Threats to National Security

Postby Des-Bal » Fri Feb 19, 2010 2:57 pm

Are there any groups within your country that would violently seize power?
Brief description please include:
How many?
How dangerous?
What race/religion/ethnic group/species makes them up?
What are their goals?
Why are they upset?

Description: Des-Bal having been founded by terrorists is filled with groups. The most annoying being the Kythai Rah. These individuals are made almost entirely of the group of un-humans that appear to be the spawn of a human and a feral cat known as the Krjn. The second most powerful militant group during the Final War, the close second to the Shadow Gorad, they seized much of the millitary after capturing strategic points. When the benevolent and glorious Shadow Gorad did finally succeed they began a program to systematically kill the terrorist filth.

How many? Thousands, possibly hundreds of thousands.
How dangerous? Severly if it wasn't for the unanimous hatred of these sub-humans and the civillian presumption that they should be preemptivley killed they could easilly cause massive amounts of damage.
What group? Krjn
What are their goals? If the animals are capable of extended thought then their previous goals of democracy for all citizens most likely remains.
Why are they upset? The creatures believe entirely unjustly that they are somehow not to be blamed for their actions during the war and somehow see themselves fit to live among and work among humans and the generally accepted Rakataa.

None inside my country, but I think this still counts. :)

Description: A warlike tribe of people that appeared during the early Middle Ages.
How many? A country full, not exact numbers yet.
How dangerous? Fully. Known to fantasize about war daily. There's rumors going about that they're going get their hands on ICBMs soon...
What race/religion/ethnic group/species makes them up? They're all white, like us. They're mostly pagan, but there's a growing number of Muslims every day.
What are their goals? Do fully destroy us. They hate the fact that we emberassed their attempts at a take over hundreds of years ago.
Why are they upset? Because we held them back hundreds of years ago when they tried to take us over before.
We RP as Kiojin.

Are there any groups within your country that would violently seize power? United Communist Freedom Army UCFA
Brief description please include: This group was formed a bit after Chancellor Ulrek Solchez came to power. They use guerrilla tactics against the government and constantly engage in wars outside the country to help there "comrades"
How many? thousands or hundreds of thousands or more
How dangerous? Extremely dangerous due to the fact that they have many loyal followers and constantly attack the government and engage in other wars.
What race/religion/ethnic group/species makes them up? They have no religion but believe in communism. They make up many races and ethnic groups of Bavungria such as Bavugrian's, Kulian's and Slpian's. They are Humans
What are their goals? To oust the Chancellor and create a communist state
Why are they upset? They are upset because the Chancellor Ulrek Solchez is in power. The Chancellor rules like and iron-fist militaristic dictator. Since we're a democratic country, there's really no need to violently seize power. All the Fascists, Religionists, and other freedom haters have their political parties which never seem to get more then 0,0005% of the vote.

There's a group that has historically tried to topple the monarchy, but in modern times they've become content with representation in the Royal Legislature and no longer act violently. They do protest every day outside of the Royal Residence though.

1)Robber Barons, Big Capitalists are threat to our society. We make sure our workers don't become virtually slaves by putting regulation on the market that protect the workers. Some economists say regulations on market limit the liberty of people, we would argue that deregulation creates exploitation of workers, that means decrease freedom and liberty for most people.

2)Racists/hate group/supremacy group- any hate groups that is ignorant enough to judge people based solely on their race, gender, religion, is a threat to national peace and security

There are a few religious nutcases. Some of them want "witchcraft" outlawed (which a few of them limit to just magic, and others extend to all kinds of science); others would like to conquer the world in the name of some deity, demon or outsider (the latter two of which exist, which makes these cults somewhat more dangerous).

Oh, and then we have the separatists, but by definition they fight only for independence of remote corners of the Empire, so while they are an annoyance there, they are no great threat to national security at the heartland. There is in fact only one Emperor who ever got assassinated by rebels, and he is officially acknowledged by most historians as "a real dick".

I'm curious about this "power" that you talk about seizing. What kind of power do you think anybody could have over a Fatatatutian?

The "PQR", Populsque Romanus.

Estimated to be in the low thousands, ten thousand at most.

Very dangerous, mostly to Senators. Vigilante mobs still go after corrupt or otherwise dishonorable Senators, and we suspect the PQR to be the cause of two of the last three that have happened since '08.

Moralites. Stoics, Christians, Pagans, they come from all religious walks of life.

To destroy the Senate. After that it gets a little blurry. We're not sure if they want Anarchy or a new government.

Because Moralite Senators are held to a high standard, one that they rarely meet, and one that a rare few dip so far below that it whips the Moralite mob into a frenzy. The PQR is that mob, only a bit more permanent. Also because the Senate often provides incompetent leadership for the nation, a claim even I cannot deny.

Justice is an abstract concept and Morality is the name given to the voices in your head that your supposed to listen to as opposed to get help for.

Morality is whatever a Moralite decides it is. My definition of Morality differs from my esteemed colleague Senator Faustus, and many other people in CM. Justice is the legal imposition of order to protect those who cannot defend themselves, and to punish those who prove detrimental to said order. Justice is the only moral code I follow.

The name, perhaps? The ranks within the army? I'm sure someone out there would love to be addressed as 'Brigadier General of Fatatatutti'.

We have Generals in the Army but the Army has nothing to do with the government. It's an independent organization.

We have a system of government and we talk to international peeps - I'm doing that right now - but what is the "power" that has anything to do with that?
