Is alcohol legal in your country? YES!

If so, what is the regulation? ALL THE TIME, EVERYWHERE! *EVIL LAUGH*

How is drunk driving regulated in your country? What is the amount of alcohol in a person's system to be classified as above the legal limit of alcohol while driving? Alcohol is prohibited while driving, and it is very regulated, because why would money be so mindlessly wasted over damaged properties and human resources, while it can be spent on the more important things in life, such as a second mansion? EVEN A DRIP OF ALCOHOL SHALL SEND THOU TO THE MINES!
Based on the forgotten show "Evil Con Carne", in NS roleplaying form.

Is alcohol legal in your country? Yes

If so, how is alcohol in your nation regulated? In Columbia alcohol regulation is left up to the states, territories and municipalities. Fenton Island's municipal government restricts the sale of alcohol to over 16's, as well as minimum standards for quality and labeling regulations. The requirement for vendors to have a license to sell alcohol has been recently abolished. Enforcement of these regulations is quite lax and alcohol plays a huge part in the social life of Fentoners.

How is drunk driving regulated in your country? What is the amount of alcohol in a person's system to be classified as above the legal limit of alcohol while driving? It's illegal to have more than 80mg of alcohol in 100cc of blood while driving.

How much time does a drunkard get sentenced if caught drunk driving? Punishments can include a fine of up to £1,000 and suspension of the driver's license for up to 18 months. Prison time is uncommon except where accidents while over the limit cause serious injury or loss of life.

If so, how is alcohol in your nation regulated? Both the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Economic Regulation handle tasks with setting alcohol-related laws for their involvement in the marketplace and general public's consumption. Each city may have various regulations put in place on how much can be bought and sold by private companies, how licenses are obtained for legal distribution, and when to revoke such privileges.

How is drunk driving regulated in your country? What is the amount of alcohol in a person's system to be classified as above the legal limit of alcohol while driving? Usually, the local police departments have reserved special agencies and units that deal with alcohol in connection to motor vehicle operations. The national legal limit for driving while having drunk alcoholic beverages is (BAC) .09%. Any grade scored above qualifies as a DUI infraction.

How much time does a drunkard get sentenced if caught drunk driving? It depends. Currently, police use two basic levels of DUI impairment which determine "mild" to "serious" offensiveness. Some varations aside from this do exist, but this is the general preferred standard.
— (BAC) 0.09%-0.13% = "Mild"
[Punishments: Arrest; Heavy Fines; Community Service; Temporary License Suspension]
— (BAC) 0.14%-0.25%+ = "Serious"
[Punishments: Arrest; Heavy Fines; Community Service; Extended License Suspension; Hard Labor]

Is alcohol legal in your country?

Yes, alcohol is legal; those over the age of 22 may purchase alcohol at both bottle shops and pubs/bars, whilst consumption on personal property is legal for anyone, provided those who are under 18 have adult supervision. Those between 18 and 22 may purchase and consume a limited amount of alcohol at pubs, bars, and other licenced venues.

If so, how is alcohol in your nation regulated? All purchases of alcohol require the presentation of a state ID to verify the purchaser is over the age of 22. Bars, pubs, and other venues are legally required to adhere to a maximum amount of alcohol allowed to be sold to one patron when said alcohol is being consumed on the presmesis. Most bars and pubs also close at midnight.

How is drunk driving regulated in your country? What is the amount of alcohol in a person's system to be classified as above the legal limit of alcohol while driving? There are few enough private drivers that drink driving is a very rare phenomena. Public intoxication is more common, as those out late drinking either walk home from their local pub or take public transportation.

How much time does a drunkard get sentenced if caught drunk driving? There is typically no jail time; rather, a fine, community service, suspension of driving licence, and rehabilitation courses may be applied as sanctions.

Historically, alcohol was one of the most-commonly drunk beverages in the Niger Civilization, owing to its sterility and safety from illnesses. Its usage varied from quenching thirst to acting as a cleaning agent, especially for wounds. The most common form of alcohol drunk was an extremely watered down wine in order to prevent alcohol intoxication. Finer alcohols with higher alcoholic content were used solely for celebration. Prohibitionism in the Ivory Coasts traces its roots in the middle of the 1st millennium AD, when Islam first spread to the Ivory Coasts and triggered a cultural blooming. Islam considers alcohol as harām, and forbids its followers from drinking it. Muslim dynasties established in the Ivory Coasts subsequently banned all alcohol in the country. Although, under the Nubians, Islam receded in its share of the population, prohibitionism continues on, and alcohol remains illegal in the Ivory Coasts.

Alcohol is currently classified alongside drugs such as marijuana and heroine as "illegal intoxicants." Possession of one litre of alcohol can result in a $300 fine. Intoxication is heavier punished; intoxication in private results in a $1000 fine, while intoxication in public areas results in six months in prison. Public and political opinion on alcohol is low, although it is almost always for tourists visiting foreign countries to drink alcohol. There are no public rehabilitation services for alcohol drinkers.

Is alcohol legal in your country? Yes.
From a historical standpoint, alcohol has been very commonly drunk in Escalia. Anyone over the age of 19 may purchase from shops and pubs, and those under that age may consume a certain amount of alcohol only if they have supervision. Alcohol at meals, watered down, is also acceptable for the above.
If so, how is alcohol in your nation regulated?
An ID as proof of age is required to purchase, to show the purchaser is of the legal age. There is also a limit to the alcohol one person is allowed to imbibe at an establishement that sells it.
How is drunk driving regulated in your country? What is the amount of alcohol in a person's system to be classified as above the legal limit of alcohol while driving?
A driver cannot have 40mg per liter of blood while they are driving.
How much time does a drunkard get sentenced if caught drunk driving?
Fines, community service, suspension of license, and other options that do not require jail time are the most frequent sentences. They only receive jail time if serious property damage results, or someone else is hurt or killed due to their actions.

alky falls under the same rubric as any other recreationally consumed mind altering substance.
i.e. no restrictions on possession or consumption but may by local consensus be locally restricted
from being bought, sold, mass produced, or imported with intent to sell.

bans on possession or creation of any article or substance for personal use are against our constitution.

culturally, the recriational consumption of mind altering substances is not widely popular,
but tolerated as a personal peculiarity as long as indignities or harm to persons or property are not committed.

the driving of a personal motor vehicle is not a dominant or even common form of transportation.
it is generally only common in extremely remote areas of extremely low population density.
where a person's behavior is between themselves and the realities of nature.
such personal transport is generally a secondary use of machines employed primarily in agriculture, timbering, mineral extraction and the like,
this tend to be generally self guiding robotic devices, which may be programed psionically by their riders, but not directly controlled by them.

if one causes harm by inconsiderate operation of a motor vehicle, the same penalties apply were the same harm to have been caused by any other means.
likewise if the consumption of mind altering substances is involved.

How is alcohol in your nation regulated? It is regulated by the Dexter Food and Beverage Bureau

How is drunk driving regulated in your country? What is the amount of alcohol in a person's system to be classified as above the legal limit of alcohol while driving? Drunk driving is enforced on the road by a system of welfare/social workers; it is also enforced at the bar, restaurant, grocery store or any other place where alcohol is sold by workers who are trained to identify alcohol abuse and possible drunk drivers or drunk driving scenarios. Individuals are considered to be legally drunk driving at 0.05 BAC, however, the attending Dexter Wellbeing Bureau workers can bring a drunk driver into the local community center for a night's stay even
if a driver's BAC is lower.

How much time does a drunkard get sentenced if caught drunk driving? For the first two offenses, the individual is ordered to attend mandatory Alcohol Anonymous meetings as well as individual clinical therapy, during which time their licenses are suspended until they collect their one year chip. If they drink alcohol at any point during this one year period, they must turn in all accumulated chips and start over, but it will not count as a re-offense unless they operate a motor vehicle. If they offend a third time, their license will be permanently revoked. At no point during this process will the individual ever accumulate a criminal record, unless they cause serious bodily harm or worse to at least one living thing.

It's illegal and the punishment is 80 lashes:

"Yahya related to me from Maalik from Thawr ibn Zayd ad-Dili that Umar ibn al-Khattab asked advice about a man drinking wine. Ali ibn Abi Talib said to him, "We think that you flog him for it with eighty lashes. Because when he drinks, he becomes intoxicated, and when he becomes intoxicated, he talks confusedly, and when he talks confusedly, he lies." (80 lashes is the same amount as for slandering) Umar gave eighty lashes for drinking wine." (Muwatto of Maalik)

Alcohol in Destyntine is completely legal to posses, make, and travel with. There are few places where you can't bring alcohol, it's even a common thing to have mass storages of alcohol onboard starships. Alcohol tax rates vary depending on the district, with the Capital district of Tyståska being the most highly taxed at 6% and the cheapest district of Ødemarken having a 3% alcohol tax to buy.

If so, how is alcohol in your nation regulated?
Alcohol is restricted to purchase to those under the age of 16. Alcohol with a content above 15% is restricted from purchase until the age of 18. Anyone 16-17 may drink alcohol above 15% but must do so with consent from a caretaker. It is disorderly to be drunk within heavily populated areas excluding bars, clubs, sporting events, concerts, and parties. If caught drunk and wondering on the streets without the intent of returning home, the individual will be detained and brought to a facility until they sober up, and then released.

How is drunk driving regulated in your country? What is the amount of alcohol in a person's system to be classified as above the legal limit of alcohol while driving?
Thankfully, in major cities wheeled vehicles are banned from entering, hovercars and public transportation are reliable options for those who have had too much to drink at events. If someone who is drunk has access to a personal hovercar, they may enable autopilot mode to safely guide them to their destination without the need of doing anything other than pressing a button. If someone is caught flying a hovercar while drunk without autopilot activated they will face prohibitive charges. Those without vehicles can reliably use safe and free public transport to return home after having too much to drink. They may also ask for the DOCS for support guiding them home, the police are willing to assist drinkers to safely maneuver if they are having trouble walking or coordinating where to go. A .08 BAC level is the maximum one may have while flying without autopilot.

In the country however, wheeled vehicles are common and it is illegal to drive with an alcohol content above .08 in a wheeled vehicle as well. If someone is unable to return home safely after drinking at an event, they can phone the non-emergency DOCS number and have them and their vehicle returned to their home safely and free of charge.

How much time does a drunkard get sentenced if caught drunk driving?
A flying or driving drunkard may face a mandatory 2 year probation that completely restricts the intake of any alcohol along with a month long required session in an addiction program depending on this person's history with alcohol abuse.

If illegal, what is the punishment for alcohol consumption? If you drink responsibly, even if caught, you’ll be fine and even be praised by law enforcement. There is no crime for drinking alcohol responsibly. However, should you be found drunk driving or doing dangerous activities involving alcoholism, you’d find yourself in prison for about 2 years, and if a lot of people are affected, injured, or killed in a major scene which involved the drunkenness will lead the person who caused the incident (and also drunk) to death.

If execution is prescribed, what method is used to execute someone guilty for consuming alcohol? On paper, alcoholism will result in death by hanging. In practice, people who get executed for alcoholism are me with lethal injection. Hanging is usually left to blasphemers and violations of religious law in Crossoveria.

If prison time is prescribed, what is the penalty from minimum maximum? About 10 years.

Does your nation offer rehabilitation for alcohol drinkers? Yes, should they cause minor incidents involving alcohol.

If so, how is alcohol in your nation regulated? In our nation, alcohol is a Class B drug, meaning that it is limited to citizens age 16 and older (unless prescribed by a doctor-- however, alcohol is rarely prescribed by doctors the way many other Class B drugs are). Vendors must have licenses to dispense Class B drugs,

How is drunk driving regulated in your country? What is the amount of alcohol in a person's system to be classified as above the legal limit of alcohol while driving? Blood-alcohol limits are not used in our country, except as a general guideline for police. They are inadmissible in court. Rather, a person is charged with diving while intoxicated if they are visibly intoxicated and fail a field sobriety test for a reason they can't otherwise explain (such as an injury or illness).

DWI is a Class D offense (misdemeanor), carrying a sentence of up to 1 year, but usually resulting in community service and mandatory therapy, as well as a license suspension. DWI resulting in Injury is a Class C offense, carrying a maximum sentence of up to 3 years-- community service is still an option, but not always given. DWI resulting in Death is a Class B offense, carrying a maximum sentence of 8 years-- community service is very rare for a Class B offense.

Is alcohol legal in your country? Yes

If so, how is alcohol in your nation regulated? Anyone 16 and older can purchase light alcohol and go to bars, but can only purchase drinks with an alcohol concentration of 15% or less. At bars they may have alcohol containing stronger liquors as long as it's watered down to be 15% or less. Anyone 18 or older can buy and drink any type of alcohol, but they can only buy one drink at a time at bars, and it is not legal for someone to be drunk until 21. Once someone turns 21 they can buy as many drinks as they like at bars. Public intoxication is legal as long as the person is 21 and older and is not driving or operating machinery.

How id drunk driving regulated in your country? What is the amount of alcohol in a person's system to be classified as above the legal limit of alcohol while driving? New drivers can't have any alcohol in their system while driving. More experienced drivers can have a BAC up to 0.08. To prevent drunk driving bars often come with hotels for guests to sleep in and charcoal pills to ease hangovers.

How much time does a drunkard get sentenced if caught drunk driving? My nation does not have prisons so if it is a first offense they will have their license revoked and a fine which scales to fit their income. If someone is a repeating offender they may have stronger fines, and if drunk driving causes a crash that results in serious injury or loss of life they will be sentenced to death, often through gladiator or Hunger Games matches.

Alcohol Legality

Postby Geuleiteu Aillaendeu » Tue Aug 10, 2021 3:50 pm

If so, how is alcohol in your nation regulated? Alcohol, being a major cultural sense of pride in Geuleiteu Aillaendeu, is 100% legal past a few age restrictions and mental health restrictions. Under the Minstry of Health, "no persons under 16 can purchase alcohol for consumption" although this only applies to purchasing. The Minstry of Health has no stance on drinking although 13 is generally considered the age for drinking (with parental supervison) and 16 without it. The Ministry makes it clear though that mentally depressed or insane people can't not be sold alcohol and a bartender faces a revoking of their liscense and a possible fine of up to 25,000USD of they sell alcohol to mentally ill individuals.

How is drunk driving regulated in your country? What is the amount of alcohol in a person's system to be classified as above the legal limit of alcohol while driving? Drunk Driving is strictly illegal with anything over .03 and under .08 equally a 1000USD fine and a suspended liscense for 2 months. Above .08 is a criminal offense and usually results in permenant liscense suspension and forced rehabilition.

How much time does a drunkard get sentenced if caught drunk driving? Unless injury, death, or damage to property is caused, jailtime is rare unless a repeat offense. In case of injury you are liabable to pay their medicial bills and face up to 15 years in prison depending on the injury. If a person is killed you can face up to life sentence and damaged property is charged as vandalism and you are required to pay for the damages and serve up to 5 years in jail.

If legal, how is alcohol in your nation regulated?
There are minimum safety and purity standards applied to all food and drink in the DRG. While only persons over the age of 18 may legally purchase or consume alcohol, it is not unusual for children and teens to have a tiny bit of wine at dinner with their parents, or a moderate amount of beer at special events and festivals. While vendors will not sell to underage persons, people turn a blind eye to parents and family giving some alcohol to other family members.

How is drunk driving regulated in your country? What is the amount of alcohol in a person's system to be classified as above the legal limit of alcohol while driving?
The alcohol limit is 0.08. Drunk driving is a serious offense, with a first time offenses at the limit involving an evening in the drunk tank. Higher levels involving impounding a vehicle and requiring offenders to attend special classes and have an breathalyzer installed in their cars for 6 months. A second time offense or an accident caused by alcohol or drug consumption is enough to send you to prison and blacklist you from car ownership for a number of years, depending on the severity of the offense.

How much time does a drunkard get sentenced if caught drunk driving?
If it's a first time event at the limit, an evening in the "drunk tank" at the local jail. Punishments for second time offenses or accidents range from a few months to a few years in prison and potential manslaughter charges (up to 15 years in prison) if it comes to that.

Doesn't represent my views. Mostly me asking... what if East Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia, etc had not gone down the neo-con crash capitalist route, and instituted people-oriented reforms instead?

If so, how is alcohol in your nation regulated? Alcohol is legal to drink at all ages, however, it is illegal to purchase for those under 16, who can only consume it under the supervision of a legal guardian. Alcohol consumption is an important aspect of Somiéinois-et-Haverasien culture, and it is not uncommon for those as young as 12 or 13 to enjoy a glass of wine or sake at the dinner table. Alcohol can obtained through government distribution centers, or purchased from independent co-op stores or directly from the Alcohol Producer's Union (French: Syndicat des producteurs d'alcool, Japanese: アルコール生産者組合, Arukōru seisan-sha kumiai, SPA) or co-operative vineyards. Alcohol, especially wine and sake, are typically available at all restaurants, and public consumption of alcohol is both legal and common.

How is drunk driving regulated in your country? What is the amount of alcohol in a person's system to be classified as above the legal limit of alcohol while driving? Drinking while driving is legal, however, it is a criminal offense to drive with more than 0.5 grams of alcohol per liter of blood in your system. Police have the right to pull over and test anyone on the roads who are driving in an erratic manner. However, most Somiénois-et-Haverasiens do not own cars, instead relying on public transportation, so drunk driving is not a serious concern for authorities.

How much time does a drunkard get sentenced if caught drunk driving? Those caught with a blood alcohol content higher than the legal limit are subject to a fine, community service, rehabilitation, revocation of driver's license, and up to 5 years time in prison depending on the severity of the circumstances and taking into account prior convictions. Generally, offenders will not see prison time until their 2nd or 3rd offense, after which the offender's driver's license is permanently revoked. Typically, first time offenders are required to pay a fine, complete community service, and attend court-mandated rehabilitation, and will have their driver's licenses temporarily revoked.

Nothing is permitted that has been proven to routinely maim or kill a person. The Alcohol subdivision of the Committee of Science collaborates with the Committee of Public Safety to determine these laws and enforce them.

If you cannot walk a straight line or comprehend what is going on around you, an officer must take some of your blood for testing. (Assume general American laws on this.)

How much time does a drunkard get sentenced if caught drunk driving?

It depends on the severity of the incident, so our laws have a sentencing table. Let's just say if someone winds up dead, you are likely seeing death penalty or several years imprisonment for reckless murder.

Alcohol may not be purchased by anyone under 20 without a parent present.

It's not. If the police find someone driving in a way suggesting they are drunk, they are pulled over. The driver will be allowed to drive straight home or to a hotel with the police following them.

How much time does a drunkard get sentenced if caught drunk driving?
If the drunkard has not hurt anyone, nothing. If the drunkard has hurt someone or damaged property, depending on prefecture, they could be charged as if they did it intentionally or accidentally.
Wait an hour, and it will be now again
