Here in the GWO, many Communist revolutionaries have been sentenced to "Execution via Creative Methods."

I.e., the executioner does whatever he feels to the prisoner. This ranges from hanging to (illegally, as Carnifexes are forbidden to profit off of their deeds) hosting gladiator matches between their prisoners, giving them weapons such as spike bats and crowbars.

Of course, most of those killed by the GWO government are done so via gunshot wounds.

"After capital punishment was instated due to the vote of the people, our means are in the form of lethal injection as it is seen as the most humane way to end a life when the proper measures are taken. Capital punishment is always a last resort however and saved for the worst crimes."

bullet to the head. the government doesn't execute people, though, and condemns it. unfortunately, that doesn't stop some military units from executing captured guerrillas. we also severely lack the personnel to be able to afford to bring charges against most officers guilty of this

Very common; Most all crimes are punished by death. Usually in the most painful way possible.

Here in Parmenter, the preferred method is hanging. Long drop, of course.

Execution was completely outlawed in 1963. The harshest prison sentence is life without parole.

We do that sometimes. Not often, though. Local human rights fronts keep saying it's too inhumane to lock a person away that long.

It doesn't happen that often either - the last time it was used was in 2003 on a man who kidnapped, raped, murdered and mutilated more than 30 women.

You see, he would have been gallows fruit for that here. We feel imprisonment is a temporary removal of an individual from society to place him where he may be effectively punished and rehabilitated. Permanent removal implies he has done something so horrific that he shouldn't be let back in to society at large ever again, in which case he should be removed permanently, and at once.

Ramsetia, until recently, would utilise live burial for the execution of criminals, the implication being that the one being executed was not worth killing before their funeral.

however, we have since abolished the death penalty in favour of televised rape by our national animal.

If you were, however, referring to assasinations, the preferred method is sniper rifle. Or a crossbow, if we wish to make a statement.

I like it! Except, the punishment for mass murder should be higher than child molestation, perhaps poking their eyes out, and pouring tabasco in the sockets would be better? :eyebrow:

Get somebody with AIDS to pee in their eye-sockets... It was on a South Park episode :)

On those rare occasions in which a civilian court hands out a death sentence (rare because Malkyeri courts can only sentence someone to capital punishment on the advice and consent of the jury, except in cases of high treason), the condemned is permitted to choose between hanging, firing squad, lethal injection, or a gas chamber.

Courts martial, on the other hand, may execute convicts for a variety of crimes, including but not limited to high treason, mutiny, murder and rape. The punishment for all is to be hanged by the neck until dead; death by firing squad may be substituted should hanging be impractical for whatever reason.

Airstrip Sixteen practices capital punishment. This is accomplished through "rehabilitation," where a person is "disappeared" or "vanished," as the Proles would say, and re-indoctrinated, typically through physical and emotional torture, before finally being executed. The execution itself is usually accomplished with a simple shot from a firearm into the back of the skull.

Capital punishment in the People's Republic of Indinium is performed by lethal injection. In our 173-year old nation it is only performed 4 times! Crime today, is totally unknown.

We use "Tal'Shaya" which means we grab the offender by the neck and break his spine instantly. In our 40,000 year-old planetary nation, this has been performed less than 1 million times. And it's cheap, too!

The death penalty is outlawed in Adolescentia. Prison sentences can be for life, but everyone deemed "sane" is given the chance of parole.

Execution is fairly common in the Volnotov Empire.

All criminals are sent to labour camps(altough there are exceptions - read below),
Revolting or disrespecting the guards will result in a longer(and with longer I mean very long) sentence,

Commiting a crime like murder, rape or assault while being imprisoned in a labour camp will result in public execution.

There are three ways of execution,
--> Firing squad
--> Hanging
--> Lethal Injection
--> Decapitation(guillotine)

And the last one is also seen, but not very frequently though.

--> Being fed alive to genetic modified animals(wich the people refer to as, the reapers)

Also nice to tell, sentences in the Volnotov Empire are very long an very harsh, being sentenced to 10 years of foced labour is close to death penalty.

Protests are allowed - even against the goverment, but as soon as they start to behave violent(breaking windows, burning cars, blocking traffic, ect.) the police will come in and fire at the protestors, survivors will be sent to labour camps(for a very long time) while the organisers of the protest will be executed.

Same happens to hooligans and other lunatics disrupting social order.

People can also can choose not to go to a labour camp by paying a huge sum of money to the relatives of the victims and/or to the victims them selfs.

If they still cannot pay the compansation they will have their belongings confiscated and sold, if people still can't pay the compensation, then they will be send to labour camps.

Criminals that have committed a minor offense(theft, disrespect for authority, vandalasm, ect.) will first be convicted to public flogging, after that they will construct houses, public buildings(schools, hospitals, ect.), build roads, clean the environment and perform factory labour or are sentenced to work on one of the goverment farms(remember, revolt and you will be shot without a warning).

Criminals that have commited a serious or violent offense(rape, murder, sexual & physical abuse, arson, trying to revolt against the goverment and the people, conspiracy and corruption for example) will be eligible for even more harsh forced labour, including working in the mines and being forced to be a test subject for medical and military testing(and I can tell you, what happens in those facilities is beyond nasty).

Khazov wrote:We have a very special form of semi-public execution. For the worst, most violent criminals who are sentenced by our courts to die, we first declare them a non-person. This is to remove the idea of these monsters' "civil rights". Then, a private corporation called KCM Productions pays the government for the rights to execute them (This is legal, as they are no longer people, but considered refuse; garbage to be disposed of. Any form slavery or of ownership of actual people is itself a crime in Khazov).

KCM Productions has erected a large processing facility which includes a state-of-the-art stadium. There is a weekly pay-per-view program aired on premium cable and satellite networks, entitled " Take Out The Trash: Khazov Chooses!". The program opens with a large gate opening in the arena, letting dozens of convicts run onto the field. Then, two monster-tucks, usually driven by sponsored, professional drivers, drive onto the field, and attempt to run down as many of the convicts as possible. Each criminal has a number on the back of their jumpsuit, which is their point-value if killed (the value is proportional to the severity of their crime). The winner usually wins some sort of prize, generally a sponsorship, cash, or a trip.

The "main event" consists of 3 or 4 convicts, the worst of the worst, being led onto a stage. Here, the audience is read a brief description of each of the criminals, and crimes they have been convicted of; this is occasionally accompanied by a video dramatization. Then, several methods of execution are drawn from a hat, and the audience votes (both live and by phone in, phone in votes cost 10 Khazids each) on how the garbage should be disposed of. There is also occasionally a special option offered up to the vote that has been a particular crowd favorite, "The Wheel Of Death". It is essentially a set of 3 concentric wheels that when spun, produce a form of execution that is a combination of two different traditional forms and a third "wild card" modifier. Some past results have been "Electrocuted while Hanged with a Jump Rope" and "Drawn and Quartered and Shot with a T-shirt Launcher".

The show has proven to be a runaway success. Ratings are astronomical, the economy is stimulated, and the government is saving a ton of money on what has proven to be a costly process in the past.

Your nation is, of course, a wretched hive of savagery and barbarism that should never have come into existence, but damn did I chuckle at that bold part.
