Lethal injuection is used, but rarely. Capital punishement should only be used in extreme cases, e.g. mass homicide or terrorism. If someone is sentenced we believe it should be quick and painless.

We use the following options or in most cases a combination when we have to deal with a criminal:
- Group intervention
- A serious talk with a goverment official
- Therapy, but individual and group.
- Life Coaching
- Adult education.
- Job training
- Spa vaccation (in some serious cases.)

We have no jail, and do not assign custodial punishments. We have gotten away with most of the legal system. The community wellfare coordinator, a MD or a licened therapist will in most cases prescribe the proper treatment.

We often get asked how we deal with violent massmurderes, the answer is that we don't. However other citizens might do, since they risk a two week spa vaccation and therapy sessions. It actually works. Because most people are capable of learning responsibility, and those who don't will often notice that actions have concequences outside the legal system.

The criminals would have to compansate their victims using the standard laws for tort and damage. The courts have to decide what sort of monetary compensation that is reasonable for the crime in question. In cases where the criminal is unable to cover the monetary compasation ordered by the court, the court is free to find creative ways to compensate the victims. It is not the job of the government to limit the creativity of the courts.

Our worst punishment is life imprisonment. We do not have the death penalty, although we do offer the possibility of permanent removal of political rights and confiscation of all property for egregious crimes.

All life sentences are commutable either by the Moronist Decisions Court of Justice System upon recommendation of The Lion's Prison Service. Typically this is readily given provided there is ample evidence that the convict has made genuine progress towards rehabilitation and is unlikely to commit similar crimes in future as determined by our multidisciplinary task force, the Convict Assessment Squadron. The Lion in Council does retain the right to grant pardons and reprieves, but this is exceedingly rare. Note that in the vast majority of cases, criminal records are expunged upon discharge and cannot be accessed by any non-security sensitive employer (as certified by the Head of the Department of Judicial Affairs (or designee), and is very tightly defined). However, again, entry into the public record is an additional penalty that may be assigned either upon trial or as part of the commuted sentence.

I just had to add that; the concept of black vans always makes me laugh. I've had a lot of good memories on vacation in minivans and I love to laugh at conspiracies, so I just wanted to make my amusement known.

Also, the 100 year old, rusted, tin cell never gets cleaned, ever! They are forden to make noise, speek or have any freedom in the slightest form. There is no...room to sit on the floor, chairs, lights, form of entertainment enough, air, showers are strictly forbinen. We allow you out once a day to speek to a priest (optional), who is behind a bullet proof glass and ask for repentance and forgivness, once this has happened, if it's happened you go back to your cell, if it hasn't happened, you go back to your cell.

24.Once your dead, we send you back to earth where we donate your organs ect to charity

Also, the death penalaty is outlawed........and the cells are covered in thin light buble rap so noone can kill themselves but they can still get hurt survelly
When are they going to pass that condemn proposal?
Anyway, our worst punishment is exclusively for terrorists. It consists of a week of torture, followed by the firing squad. For normal felons, we just have the firing squad.

These methods of punishment are utterly barbaric and unprofitable. Our most severe punishment is life-time subservience and stripping the individual of their wealth, reducing them to the status of impoverished. They are essentially pariahs and ousted from mainstream society. They can only survive by obeying the master to whom they are assigned. There are regulations on the treatment of these indentured people but they otherwise have no worth in society.

by The United Taifas
Stoning, hanging, beheading, crucifixion, and other methods of judicial execution have been applied at times in various Taifas and theoretically could still be employed today, though in practice it is not common for such a sentence to be passed, and some Taifas have not carried out an execution in several decades, a few Emirs even banning capital punishment in their domains.

The Andalusī legal system remains heavily influenced by Islamic penal law, but the centuries since the Great Ba'ath have seen the triumphant return of liberal, secular thought and the elimination of reactionary tendencies of the Murābiṭūn and their successors, meaning that some of the more controversial hudud are no longer applied, and arguable infractions such as apostasy and the consumption of alcohol are rarely treated as hudud offences meriting a response such as may be expected in cases of theft and robbery. Like executions, amputations are now almost unheard of, and flogging -though still meted out from time to time, particularly in some rural areas- is less common than financial and property penalties and terms of incarceration.

Murderers get life, but there is worse. Rapist punishment goes as follows:

First offense: Rehabilitation, 10 years

Second Offense: 15 years in prison

Third offense: 30 years in prison

After that: You are castrated, and then given life in prison.

The worst punishment in Hodori is imprisonment for 31250 days, or 50 Traditional Hodoran years, or 85.56 Western years. Despite effectively being a life sentence, parole is possible upon completion of 80% of the sentence, or 25000 days (40 Traditional years/68.45 Western years), with good behavior.
This punishment is given to mass murderers and war criminals.
Even with the worst punishment, all prisoners are given the same rights. The aim of prison in Hodori is rehabilitation, not proving how disgusting we can be.

The worst was the death penalty, but that was recently banned with Hodori Federal Council Decision 1A9H-37.

Murderers and rapists are floated off to sea with a pair of armed guards, so basically we maroon serious criminals. We don't execute people, let alone perform the barbaric punishment rituals of nations such as Kalasparta.

The worst punishment in Wallenbergia is impalement in what is referred to by some foreigners as 'the pit'. Reserved for only the worst of the worst, the person's hands are tied behind their back, then they are pushed off of the ledge into the Stikkenggrop (The Wallembergish name of the impalement pit, literally meaning "Stabbing Pit"). When they reach the bottom, the ancient, iron spikes enter the body, and due to the small hooks covering every inch of the spike, if the person is still able to try and escape, the hooks will tear the persons flesh as they try to do so. This punishment has not been used in over 70 years, but if ever a time comes when someone is found to have commited a crime heinous enough, the pit is always waiting.
The worst punishments that are in regular use would be the punishments for rapists, molesters, and those who have killed a person in a particularly painful way. These include death by gas asphyxiation, hanging, the guillotine, and the most common, the firing squad.

It depends on the species. For Reptiles and Dinosaurs, the worst punishment is being beaten and whipped as well as being raped by male guards (females only), as for Humans, however, the worst punishment is dealt towards those unlucky Humans who have killed a Dinosaur, spoke very badly about Saurisia and the Dinosaurs, and those confirmed to be traitors to Saurisia.

The criminal is put into a small room with several carnivorous Dinosaur guards, whose natural instinct is to kill without mercy to those they kill. The prisoner is to be bitten really hard several times by the guards, who then wait as the the prisoner begins to bleed severely, waiting for him to die. Carnivorous Dinosaurs are very patient, they can wait for hours for a victim to bleed to death, which is a long, slow, and agonizing way to die. Once the victim is confirmed dead, the guards will first take off the prisoner jumpsuit to be reused and then feast on the dead body.

THAT is the worst, most cruel, and most horrifying punishment we have here in Saurisia, and it's a punishment to a crime that no Human wishes to commit.
