The few murderers, rapists and robbers that we have are rehabilitated while remaining integrated with the community. (We have no prisons.)

Terrorism isn't considered a separate crime. It would be treated as assault, arson, etc.

Treason isn't considered a crime at all.

Bribery? Fatatatutians are too careful with their money for that to be much of a factor.

In Grumman:
1) Doesn't happen, Grummans are perfect. But if it DID, they'd apologize immediately, and then we'd all eat ice cream!
2) See 1.
3) See 1.
4) See 1.
5) See 1.
6) Ah, now this can happen. Give an official too many hugs or sweeties and they might favor you, so bribery is punished with rehabilitation and a time out. Then ice cream and an apology hug.

Most crimes (such as murder, rape, etc.) require various rehabilitation stints. The terms are assigned on a case-by-case basis, but are often "indefinite". In some cases, this means that the judge doesn't know when the criminal in question will be ready to return to society (though there are general trends); other times, it's essentially a life sentence. We've never caught any terrorists, and would try them for specific crimes if we did--there's no overarching "terrorism" category. "Treason" is not a crime in (or out of, as the case may be) Zwangzug.

Of sentences that do have specific numerical boundaries ("one week"; "indefinite, minimum ten years") etc., the terms are realistic for a human life span. There's no point sentencing somebody to 200 years in prison just because they killed two people instead of one.

What are punishments for:

Officially:

1) Murder - Legal
2) Rape - N/A, we are robots. Slaves (humans) caught attempting or actually committing rape are killed.
3) Robbery - Legal
4) High treason - Death
5) Terrorism - This is a form of treason, so, death.
6) Bribery - Blatantly encouraged.

Unofficially -

Murdering someone would result in the deceased's friends and his coder coming to try to kill you. You would fight back. Whoever is still alive after the resulting firefight is the winner, and the matter is considered settled.

Robbery - If you're caught stealing, the owner of the stuff will come after you with the intention of either killing you or beating the hell out of you. He may bring friends. You will fight back. The winner gets to keep the stuff.

Hacking is our closest equivalent to rape. While technically legal, the citizens will not tolerate the presence of someone who will try to mess with their Code, and will form a mob to go delete him.

Despite this danger, the fact that a Decepticon can move more than 1,000x the ore of a human slave (and will do it for free if hacked into it) is an irresistible draw to some mine owners. Since hacked Decepticons are forced to fight for their masters, when a hacker-run mine is discovered, the resulting firefight usually ends up on the scale of a small war. Even so, there are always enough citizens against hacking to result in the hacker's defeat - everyone gets the chills at the thought of losing their individuality and being used as a mere nonsentient machine.

6) Bribery

1. 25 Years In A Federal Prison
2. We get a spiked ball........ Ok we all know where that's goin. However this is very rare, hence such a horrid punishment. In Namabia you must be married if your going to have ***. If your caught doin it outside of marriage it can be anywhere from a 500,000 NC fine, 10 years of prison time, or both.
3. Depends, if you stole some candy, you give it back and pay for it. If it's a 24 carrot diomand, 3 years in prison.
4. Life time in prison.
5. Community Service for the rest of your life with a four ton chain ball attached to your leg.
6. Depends. Bribin a government official to get what you want gets the official and you thrown into jail for five years with a 25,000 NC fine. If you bribe somone for five bucks to play a game then no punishment. Bribe someone to kill another gets you a lifetime in prison.

1) Death by Firing Squad. Fair and cost effective.
2) 5 to 50 years in prisoner labor facility & mandatory chemical castration for repeat offenders.
3) Must repay 200% of amount stolen to victim. Sent to prisoner labor facility until this debt can be repaid.
4) Either Death by Firing Squad or Exiled from Nation depending on circumstances.
5) Ideological Terrorism is High Treason. Just blowing stuff up is destruction of property and is the same sentence as robbery. Any deaths as a result of terrorism will be charged as murder.
6) 1-3 years in prison labor facility.

Voerdeland wrote:What are punishments for:

1. Capital punishment. Merciful judges give things like life in prison no parole, or extradition orders if the crime is foreign.

2. Death.

3. Depending on the severity of the crime, it can range from being duct-taped to a tree and pelted with pies by the public, then left taped overnight, with immediate release at dawn, all the way up to decades of prison. Stealing from a church is a year's worth minimum, stealing from a charity (like Christmas presents or such donations) is a four year minimum sentence.

4. Generic treason is dealt with in this order: ONE: Convict the treason committer. TWO: duct tape him or her to a tree and pelt with pies. THREE: make him wear an ID badge saying "STUPID", by court order. FOUR: Seven years in prison minimum. FIVE: Upon release, the treason criminal is banished from the country, if what he did can be shared (AKA not involving classified items). Otherwise, he's... uh... detained. Yeah. Detained. High Treason, meanwhile- there's a difference -is death.

5. Terrorists are always attempted to be caught ALIVE. We need to know what they're up to, who they're working for, why they're attacking, etc. etc. etc. The terrorist is then taken to a blank room with no windows and a sole dimly lit bulb, and left there. Once a day, he is given four pieces of toast and three gallon jugs of water. A toilet and a container of hand sanitizer (refilled weekly) is provided, but nothing more. All the while, loud, annoying music is played 24/7 until the terrorist cracks. They sleep with it, go to the bathroom with it, pray with it, eat with it, everything. The music is endless. If the villain starts singing, he is taken from the room, rewarded with real food, and tells all he knows. If the terrorist fails to crack, he stays there for as long as it takes. After a year of not going crazy and talking, the terrorist's rations are cut to two pieces of toast and two gallon jugs of water. After seven years, he is threatened with capital punishment unless he talks. Turtles and mushrooms live a long time and are patient because of it. They have extracted a lot of intelligence from the simple process of toast, water, annoying music, and patience. If they blow up something and kill someone, they are given this treatment, but the end threat of capital punishment is shortened to seven months. Capital punishment for terrorism is always the electric chair. We call the biggest chair "Pikachu".
Alternatively, and when we need to get a speedy interrogation, we waterboard!

6. Any government official convicted of bribery are instantly fired from their office, and in some cases, sentenced to death. Following new legislation in TurtleShroom, all government employees adhere to the highest standards of morality (NS Issue). Religious officials who accept bribes are publicly exposed in the media, by law, and are then subject to the doctrines of the minister's church. Those caught in the act of bribing a clergyman get two weeks of prison.

1) Murder

Taken to the Dungeons of the Burton Palace, it's pitch black, you sleep in your own feces and it's so big, chances are we'll never find you again, maybe even forget you exist . Starvation, Dehydration and random beatings.

2) Rape

Same as above except when you are new and still in the upper dungeons all torture is directed at your anus, when your records are forgotten and you get lost the random beatings take over.

3) Robbery

Items equivalent in value to the ones you stole will taken from you and given to the victim.

4) High treason

Your arms will be taken from you.

5) Terrorism

You will be put on the frontline of a battle with no weapons, if you survive you can go.

6) Bribery

Death via the gallows.

All non-execution crimes bring rehab of some sort or another
1) Murder- 5-20 years forced labor at a military base (farm work)
2) Rape- having a chastity belt stuck on oneself until rehab is finished
3) Robbery- Restitution at the expense of the guilty and 6 months to 10 years forced labor at a military camp.
4) High treason- Firing squad after public humiliation (all broadcast on TV!)
5) Terrorism- depends how bad anything usually lifetime imprisonment or execution
6) Bribery- This does not exist, being that people don't have money, well they could bribe people with possesions, but even then it is not punishable, however the media would pick up on it and get the people to run said political official out of office
