the winning Party, winning 378 out of 650 seats.
The King, wary of Sanders, allowed him to form a government, and held his tongue over the reforms enacted by the Radicals which circumvented what remained of his power. The Radicals were re-elected in 1845, and in 1850 the King decided enough was enough, sacked Sanders as Prime Minister and dissolved Parliament, leading to the mass repression of civil liberties under the direct rule of the King. Sanders found himself thrust into the role of a revolutionary leader, and successfully lead an civil uprising in which supporters of the Radical and Liberal Parties, aided by workers, took control of the major cities, leading to the King's abdication and Sanders being sworn in as President of Ordennya. A referendum on a new Constitution was quickly held, with all Ordennyan citizens over the age of 18 being allowed to vote, which passed 95% to 5% on a turnout of 83.5%. The new Constitution cemented Ordennya's new status as a Federal Republic, which remains the status quo.
Map claim (High-quality Imgur link of your claim): https://imgur.com/a/MHzLR - in red

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
What role do you envision yourself playing in international relations?: Ordennya is currently governed by a coalition of the centre-left Coalition of Socialists % Democrats and the more left wing Green Party, both of which are pacifist and non-interventionist. As such, they would not take sides in regional conflicts between nations, which could enable Ordennya to act as a mediator in negotiating peace and ceasefire settlements.
Ordennya is, however, undergoing a period of political instability. Following the death of her wife, the President, Allegra Howard, has resigned as leader of her Party, the CSD, and the two candidates for her position represent the two different wings of the Party, the left wing Socialist caucus and the centrist Third Way caucus. With the winner of the leadership race likely to be inaugurated as President, internal Party strife may plunge the country into political crisis.
Critically discuss the strengths of your nation (esp. military & economic) and how they may affect existing regional power structures: Under the current government, Ordennya has undertaken a programme of disarmament. It's military forces have been radically reduced and now comprise a small, territorial defence force.
Economically, Ordennya is relatively strong due to the standard of living and level of equality enjoyed by Ordennyan citizens, and the diversity of the economy, in which all citizens have a share in contributing to and reaping the benefits thereof. Its agricultural sector means it has a strong market for crops and meat, aided by the strength of its fishing sector. Its strong industrial sector means the nation maintains a high level of technological prowess. However, as a result of the last Conservative's government's economic policies restricting the creation of Co-operatives, which for a long time formed the main basis of the economy, private industry has led to the creation of monopolies in various sectors of the economy, which has led to a level of stagnation of competition, with as few as three or even two large companies dominating various sectors of the economy. While the President is not directly elected, and is instead the leader of the largest Party in the House of Commons, both Houses of Parliament at the Federal Level, the Commons and the Senate, are both directly elected by proportional representation, with the Commons elected by Mixed Member Proportional, with 325 MPs elected from single-member constituencies and the other 325 from state lists, and the Senate elected by means of Single Transferable Vote, with 450 members elected from 90 districts, each electing 5 Senators each. At the State Level, all 12 states (which includes the cities of Chronohaben and Oured) have a directly elected legislature.
If asked to reduce the strength of your nation, how would you do so?: Reduce the population, the size of the country's fishing sector, which forms about 15% of the economy, the size of its services sector, which forms about 40% of the economy, and the size of its industrial sector, which comprises 20% of the economy.

OOC STUFF
How did you hear about Esquarium?: IIWiki
Other NS accounts: N/A
Roleplay sample: Ken looked down at the notes for his speech and took a deep breath. Why was he nervous about a small campaign rally? He'd spoken before thousands before, during the 2015 election. He'd delivered speeches in the House of Commons restructuring the Ordennyan economy in ways not seen since the days of Fred Sanders, speeches that actually affected people's lives. To the young Chancellor of the Exchequer, this small campaign rally should have been an easy ride.
But this event carried more weight than he was letting on. This was Ken's moment. His moment to take centre stage and put forward his program for Ordennya.
He took one final look at his notes as he stepped on the stage, just after his campaign manager and fellow MP, Jim Edwards.
Ken walked across the stage towards the podium as his supporters shouted his name. He waved at them as he walked, doing his signature two-fingered "peace" sign that he'd become notable for. He stepped behind the lectern and raised his fist in the air triumphantly.
"Hello Wolverfield! God, I have missed my home town." He said into the microphone, placing his notes on the lectern. "I want to start my speech by thanking President Allegra Howard for her time in office, both as President and as Leader of the Coalition of Socialists & Democrats. She has done more for our country than any President since our Federal Republic was founded. Under her Presidency, we have become a fairer, more peaceful, more green nation. A nation for the many, not the few. As she retires, we give her our condolences on the sad death of her wife, Aisling, and our thanks for her time as President." He took a sip of water.
"But let us now look to the future. What does our country need? Our country needs to build on the policies that we have implemented in the last three years. We need to look forward, to a fairer, more open, progressive future, rather than moving back to the neo-liberal agenda that harmed our country for 36 years. And I believe I am the man to do it." He gave a half smile to his audience. "What more is there to say? My name is Ken Turing, and I am running for the leadership of the Coalition of Socialists & Democrats!"
