Although our economic philosophies are miles apart, our attitudes towards our leadership are similar. Our Consuls and leaders of the Grand Assembly don't merit much in the way of a bodyguard, because frankly, they don't wield that much authority to begin with, and they can easily be replaced.

The Iron Cross Order of Holy Knights (German: Der Eisernes Kreuz Orden von Heiligen Ritter or Der Eisenkreuz Orden in short), hold the prestige of safeguarding the Emperor's life, although having members of his own royal family control the organization can be a bonus (or a mistake). Responsibility for his protection lies mostly on the Schwert division, the Elite Guard of the Orden, but on occasions such as inspections or overseas trips, the Schild and the Dolch will also play a vital role.

However, in spite the added protection, the Emperor himself, having fought, slain enemies and cheated death multiple times on the battlefield, is more than capable of handling himself. We just cannot have him walking around in bandages or lying on a cold hospital bed on a usual basis.

The Emperor of Ermarian is protected by a Dervish squad of the Imperial army.

"Dervish" in general is merely an honorary rank indicating that a soldier has achieved particularly excellent ability both in close combat and leadership (with the development of projectile weapons, marksmanship has been added to these skills). Most who are promoted to high-ranking officers were already Dervishes. The title does not confer a command automatically, but Dervishes are often given the command of a small special operations squad.

The squad protecting the Emperor, consisting entirely of Dervishes, is another notch above these. They are lightly armored and particularly trained in unarmed martial arts.

Everyone basically protects themselves. Sure, most leaders buy a little extra secutiry for they're houses and places of buisiness, as well as a bodyguard or a group of guards, and everyone wears body armor; yet we mostly just provide our own security for ourselves in JJ Place; we're a heavily armed society.

The Oziac are Count Franzdersons praetorian guard and security for the Phantom party. The Oziac also has a combat wing which serves as an army with in the army. This is done to prevent any possible coup within the regular army against the party. The Oziac serves as elite troops on the battlefield conducting political attacks such as rounding up all politcal threats to a soon to be puppet regime to destroying key elements the enemy has. The Oziac also runs the Mist which is the Altackian secret police.

The Oziacs symbol is a knights helmet symbolizing its elite status. This symbol is seen on Oziac uniforms,buildings and vehicles.In combat the Oziac use a uniform exactly like the regular armies only the knights helmet is on the collar of the uniform and officers cap.
