Who regulates your courts and justice system? how are they organised?

for example, Diatraba's justice system goes like this:

The Director of the Courts and Justice regulates the legal system of our country. He has a subdepartment - The People's Courts (Volksgericht) and our judiciary is organised thus:

Local Courts of the People (Amtsgericht des Volkes). The officer in charge of these courts is the Local People's Procurator (öffentlichen Staatsanwalt), and the judges who sit in this court are the People's local judges (Menschen vor Ort Richter). The local courts normally deal with cases from local villages and towns.

District Courts of the People (Bezirksgerichte des Volkes). the Officer in charge of this echelon of justice is the District Procurator (Bezirk Staatsanwalt), and the judges who sit in this court are People's District Judges (Bezirksrichter des Volkes). These courts normally deal with court cases within the district as a whole, and with cases where the People wish to appeal or reconfirm the decisions made in the local courts

Regional Courts of the People (regionalen Volksgerichte), headed by the regional procurator of the people (regionalen Menschen Staatsanwalt), deals with judicial cases from the region as a whole. They can also reaffirm, or overturn decisions made at a local and district level

National people's court (vorlegende Gericht des Volkes), headed by the Supreme Procurator-General (obersten Staatsanwalt) is the highest court in the land. There is no higher authority than this court in normal circumstances, however, depending on the case, the people can appeal to the Supreme Court of Directors (Gericht Richtung), where the case is heard by the Director for Justice and the Courts, the Supreme Director, and the Deputy Supeme Director. Their decisions are FINAL.

All the Law within this Nation is based on Roman Law (Römisches Recht) - specifically based upon the Twelve Tables of Law (Zwölf Tafeln des Gesetzes)

The Royal Constitutional Court:

The highest court in the land. The Royal Constitutional Court hears cases to determine their constitutionality, and hears the appeals to lower courts on a case-by-case basis. It is a panel of 10 Associate Justices and one Chief Justice.

The Royal Civil Court:

This court deals strictly with civil matters such as civil disputes and anything of a non-criminal nature.

The Royal Criminal Court:

This court deals strictly with criminal matters such as robbery and anything of a criminal nature.

The Royal Court of Appeals:

This court deals strictly with appeals of lower court decisions, and does not make stand-alone decisions; it simply decides whether a lower court decision was just and not in error.

The Royal Court of Law and Order:

This court is deals with crimes that are royal offenses; those that are crimes against the state and constitution. These crimes carry heavier fines than normal crimes and yield much more time in rehabilitation.

The Ministry of Justice heads the entire judiciary and is head by the Minister of Justice. He appoints Constitutional Court Justices for Royal Legislature review and confirmation, and appoints replacements to lower court justices when one retires or steps down, until new elections are held.

the local governing councils meet jointly with the accused and their victims and together all parties involved reach unanimous agreement as to appropriate courses of further action. no punishment which is not more severe then the crime is ever entirely "off the table".
truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.

"economic freedom" is "the cake"

Under our tribal governments, judgment is passed by the Elder of a given area. Appeals can be made to more senior Elders and ultimately to the tribal Patriarch himself, but it's not often done--senior Elders have the authority not only to dismiss rulings by lesser ones, but can also add to the penance imposed upon the guilty party. Perceived disrespect of the Elders (as evidenced by asking for an appeal) can be grounds for increased penance, so appealing a conviction is a chancy process.
