Psychotic Dictatorship

Postby Cierrida » Sun Sep 10, 2023 6:20 pm

Nation name: The Cierridan People’s Democratic Republic
Government system: Dictatorship of the Proletariat

Is voting mandatory? Yes, all workers must participate in local council assemblies, and all elected delegates from each worker council must participate in municipal decisions etc all the way up to the central committee where everyone there too must cast their decision in a system of democratic centralism
Is private gun ownership mandatory, optional or prohibited? Mandatory, accompanied by the compulsory training in the use of weaponry in every school from a young age
Can citizens be required to serve in the military? All Cierridans, both male and female, serve up to 10 years in active duty(this happens in parallel with university education, so technically only about half that active duty service is actually spent fighting on the front) and afterwards can be called upon the reserves until they are 60
Can citizens be required to serve in a jury? In people’s tribunals, yes
Can citizens be required to perform any other type of service? During the first four year plan, the FCLN had to directly assign millions of citizens to industrial labor in the drive to build an industrial base and mechanize agriculture. Cities along the periphery of the frontline often see large swathes or civilians mobilized in building fortifications as well as transporting needed war or medical supplies, tho this is generally seen as part of the duties of being in the reserves of the military

Is swearing legal? Theres a saying that never heard foul language until you’ve met a Cierridan mine worker, so yeah it’s pretty legal
Is drinking legal? Yes, for everyone above 18. Tho there are limits placed on how much one can drink to ensure sobriety during work, and stricter limits on soldiers during battle, all bars and breweries are directly controlled by the state to enforce this
Is smoking legal? Yes. I mean Premier will most prolly be found with a cigar clenched in his jaw when he dies
Is chewing gum legal? It is rather rare to access it due to lack of nonessential trade, and that there aren’t that many state producers of it. But it is legal, and in more recent years there have been moves to increase the production of chewing gum in a broader effort for advancing mental healthcare
Is jaywalking legal? Technically there is nothing that prohibits it, cars are not that common so you are almost guaranteed to never be hit by one
Are sports legal? They’re an integral aspect of public culture, so yes
Are video games legal? Only ones developed and approved by the Cierridan government. Lack of nonessential trade coupled with disdain towards the powers that a majority of such medium is made in makes most video games unavailable. Still, you can mow down swarms of enemies in the surprisingly extensive set of shooter games produced by the state
Can video games contain sexuality? Absolutely not, such is seen as bourgeois deviance
Can video games contain violence? To a significantly more graphic extent than most other countries’ media. The horrifically brutal defensive war that Cierrida is currently engulfed in, and the fact that before such war(before the revolution) Cierrida was cruelly enslaved as a neocolonial banana republic, there’s very little real innocence that hasn’t been shattered
Is there a curfew for children? There is a curfew for everyone between 23:00 and 07:00
Is there a curfew for adults? See above

Are elementary students required to wear school uniforms? Yes, all Cierridans pretty much wear some sort of uniform pertaining to their occupation. For students, it’s dark green/navy blue uniforms with arm bands colored to denote their grade
Are secondary students required to wear school uniforms? Same as above
Are hats allowed during class? Mariner’s caps are kinda sorta mandatory in many schools to build a revolutionary culture from the youth
Are laptops allowed during class? No, but classrooms usually have a screen or those older desktop computers
Is eating allowed during class? Generally no, unless otherwise approved by the teacher
Is sleeping allowed during class? Same as above

Is corporal punishment legal in schools? To an extent, but it typically doesn’t go beyond a single strike with a ruler. Youth are conditioned from the age they can begin to comprehend language in state ideology through collective raising, which does heavily reduce the amount of disobedience compared to other countries
What percentage of teachers use or support corporal punishment? About half, although the exact statistic(like most statistics from within the rather secretive country) is unknown. The radically progressive social policies espoused by the regime does strongly support an authoritative and socially minded way of raising the youth, and thus most teachers typically oppose unnecessary punishments of students. Strict discipline is nonetheless maintained, but youth are legally meant to be protected from excessive punishment
Is corporal punishment legal in the home? In Cierrida ‘home’ is the whole of the tenement complex that hundreds of families live in and form a community in, so they are more or less public institutions like schools. A similar policy to schools exists
What percentage of parents use or support corporal punishment? Similar to teachers
Can corporal punishment be ordered by a court or judge? Yes
Is corporal punishment used in prisons? Rather extensively. To it varies from the rehabilitation camps where it’s seldom, to the POW camps where it’s not uncommon for prisoners to be beaten to death
Is corporal punishment used in the military? Canings for a variety of misconduct or of suspected disloyalty do happen

Does your nation have the death penalty? Yes. Both judicially, where roughly a thousand death sentences are carried out each year; and extrajudicially with (often brutal) killings of counter-revolutionaries by red guards out in the open
Does your nation have life imprisonment? No actually, anything that warrants a worse punishment than 20 years will be promptly dealt with by execution
Can torture be used to obtain information? Yes, and it is done so frequently
Can torture be used as a punishment? Public beatings are pretty common, so yes
Does your nation have concentration camps? If we mean by like camps to intern an ethnic/racial/religious/sexual group, then very much no. If anything, the cultural revolution has seen a campaign of violence against those with racial/chauvinist prejudice and the promotion of fascist ideas, to which most certainly thousands of people who would likely support ethnic concentration camps have been put in labor camps or killed. Tho many would argue out POW camps can be considered concentration camps due to the immensely harsh conditions
Does your nation have forced labor camps? Yes, our penal system consists of the use of re-education through labor
Does your nation have extermination camps? No

Inoffensive Centrist Democracy

Postby The Infernum » Mon Sep 11, 2023 12:36 am

Nation name: The Infernum
Government system: Feudalism

Is voting mandatory?: There is no voting. Either obey, fight, or die.
Is private gun ownership mandatory, optional or prohibited?: Optional, though recommended. Those without a means of defending themselves don't live very long.
Can citizens be required to serve in the military?: Yes.
Can citizens be required to serve in a jury?: There are no juries.
Can citizens be required to perform any other type of service?: Yes. Demons nobles have absolute authority over commoners.

Is swearing legal?: Yes and common.
Is drinking legal?: Yes, though alcoholic beverages are rare in hell.
Is smoking legal?: Yes, though again, tobacco is rare in hell, though it does have its own local drugs.
Is chewing gum legal?: Yes, once again, chewing gum is something almost unheard of in hell.
Is jaywalking legal?: Yes, at your own risk. Granted, motor vehicles are pretty rare outside of the military.
Are sports legal?: Yes, though demons tend to play different sports than mortals do.
Are video games legal?: Video games do not exist. The laws of physics in hell are sufficiently different that its unlikely that electronics will ever function. At least, not in the way they would in the mortal world.
Can video games contain sexuality?: See above.
Can video games contain violence?: See above
Is there a curfew for children?: No. Childhood only lasts for 6 months for a demon. Those that survive those harsh conditions become adults.
Is there a curfew for adults?: Depends on the location.

Are elementary students required to wear school uniforms?: There are no elementary schools.
Are secondary students required to wear school uniforms?: There are no secondary schools. Academies exist, though uniforms don't. The sheer variation of mutations make creating uniforms kind of a losing battle.
Are hats allowed during class?: Depends on the school, but most likely yes. They probably don't care.
Are laptops allowed during class?: See video games.
Is eating allowed during class?: No. Still happens though.
Is sleeping allowed during class?: No. Well technically yes on account of it coming up so rarely. Falling asleep in an open area is an invitation to get screwed over by somebody.

Is corporal punishment legal in schools?: Yes.
What percentage of teachers use or support corporal punishment?: 100% It is hell after all.
Is corporal punishment legal in the home?: Yes, though families are a pretty rare thing in hell. Most demons come from spawning pits, born from the corpse of their "parent" when they were thrown in.
What percentage of parents use or support corporal punishment?: Actual parenthood in the way a mortal would think of it is irregular enough to not produce useful data.
Can corporal punishment be ordered by a court or judge?: Yes. Usually as a means to force them to swear an oath of servitude.
Is corporal punishment used in prisons?: Long-term prisons are a rare thing in hell. Most criminals are either enslaved or executed.
Is corporal punishment used in the military?: Yes. Generally not to the degree that it makes soldiers unable to fight, though sometimes it helps to make an example out of somebody.

Does your nation have the death penalty?: Yes.
Does your nation have life imprisonment?: No. Considered a waste of resources.
Can torture be used to obtain information?: Yes, all the time. Sometimes the information sought after is "how much entertainment can we get out of torturing you?".
Can torture be used as a punishment?: Yes, all the time.
Does your nation have concentration camps?: Yes.
Does your nation have forced labor camps?: Yes.
Does your nation have extermination camps? Yes.

Nation name: Great Bountiful Empire of the United Turtles, Mushrooms, and Men of TurtleShroom

Government system: Guided, illiberal, theodemocratic confederation under a constitutional monarchy

Is voting mandatory? No.

Is private gun ownership mandatory, optional or prohibited? Optional, but encouraged.

Can citizens be required to serve in the military?
Yes. All male humans, all female turtles, all mushrooms, and members of the physically superior sex of any other species must serve a minimum of six months in mandatory peacetime service upon reaching adulthood, sexual maturation, or otherwise the age of majority. Those unwilling to do the killing themselves are relegated to support roles. Non-citizens are not conscripted, but if they volunteer and serve honorably, they can be granted citizenship for their service. Top-level administrative districts and Parishes may levy additional service time and requirements, but none can leavy more than a total of four years of mandatory service (including the required six months) in a creature's lifetime, unless TurtleShroom is invaded or the person is convicted of a crime.

In the event that TurtleShroom is engaging in an offensive war, such as one of conquest or a preemptive strike, no reason is required to opt out of actually having to kill an enemy; anyone requesting to serve in a support capacity may do so. In a defensive war, this is not always the case, but in all situations, all total conscientious objectors can instead opt for a corvee service in non-military, civilian fields.

Can citizens be required to serve in a jury? Yes. On the imperial level, TurtleShroom only has grand juries, and citizens are compelled to serve in these.

Can citizens be required to perform any other type of service?
Conscientious objectors who cannot even serve in support roles in the military are made to perform civilian corvee services for the same period. To qualify for this, one must either be a member of a religion confirmed to prohibit all acts of violence (e.g. Quakers) for five consecutive years (or to have been in a family who converted within five years), or was born into the religion and remains active*, or three members of clergy of the same must testify as to the sincerity of the conversion.

Is swearing legal? Media published in TurtleShroom has swearing and Taking the Lord's Name In Vain removed from the content prior to publication in the country..

Is drinking legal? Alcohol is Prohibited in TurtleShroom.

Is smoking legal?
Some, but not all, Parishes and other districts permit the smoking of various recreational drugs, usually tobacco. In theory, any smoked drug that can be taken in moderation could be legal within a given district. Currently, no Parish legalizes the smoking of cannabis or nineteenth century style smoked opium. As of writing, Hashhish and its derivatives are lawful in Kingfish, Drook, and Haizsylvania.

Non-fungal drugs may be smoked or consumed by the clergy of an organized religion for the purpose of performing shamanistic rites, but laity cannot use this as a loophole to get high.

Due to the inability to discern grown "magic mushrooms" from a chopped up sapient mushroom with the same substances in him, whosoever is to be found possessing a drug derived from any form of mushroom is to be put to death.

Is chewing gum legal? Yes.

Is jaywalking legal? Yes, but a driver who collides with a jaywalker cannot legally be held responsible for the jaywalker's injury or death.

Are sports legal? Yes, and unrestricted.

Are video games legal? Yes. All video games are screened and edited by the Board of Censors before publication.

Can video games contain sexuality? No.

Can video games contain violence? Yes, but extreme gore like detailed entrails or brain matter (etc.) must be censored down to mere blood.

Is there a curfew for children? Individual Parishes and districts may set one, but there is no imperial curfew.

Is there a curfew for adults? Individual Parishes and districts may set one, but there is no imperial curfew.

Are elementary students required to wear school uniforms? Each schoolhouse sets its own rules, but generally, yes.

Are secondary students required to wear school uniforms? Each schoolhouse sets its own rules, but generally, yes.

Are hats allowed during class? Each schoolhouse sets its own rules, but the general answer is no unless one's religion explicitly requires a hat to be worn as a direct and revealed command (e.g. Sikhs).

Are laptops allowed during class? No.

Is eating allowed during class? Each schoolhouse sets its own rules.

Is sleeping allowed during class? Each schoolhouse sets its own rules.

Is corporal punishment legal in schools? Yes.

What percentage of teachers use or support corporal punishment?
The teachers themselves cannot administer corporal punishment. Only schoolhouse administrators, principals, etc., and employees explicitly designated can administer corporal punishment. Corporal punishment is performed in private and in the presence of two witnesses. The student cannot be laid on the lap of the administrator and must instead be laid over a chair or desk. Corporal punishment in schoolhouses can be administered by the ratten cane, the paddle, or by switch.

Is corporal punishment legal in the home?
Yes. Corporal punishment cannot cause permanent damage, physical trauma, concussions, scars, broken bones, internal bleeding, nor involve extreme heat or cold, nor involve neglecting to feed the child, nor involve chains, whips, fetishism, cells, or physical binding to furniture. These acts constitute child abuse and are punishable by death.

Parental usage of corporal punishment in TurtleShroom is traditionally administered by the switch, the leather strap of a belt, the ratten cane, a sandal, or the open palm, and is done on the buttocks or upper thighs (in humans) or on the back of the shell (in turtles) to minimize risk of damage.

What percentage of parents use or support corporal punishment? Corporal punishment is used by an overwhelming majority of TurtleShroomer parents across all species.

Can corporal punishment be ordered by a court or judge? Yes, via strokes of the ratten cane.

Is corporal punishment used in prisons?
Yes. Historically, many TurtleShroomian prisons used cream pies as a humiliation tactic on the general prison population. In addition, until 2019 AD, prison corporal punishment was to be performed in a way that could not be constituted as flogging by "any reasonable layman observer". Whipping prisoners was legalized on the imperial level in 2019 AD.

Any Parish or district may prohibit or allow corporal punishment within its territory for intrastate crimes, at any time.

Is corporal punishment used in the military?
Before TurtleShroom existed, records showed that the non-human Khanates of the sixteenth century, and the Mongoloids before that, authorized any officer to perform corproal punishment on a subordinate as he saw fit. The Missionaries were the first to end this process in their militias, agreeing to limit it to the courts-martial in 1652 AD.

When the non-human Khanates were absorbed into the Missionary outposts to found TurtleShroom in 1796 AD, all corporal punishment in the military was restricted to a sentence given out by a court-martial after a trial. Only courts-martial can sentence soldiers who have broken military laws or codes to corporal punishment as a punishment. Corporal punishment cannot be administered at-will by an officer. Only an official in serivce of the court-martial, or the court-martial himself, may carry out the corporal punishment.

Until 1969 AD, TurtleShroom prescribed whipping as the sole means of martial corporal punishment. It was switched to caning, and then whipping was once again made an alternative to caning after the Civil War in 2019 AD.

Conscripts can only receive caning. No conscript can be whipped.

For more information on corporal punishment, see here: viewtopic.php?p=10463792#p10463792 .

Does your nation have the death penalty? Yes,

Does your nation have life imprisonment? Yes.

Can torture be used to obtain information? Yes, but only

Can torture be used as a punishment?

Does your nation have concentration camps? No, but TurtleShroom corraled Nekomimis into a Bantustan from 2019 AD to 2023 AD.

Does your nation have forced labor camps?
Forced labor and involuntry servitude is solely for prisoners who have been convicted of a crime. No TurtleShroomian freeman can be subjected to this, and trafficking of sapient beings is a capital crime.

No creature residing in TurtleShroom can be made to perform involuntary or forced labor without due process of law, in which he is convicted of a crime by a court after a fair and impartial trial. No TurtleShroomer, not convicted of a crime by due process, can be forbidden from travelling across Parishional lines.

Does your nation have extermination camps?
The last time we tried to mince sapient horses into horsemeat, we were literally invaded by aliens. NEVER AGAIN.

* = For adherents of organized religions, a creature who misses six consecutive weeks of organized religious services or other applicable acts of corporate worship is classed as "unchurched" in TurtleShroomian demography. What constitutes a service or corporate worship is defined by the religion's teachings, not by the state.

Is voting mandatory? No, but in practice there is a lot of peer pressure to vote and participate in political life, since voting is done on the level of workers' collectives. Habitual non-voters might be seen with suspicion
Is private gun ownership mandatory, optional or prohibited? Optional, surprisingly lax gun laws
Can citizens be required to serve in the military? Only in extreme cases like a general mobilization in the event of total war. Although some regions have workers' militias as a very strong institution with high social pressure to join one
Can citizens be required to serve in a jury? No.
Can citizens be required to perform any other type of service? Through a vote of workers' collectives, yes. But not by state officials unless it's part of a court proceeding

Is swearing legal? Yes.
Is drinking legal? Yes. Some lighter alcohols don't even have any sale limitations (since horses process alcohol very efficiently, and something like a 4-5% cider isn't going to have adverse health effects even on a young foal or even get them significantly drunk)
Is smoking legal? Yes.
Is chewing gum legal? Yes.
Is jaywalking legal? There isn't robust legislation on this due to the general haphazard state of vehicle infrastructure and legislation (cars and highways are relatively rare since most ponies prefer to go by hoof). But putting others in observable danger by reckless jaywalking may be prosecuted as a misdemeanor
Are sports legal? Yes, and quite popular.
Are video games legal? Yes, with minor ideological censorship (mostly advisories and ratings biased against "bourgeois propaganda" that get ignored by everypony anyway)
Can video games contain sexuality? Yes, with suitable age ratings.
Can video games contain violence? Yes, with suitable age ratings.
Is there a curfew for children? No.
Is there a curfew for adults? No.

Are elementary students required to wear school uniforms? No, and they generally go without clothes anyway. But members of the Cutie Mark Pioneers are required to wear red neckties and sometimes berets to official gatherings, and losing one's necktie is considered shameful.
Are secondary students required to wear school uniforms? No, and they generally go without clothes anyway. But members of the Cutie Mark Pioneers are required to wear red neckties and sometimes berets to official gatherings, and losing one's necktie is considered shameful.
Are hats allowed during class? No regulation but generally teachers will ask to remove one
Are laptops allowed during class? Yes, and provided by schools for free.
Is eating allowed during class? Yes, unless it's in a disruptive way
Is sleeping allowed during class? No.

Is corporal punishment legal in schools? Illegal.
What percentage of teachers use or support corporal punishment? Zero.
Is corporal punishment legal in the home? Technically, but it's unpopular and societally looked down upon, and can be a crime if it causes lasting bodily harm or psychological distress. The Cutie Mark Pioneers are known to carry out campaigns and "struggle sessions" against parents suspected of using corporal punishment.
What percentage of parents use or support corporal punishment? Low to negligible
Can corporal punishment be ordered by a court or judge? Yes. One of the popular punishments since the abolition of prisons and the old criminal code is a "slap geas" - having a magically animated flyswatter or similar object follow the convict wherever they go and administer blows if they violate the court's prescriptions. Minor physical bullying like getting pied or put in a dunk tank can also be a part of public "struggle sessions" which are used as punishment for minor crimes.
Is corporal punishment used in prisons? No.
Is corporal punishment used in the military? Explicitly no.

Does your nation have the death penalty? No. In truly outstanding circumstances, individuals deemed as extremely dangerous to the public as a whole may be magically frozen or petrified, which is sort of a "reversible death penalty" that can be undone by the same magic. But executions are expressly forbidden.
Does your nation have life imprisonment? No.
Can torture be used to obtain information? No.
Can torture be used as a punishment? No.
Does your nation have concentration camps? No.
Does your nation have forced labor camps? The campaign of prison abolition has seen traditional prisons be replaced with "Collective Organized Labor Therapy (COLT)" camps or settlements, colloquially called "Glue-lags". They aren't strictly forced labor camps as prisoners don't expressly have to work, but are organized in such a way as to encourage work and create strong peer pressure to participate in work programs as the luxuries that inmates receive are proportional to their collective work output.
Does your nation have extermination camps? No.

  • Nation name: The Onigiri Enclave
  • Government system: Direct Democracy (There is no legislative body. Instead every citizen is their own legislator, able to propose new bills, discuss and amend bills, and vote bills into laws, as well as many other things typically associated with legislative bodies in so-called "Western democracies." They can also vote for El Presidente, the head of the executive branch of The Onigiri Enclave, who then nominates individuals to head the various Executive Offices, which the citizenry can discuss & vote to confirm.)

  • Is voting mandatory?: No.
  • Is private gun ownership mandatory, optional or prohibited?: Any pistol, revolver, submachine gun, machine gun, anti-tank rifle, anti-materiel rifle, and minigun with a caliber equal to or greater than 12.7 x 108mm (.50 BMG) are legal to own and carry in public as long as they are not concealed, as well as shotguns, automatic shotguns, and punt guns with a bore of at least 8 Gauge or lower are legal to own (meaning no gun with 10, 12, 16 Gauge, etc.), and also flamethrowers, grenade launchers, rocket launchers, and small scale WMDs & doomsday weapons (such as tactical nuclear weapons) up to a yield of 2 kilotons are permitted. Small-caliber firearms are EXPRESSLY forbidden though.
  • Can citizens be required to serve in the military?: No. In fact, we are continuing to try and find ways to reduce the numbers needed to be enlisted in the armed forced. So far, we've reduced our armed forces down to just 666 members.
  • Can citizens be required to serve in a jury?: There are no trials or courtrooms in The Onigiri Enclave, with all punishment meted out immediately by law enforcement. However, to become a police officer, one is required to have a law degree and adhere to a legal Code of Ethics the same as most foreign prosecutors, attorneys, and judges.
  • Can citizens be required to perform any other type of service?: Citizens are encouraged to kill jaywalkers on sight, before they can wreak devastation and mayhem.

  • Is swearing legal?: Yes. The Onigiri Enclave has freedom of speech enshrined in its constitution.
  • Is drinking legal?: Yes, but one must be 22 to be allowed to drink, and locations that serve alcohol must follow and pass stringent inspections and checks.
  • Is smoking legal?: Smoking is wholly banned, and namely tobacco. Cannabis, peyote, psilocybin, LSD, and PCP are 100% legal for all citizens, as long as one imbibes them in a manner other than smoking them.
  • Is chewing gum legal?: No... I mean, uh, why? Why would anyone even ban that? Banning something as innocuous as chewing gum just feels petty.
  • Is jaywalking legal?: In the Onigiri legal system, crimes are rated in a system that goes from Class E offenses to Class A offenses. However, jaywalking is the sole Class S crime, rated as even more severe and reprehensible than any other crime, including domestic violence, sexual assault, & hate crimes (Class A), murder, treason, tax fraud, & counterfeiting Fruity Pebbles (Class B), attempted murder, manslaughter, assault with a deadly weapon, & overdue library books (Class C), etc. Not only is it official policy for law enforcement to execute jaywalkers on sight, but citizens are freely permitted to assist, legally allowed to use and all force to exterminate those who jaywalk with "any and all force, even methods that could destroy the entirety of all reality and the multiverse, in the name of stopping jaywalkers... as so long as they don't jaywalk themselves in the process."
  • Are sports legal?: There are no prohibitions on sports, but more often than not, Riceballs tend to prefer e-sports over physical sports, with the only exemptions being so-called "winter sports" like skiing, bobsledding, luge, and in particular, the biathlon. The people do also like to spectate and participate in death battles. It is common for each major city to have at least one Thunderdome.
  • Are video games legal?: The answer above kind of answers this question as well. Obviously, if Riceballs' favorite kind of sports are e-sports, logically video games are 100% legal.
  • Can video games contain sexuality?: Yes. This goes back to constitutional guarantees on free speech cited above.
  • Can video games contain violence?: Yes. Same reasons as above.
  • Is there a curfew for children?: No.
  • Is there a curfew for adults?: No.

  • Are elementary students required to wear school uniforms?: No. In fact, outside of the military, uniforms are never enforced in any measure of Onigiri society, as this harkens back to free speech rights. Even in the military, there are no regulations regarding the length, color, style, etc. of hair and beards, and such regulations are actually prohibited by Onigiri law.
  • Are secondary students required to wear school uniforms?: Again, no.
  • Are hats allowed during class?: Headwear of any form is wholly permitted, as some cultures have customs associated with headwear. Also, Onigiri culture itself is highly fond of giant hats.
  • Are laptops allowed during class?: Laptops, desktops, and cybernetic systems associated with cyber-brain cases are permitted.
  • Is eating allowed during class?: Yes. As certain people, namely those with dietary requirements, as well certain individuals of non-human species, may be biologically required to to snack at certain intervals for health reasons. We just ask they do so in a manner that doesn't interrupt class.
  • Is sleeping allowed during class?: It isn't NECESSARILY punished, but it is frowned upon. However, exemptions are given to transfer students from foreign nations to allow them a grace period to adapt to the schedule of Onigiri schools, which typically hold classes from 8:30 PM to 2:30 AM.

  • Is corporal punishment legal in schools?: No, but there is no distinction between children and adults in terms of Onigiri law regarding criminal punishment, and those who commit acts such as bullying get a warning the first time, and then any repeat offenses typically results in them having their limbs ripped from their bodies, their eyes gouged out and eardrums ruptured, a prohibition on having these actions repaired in any way, and they have to pay a reparation fine of Ƭ250,000 ($432,500 USD) to those they wronged, as well as serve 24 months of community service.
  • What percentage of teachers use or support corporal punishment?: None. They view it as cruel and unusual punishment.
  • Is corporal punishment legal in the home?: No. Such actions are in fact classified as domestic abuse, a Class A crime, and typically result in immediate termination of offenders.
  • What percentage of parents use or support corporal punishment?: None, because it is a Class A crime.
  • Can corporal punishment be ordered by a court or judge?: No, namely because there no courts or judges, at least in the sense most foreign nations interpret them. Law enforcement agents are de facto judges and executioners in Onigiri society, and punishments for repeat offenses often happen on sight.
  • Is corporal punishment used in prisons?: There are no prisons. Punishments for second offenses are immediate, and are of the degree that such catastrophic harm comes to the offender that any possibility of a third offense is rendered null and void, often in the most sadistic manner possible.
  • Is corporal punishment used in the military?: No. That would be cruel and unusual punishment.

  • Does your nation have the death penalty?: For those that commit a crime more than once, typically the punishment for such repeat offenders is capital, and sometimes things worse than death.
  • Does your nation have life imprisonment?: Again, there are no prisons.
  • Can torture be used to obtain information?: No. That's just cruel, plus it has been proven in nearly all cases information acquired via torture is unreliable.
  • Can torture be used as a punishment?: While most of our punishments typically involve what many foreigners claim are over-the-top displays of death and maiming, torture is NOT one of those things. That'd just be wrong.
  • Does your nation have concentration camps?: No. Concentration camps would fall under the purview of hate crimes, a Class A crime under Onigiri law.
  • Does your nation have forced labor camps?: This would akin to the concept of prison, which don't exist in The Onigiri Enclave, so no.
  • Does your nation have extermination camps?: Given the context that extermination camps are viewed by the world at large, these would be viewed in the same light as concentration camps, as such camps would only exist to eradicate a group of individuals, which, again, would be considered a hate crime, a Class A crime, and no quarter will be given to ANYONE that establish such facilities.

The Onigiri Enclave is a highly progressive scientific largely secularist nation welcoming to all (as so long as you aren't a bee or a jaywalker).
