Description of Nation's History: The Acumenian Empire began as many city states that were always fighting and competing with one another. A viking like group of raiders known as the Hodorians kept raiding the coastal city states. In order to combat this. Some of the most powerul city states joined together. And created an oligarchal council of the city states' different kings. They were led by one king who would lead the oligarchy. This oligarchy fought off the Hodorians, and proved quite successful. This new oligharchy was one of the most technologically advanced civilzations of the ancient world. The creation of this new powerful nation scared the other city states into forming new nation-states. These states competed and fought; until through a series of intermarriages between monarchs, most of the states were united under one ruler. That ruler then led a conquest against the remaining states. Creating the Acumenian Empire. In the 1600s a revolution led by the people and Slomehinian Bishop Semaj Oeht deposed of the monarchy/oligarchy. And in place of the oligarchy established a republic. One of the legislative houses(the upper house) is still made up of representatives that made up the oligarchy. It is known as the Counsel. The other house is made up of elected officials.

Description of Nation's History:
Early History - The Unified Isles [An Archipelago of 66 Major Islands, with a lot of mostly unpopulated minor ones] was first settled in between ca. 400 to 550 AD [There were multiple minor, irrelevant Celtic settlements earlier, though] by a varied mixture of Germanic Tribes. Other cultures would mix over in the years to come, most notably Scandinavian and French. Political structure at this time was feudal: Most Isles were ruled by one "Lord", and all the Lords were usually in different phases of feuds with each other. Power shifted to a higher level when some Lords would declare "Jarls" to rule over Petty Kingdoms of multiple Isles. Derived forms of this ancient Jarldoms still serve as Subdivisions for the Modern Isle´ish state.

The Unification - Till about 750 AD most of the Jarls were basically at constant war with each other. This changed when William of Northumberland, one of the most influential Jarls at this time, managed to achieve a sort of hegemony over the other Jarldoms after a prolonged War against Andrew of Kent. In 769 he was elected by "The Great Thing", an assembly of all Jarls, as Supreme Ruler of the Isles, or "King of the Isles and Northern Floates".

The Warring States (801-1836) - The Time following William´s Death in 801 was defined by a state of basically constant Civil War. This is due to multiple reasons:
- Succession Laws were not clear. Some claimed that King was a hereditary office, others claimed that it was an elective office, and others declared that it had been a one-time thing.
- No Jarl or Lord was permanently powerful enough to ensure a long time claim for the Crown.
- Geographical circumstances allowed for easy secession of the Kingdom.
I won't go in the details like the "Highland Wars", or the "Grand Schisma" here, but trust me the history is more detailed than this

The Reunification, The Military Dictatorship and the Imperial Century. (1836-1936) - In 1827, a military officer named Horatio Mercator rebels against "The Establishment" of the constant civil war and power struggles. He manages to fully seized power by 1836 thanks to his innovative military tactics and diplomacy. Horatio, crowned as King Horatio I., ensures his power claim by essentially establishing a military dictatorship. Most civilian offices are controlled by the Military. His tradition is carried on by his Grandson Horatio II. after his death in 1861. This so-called "Imperial Century" comes to an end on the 28th of August 1936 when Horatio II. died, exactly one-hundred years after Horatio I. was crowned.

Recent History - [Changed since last time]. After the death of Horatio II, the Royal Army was thrown into a major crisis: Suddenly a "Republican Front" was rebelling, leading up to the brutal "Christmas Revolution" in the December '36. The Revolution was an initial sucess, the "Reps" could subdue Army Forces, but the Army reinstated their power in the following years, most notably the '64 Coup d'Etat, ending in a stalemate between Republican and Military Forces.
On the 28th of August, 1964, the "Accords of Recouncillation" were signed, that garantueed both the Army and the Republicans independence from the other, and mandated both not to interfere with each others buisness. "Domestic Rights" of both sides were defined and a mediating power between the two, the "Council of High Lords" was installed. Still, both sides remain plotting against each other...

After the death of Horatio II, the Royal Army was thrown into a major crisis: Suddenly a "Republican Front" was rebelling, leading up to the brutal "Christmas Revolution" in the December '36. The Revolution was an initial sucess, the "Reps" could subdue Army Forces, but the Army reinstated their power in the following years, most notably the '64 Coup d'Etat, ending in a stalemate between Republican and Military Forces.
On the 28th of August, 1964, the "Accords of Recouncillation" were signed, that garantueed both the Army and the Republicans independence from the other, and mandated both not to interfere with each others buisness. "Domestic Rights" of both sides were defined and a mediating power between the two, the "Council of High Lords" was installed. Still, both sides remain plotting against each other...

Description of Nation's History: The United Socialist States of Krossa were formed in 1902. Prior to the 'Golden Revolution', a short conflict lasting a month, Krossa was known universally as Unified Districts of Garðavegur. These districts were renamed states after the Golden Revolution. Ojst, Bujl, Rautu, and Vaani are the four states.

Anyways, heres some crumby crap I wrote last night for a factbook. Krossa became communist in 1902 after a civil conflict which lasted a month, and was under the rule of Eckerö Pesonen until 1933. Pesonen was sick from natural causes, suffering from a stroke at the age of 66 that year. However during a private speech his most trusted advisor, Immo Kari, shot him in the shoulder twice with his TT-30. Pesonen died the next morning in the hospital. Immo was charged with a life sentence. Krossa was ruled by a more harsh dictator, Aslak Viitala. During Viitala's pre-world war two reign over 500,000 died in famine while another 165,000 died of disease. In 1938 Krossa began to heal up. WW2 charged in and stopped Krossa in its tracks, so after the war ended, Aslak and the United Communist Republic of Krossa (UCRK) were in a mess of bad things. Processes slowed and never recovered, another 900,000 dying from famine and post war causes. However another 102,000 were killed in Aslak's violent moves for 'recovery', a purge of 80,000 in 1951. However in 1955 a coup knocked Viitala off his feet. The former dictator was imprisoned until 1966, where he died a year later from lung cancer. Back to the coup...The coup dissolved the UCRK and over the next few years four states were assembled by the government. Policies changed and Krossa was now a 'Socialist Republic', of which it has been up to today.
