The Government of New Assam has decided to establish formal diplomatic relations with newly-discovered neighbouring countries. The Government is eager to have peaceful and prosperous relations with all nations that fit our standards of human, civil, and political rights. Therefore, the First Secretary of State and the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs would like to invite all nations who are interested to open an embassy in our country.
The Location
The embassies of foreign countries will be located in the Glass Palace, a newly-built complex designed to house embassies and other government offices. The Palace is protected by the Special Diplomatic Service of the Central Police, offering great protection from any potential threats. It has a stunning coastal location, so ambassadors can enjoy lovely views from their apartments. There are large public gardens, and the Palace is very close to the main area of New Town with its own private subway line.
All embassies in the Palace have the same layout and space, but they can be customised. Each embassy comes with three parking spaces for cars and a helipad for a helicopter. All of these things can be provided by the nation opening the embassy, or by the Government of New Assam if it would be preferred.
Rules and Regulations
The Government of New Assam wishes to make your ambassador's stay as comfortable as possible, but they must observe certain rules and regulations and we will offer them certain privileges. The key privilege is diplomatic immunity. Your ambassador and their staff will be immune from prosecution for any crime, although diplomatic staff can still be called as witnesses and can be issued parking tickets and other minor things. However, we do reserve the right to expel your ambassador if they commit a serious crime although that does not mean we wish to end diplomatic relations with you.
To keep this privilege, your ambassador must abide by the following rules:
1. Observe all rules within New Assam.
2. Respect Assamian customs.
3. Bring no more than twenty diplomatic staff, ten security staff and ten administrative stuff.
4. Bring no fully automatic weapons or heavy weaponry into New Assam.
