Do your nation’s people wear clothes?
Of course.

Is public nudity allowed in your nation? If so, to what extent?
It is heavily looked down upon, unless you go to some type of nude beach.

Do you have a national dress, and if so, what is it?
Since our culture is heavily based on that of German culture, it is a Dirndl for women and Lederhosen for men. However, this is rarely worn, unless a Valcrisian citizen wants to wear it.

Are there major gender differences in clothing or is clothing unisex?
Men and women can dress however they'd like.

What do your people commonly wear? Give an example (if applicable):
During hotter seasons, usually citizens wear more thinner material. During colder seasons, citizens wear thicker material.

Are there any particular items specific to your nation?
Traditional European clothing, other than that, no.

Is clothing regulated by the government in any way (for example, a dress code)?
Only for children in school, other than that, no.

Do school students wear uniforms?
All children, girls and boys, wear the Starkejugend uniform, which is unisex.

Is public nudity legal everywhere?
No.

If it is restricted to certain contexts, what are those contexts?
Only legal in nude beaches

If public nudity is legal, are there any laws protecting nude citizens (for example, would someone be explicitly protected from being kicked off a bus?)?
N/A

Does the law control to any extent what people are allowed to wear in public?
No.

If so, how extensive are these laws (for example, do they only restrict that you have to wear a suit at your day job or is everyone required to wear a unisex uniform?)?
N/A

Do schools more commonly have uniforms, dress codes, or no restrictions?
Uniforms.

Does the government restrict people’s appearance (for example, dyeing hair or ear piercings)?
The government could care less.

Does the government control the supply of clothing (for example, does everyone wear government issued clothing or are private businesses and fashion allowed?
Private businesses are not too common and those that are around are watched heavily. However, most people in Valcris have an extremely wide variety of clothing, as the government could care less of how one dresses, as long as they aren't nude.

Private enterprise is totally unheard of, sooo...

Do your nation’s people wear clothes? Yes.
Is public nudity allowed in your nation? If so, to what extent? There isn't a law against it, but since my country is in Antarctica, anybody who decides to be nude in public is asking to die (or for their balls to freeze off).
Do you have a national dress, and if so, what is it? There is a tunic with a hood Pidopqei that goes over everyday clothing for warmth and for social status.
Are there major gender differences in clothing or is clothing unisex? Clothing is unisex, but people add feathers to their Pidopqei to show social status and/or for luck. Different feathers represent different things, certain feathers are worn by priests and others by soldiers, hunters, fishermen, etc.
What do your people commonly wear? Give an example (if applicable): Clothes are made out of seal skin and lined on the inside with feathers. The first layer is thin pants and shirt. The second is thick pants and a coat. The third layer is a Pidopqei. People wear socks and boots lined with feathers.
Are there any particular items specific to your nation? Under their Pidopqei, people carry belts that have a knife and a seaweed pouch called a Kamvek that is used to carry food.
Is clothing regulated by the government in any way (for example, a dress code)? No, but it is considered rude to wear to wear clothing of a higher or lower status.
Do school students wear uniforms? No.

Is public nudity legal everywhere? N/A
If it is restricted to certain contexts, what are those contexts? N/A
If public nudity is legal, are there any laws protecting nude citizens (for example, would someone be explicitly protected from being kicked off a bus?)? N/A

If so, how extensive are these laws (for example, do they only restrict that you have to wear a suit at your day job or is everyone required to wear a unisex uniform?)? People will make fun of you for dressing too high/low, but no repercussions.
Do schools more commonly have uniforms, dress codes, or no restrictions? No restrictions.
Does the government restrict people’s appearance (for example, dyeing hair or ear piercings)? No.
Does the government control the supply of clothing (for example, does everyone wear government issued clothing or are private businesses and fashion allowed? No, people usually make their own clothing or trade with others.

Do your nation’s people wear clothes? Yes, we aren't uncivilized animals.
Is public nudity allowed in your nation? If so, to what extent? Not at all.
Do you have a national dress, and if so, what is it? A dirndl. The national dress of Bavaria.
Are there major gender differences in clothing or is clothing unisex? There are major differences. There are only males and females. Homosexuals are resettled to a extermination camp where they can work until they change their ways. We don't allow cross dressing at all.
What do your people commonly wear? Give an example (if applicable): It depends. Most of our civilians wear whatever they want from trousers and a cotton shirt. They might wear a leather jacket during the colder seasons. Military men wear their uniforms. The subhuman apes in the labor camps wear their prison uniforms.
Are there any particular items specific to your nation? We have historically worn German and Polish clothes.
Is clothing regulated by the government in any way (for example, a dress code)? Yes, we the government regulate all kinds of clothes. Don't dress as those people who lost the war and don't dress like a homosexual.
Do school students wear uniforms? Yes they do.

Is public nudity legal everywhere? No.
If it is restricted to certain contexts, what are those contexts? It is highly restricted. Nudity belongs in the labor camps for checkups and in the bedroom.
If public nudity is legal, are there any laws protecting nude citizens (for example, would someone be explicitly protected from being kicked off a bus?)? Lets be realistic here. Someone who chooses to be nude in public probably has a mental illness and are taken away to never be seen again. The mental ill are a burden to our nation and they aren't much of a help in the labor camps.
Does the law control to any extent what people are allowed to wear in public? Everything pretty much.
If so, how extensive are these laws (for example, do they only restrict that you have to wear a suit at your day job or is everyone required to wear a unisex uniform?)? They aren't too extensive, but we need to look like civilized people and the enemies of our great nation aren't civilized.
Do schools more commonly have uniforms, dress codes, or no restrictions? Yes, schools have uniforms except universities.
Does the government restrict people’s appearance (for example, dyeing hair or ear piercings)? Piercings are not allowed and we don't allow certain tattoos.
Does the government control the supply of clothing (for example, does everyone wear government issued clothing or are private businesses and fashion allowed? Private businesses are allowed to sell clothing, but they have to adhere to the governments standard of clothing seen in 'Culture and Practices', article 14.

Do your nation’s people wear clothes? Yes
Is public nudity allowed in your nation? If so, to what extent? Yes in all public areas. It is mostly a seasonal thing common in the summer but rare in the winter.
Do you have a national dress, and if so, what is it? No national dress
Are there major gender differences in clothing or is clothing unisex? Their are some differences between men's and women's clothing though their is considerable overlap. Military and police uniforms are unisex.

Are there any particular items specific to your nation? No
Is clothing regulated by the government in any way (for example, a dress code)? No.

If it is restricted to certain contexts, what are those contexts? It is restricted by law as a safety issue at certain occupations. Also on duty military and police have to wear uniforms. In most workplaces, even where not explicitly prohibited by law, it is seen as inappropriate dress.

Does the law control to any extent what people are allowed to wear in public? No
If so, how extensive are these laws (for example, do they only restrict that you have to wear a suit at your day job or is everyone required to wear a unisex uniform?)? Not applicable.
Do schools more commonly have uniforms, dress codes, or no restrictions? No restrictions.
Does the government restrict people’s appearance (for example, dyeing hair or ear piercings)? No

Do your nation’s people wear clothes?Yes
Is public nudity allowed in your nation? If so, to what extent? No
Do you have a national dress, and if so, what is it? No
Are there major gender differences in clothing or is clothing unisex? Yes, the clothing culture in the country has been one to regulate between gender. Though most things are unisex, like shirts, hats, jackets, etc. but pants for women in not a norm.
What do your people commonly wear? Give an example (if applicable): In the populous, more liberal areas men wear the usual shirt and jeans with either shoes, sneakers or boots. In less populated and rural areas, they are more traditional, wearing suits and wears related to farming and labor. For urban women, it is similar to the men although most wear skirts instead of pants. For rural women the dress is as well casual, with most rural women wearing veils and skirts full time.
Are there any particular items specific to your nation? No, not really
Is clothing regulated by the government in any way (for example, a dress code)? Yes, women, of ages past 14, are obligated to wear hair coverings in all government and religious buildings and holy sites. Though not obligated, it is socially practiced that women past their 50s wear veils all year round.
Do school students wear uniforms? Yes.

Is public nudity legal everywhere? No, nowhere.
If it is restricted to certain contexts, what are those contexts? None
If public nudity is legal, are there any laws protecting nude citizens (for example, would someone be explicitly protected from being kicked off a bus?)? No, if anything there would be encouragement to kick them off the bus.
Does the law control to any extent what people are allowed to wear in public? Yes
If so, how extensive are these laws (for example, do they only restrict that you have to wear a suit at your day job or is everyone required to wear a unisex uniform?)? Government mandated chapel veils
Do schools more commonly have uniforms, dress codes, or no restrictions? Yes, all recognized public and some private schools have dress codes. Boys wear suit jackets and pants/girls wear suit jackets, skirts and high socks(past primary school, veils are worn, except in obvious cases of physical performance if deemed necessary)
Does the government restrict people’s appearance (for example, dyeing hair or ear piercings)? Extraordinary appearance is not illegal but it is socially looked down upon, so it is best not to do it in the first place.
Does the government control the supply of clothing (for example, does everyone wear government issued clothing or are private businesses and fashion allowed? No, not necessarily, clothing is an open market.

Do your nation’s people wear clothes? Yes
Is public nudity allowed in your nation? If so, to what extent? It is, depending on where you are. In the west, it is legal, but it is incredibly frowned upon. In the east, it is illegal for both men and women, but punishments for women are more severe.
Do you have a national dress, and if so, what is it? Yes, an example of male and female versions of the Arbarban national costume.
Are there major gender differences in clothing or is clothing unisex? It depends on the location. There are of course outliers to all. Western men wear pants and coats, and western women wear long dresses. Eastern men wear pants and tunics or robes, and eastern women wear an Abaya or a long dress with long sleeves and a Jilbāb.
What do your people commonly wear? Give an example (if applicable): In the west, In the east
Are there any particular items specific to your nation? Though they are traditionally reserved for very formal occasions, and thus rarely seen, a unisex clothing piece from Arbarba does exist. The Skryeshchpan is an elbow-length glove with small, metal "claws" on each fingertip.
Is clothing regulated by the government in any way (for example, a dress code)? Aside from reduced importing of more immodest clothing, no
Do school students wear uniforms? In every school
Is public nudity legal everywhere? No
If it is restricted to certain contexts, what are those contexts? It is only legal in the western half of the country, and then it is restricted to private property, public baths, and swimming areas (ie. beaches and pools)
If public nudity is legal, are there any laws protecting nude citizens (for example, would someone be explicitly protected from being kicked off a bus?)? No
Does the law control to any extent what people are allowed to wear in public? Yes
If so, how extensive are these laws (for example, do they only restrict that you have to wear a suit at your day job or is everyone required to wear a unisex uniform?)? It is explicitly stated that anyone wishing to enter the Emperor's town-estate, or wishing to seek an audience with him if he is elsewhere in Arbarba, is required to wear traditional Turkic (ie. a şalvar, Papakha, Chokha, koylek) or Eastern Asian clothing (ie. Deel, qípáo, Hànfú, Hanbok, kimono, kariginu)
Do schools more commonly have uniforms, dress codes, or no restrictions? Every school, from pre-K to university, has uniforms
Does the government restrict people’s appearance (for example, dyeing hair or ear piercings)? Non-religious facial piercings are illegal, with small fines as a punishment.
Does the government control the supply of clothing (for example, does everyone wear government issued clothing or are private businesses and fashion allowed? Private businesses can sell whatever they want, however, the government will charge an "immodesty tax" on whatever clothes are deemed too immodest, and an additional, massive "cultural degeneracy tax" if those clothes are made for children. Miniskirts, thongs, small bikinis, and camisoles are some examples of items that are often taxed into oblivion.

Do your nation’s people wear clothes? Yes
Is public nudity allowed in your nation? If so, to what extent? In general, yes. However, since we are a confederation, each haven can decide its own laws about public nudity and the minimum age required.
Do you have a national dress, and if so, what is it? Not officially, no. However, since Kedri was originally a refuge for pirates and other criminals, many aspects and influences from the Golden Age of Piracy is still noticeable, and this includes clothing. The President of the National Council and other elected officials often wear long coats, tricorn hats, and boots, typical pirate apparel.
Are there major gender differences in clothing or is clothing unisex? Yes, but not enforced.
What do your people commonly wear? Give an example (if applicable): Men will often wear loose pants or shorts, sandals or boots, and a short sleeved shirt. Sometimes they will sport a bandanna and vest. Some may choose to wear nothing more than shorts and flip-flops. Women tend to wear shorts or skirts, T-shirts or tank-tops, and shoes. Some may wear nothing more than a bikini.
Are there any particular items specific to your nation? No
Is clothing regulated by the government in any way (for example, a dress code)? No
Do school students wear uniforms? No, except in private schools or if a public school run and funded by a local government requires it.

Is public nudity legal everywhere? Yes. It is up to each haven to decide, but every single one of them has legalized it.
If it is restricted to certain contexts, what are those contexts? Most havens put a minimum age restriction on public nudity.
If public nudity is legal, are there any laws protecting nude citizens (for example, would someone be explicitly protected from being kicked off a bus?)? In general no, though local municipal governments may enact their own laws.
Does the law control to any extent what people are allowed to wear in public? No
If so, how extensive are these laws (for example, do they only restrict that you have to wear a suit at your day job or is everyone required to wear a unisex uniform?)? Depends on the municipality.
Do schools more commonly have uniforms, dress codes, or no restrictions? In general, no.
Does the government restrict people’s appearance (for example, dyeing hair or ear piercings)? No
Does the government control the supply of clothing (for example, does everyone wear government issued clothing or are private businesses and fashion allowed? No

Kedri is a nation of 18th century pirates who know water-bending. Throw in some steampunk, as well. Tech level is PT/FanT.
Kedrians abandon piracy and become a modernized country, founded by reformed criminals who forsook piracy and the citizens are descended from pirates, and still retain some of their heritage such as speech, accent, politics.
