Spindle is a three-star system polity with a moderately-sized Navy and a far larger Merchant Marine. Of the three planets, Spindle, the capital, is the hub of government and where the capital city, Puriel, is located. Spindle is also host to a cluster of habitats, orbital dockyards and satellites which form a loose sphere around it. Erebus is the industrial capital, especially the cities of Ephia and Olto, and its orbital infrastructure is more developed than even Spindle's with the rich pickings of its asteroid belt being readily exploited. Umbara, the third inhabited planet in the Star Kingdom, is the home of innovation and artisanship, the only two cities on its wind-scoured surface being Phanes and Petraeus, which rise elegantly into the clouds above.
Any Ambassadors and their staff who visit the Star Kingdom may have security provided for them by the local authorities, should they desire it and may ask for particular security, or the absence thereof, but the Star Nation is not responsible in any way for the health of anyone who is not covered by local security. No assassination contracts against members of an ambassadorial group will be taken up by Spindlean assassins during their stay in the Star Nation. However, all Ambassador and their staff must abide by the following rules, or else run the risk of expulsion from the Star Kingdom:
- No more than thirty security personnel.
Only sidearms, small arms and melee weapons are allowed onto the planet and they must be registered with the local authorities and displayed at all times.
Vehicles are allowed, but they may not be armed and must be registered with the local authorities.
Only one ship may have a permanent berth in orbit for any given nation.
Abide by the laws of the nation: although individuals cannot be prosecuted, embassies may be closed should the laws not be adhered to.
Should these rules seem unreasonable, the Foreign Office might be able to work something out, as long as it does not endanger the Star Nation or any ambassadors residing within it.
