The Commons (all territory nominally claimed either by Eleosian founder communities or claimed by its organizers as part of Eleosia) hosts countless communes and communities. An independent survey group, the Eleosian Voluntary Humanitarian Census Collective (EVHCC), lists the current number of communes at around 400.

The planet of Valsika is divided into 20 Stahrten, each of which were worked by slaves descended from an ancestral Earth-based ethnic group prior to the Founder's Revolt. These groups each influenced the culture and creole of their Stahrten immensely. The Vaalsich Stahrten, settled mainly by English, Dutch and German former slaves, is the most powerful and Valsiik, a creole of the West Germanic languages is the only official language of Valsika.

While not technically states, the USSR is divided into 4 city-states (each with a Governor), 16 republics (each with a President), 8 Soviet republics (who elect councils to elect the Supreme Soviet of each SR, who elect the Supreme Soviet of the USSR), and 2 Federative Soviet Republics (who elect a council to elect the Supreme Soviet of the USSR as well as Soviet Prime Minister).

Creslonia has four provinces, which do not have governments or law-making bodies of their own. This differs significantly from a US-style state system, and the provinces are mainly used for organisation, sports, and electoral affairs.

We have 20 federated regions, including the metropolitan area of the capital. These regions have their own Regional Assembly (Batasang Panrehiyon). The Assembly votes in the Regional Governor (Punong Rehiyon) and its deputy. The judiciary is controlled mutually the Regional High Court (Mataas na Hukumang Panrehiyon) and the Supreme Court of the Federal Republic (Kataas-taasang Hukuman ng Republikang Federal). All Regional Governors are represented at the Cabinet thru the League of Regional Leaders (Liga ng mga Punong Rehiyon), chaired by the elected Regional Liaison Officer from the Governors.

Note: All names are translated into the English language.

Catalunya also called the as the Principalty.
Is the largest state with most populated, surface and GDP. It has 7 provinces and 2 autonomous shires with a high degree of selfgovernment.
7 departaments or provínces (have shires) (north to south) Rosselló-Cerdanya, Girona, Barcelona (includes metropolitan area Barcelona), Catalunya Central, Lleida - Alt Pirineu (called ponent for the westward area) Tarragona I Terres de l'Ebre.
Then there the occitan Shires shire sized but have State statute and high degree of devolution. From West to East Call d'Aran/Valh d'Aran and Fenolleda/Fenolheda.

Mallorca (state) it includes 3 provinces or island councils and the autonomous city of Àlguer. From NE to SW. Àlguer (in Sardinia), Menorca, Mallorca (includes nearby Islands such Cabrera and Dragonera) Pitïusses (Eivissa and Formentera).

Then there the overseas Departments: Mallol Island and other small Indic ocean dependencies. administered from Mallol Island.
Catalan Antilles: Each is a selfgoverning overseas department each manages it's internal affairs and the federal Government provides services and manages external affairs: Sant Martí (southern part of the Island) Illes Verges occidentals (east of Puerto Rico), Sant Tomàs, Sant Cristófor, Montserrat, Bonaire i Trinitat.
