Would be a lot more practical and effective if the two tube system was just replaced by a singular tube. The M57 Pilum is such an example of that considering that it replaced the SPNKR by 2558. It's lighter and cheaper thanks to less complexity of the operating system.

I think the main issue was that it did nothing that a normal bazooka couldn't do and was far heavier and more complex. I do like the idea, but I can see why it never went anywhere. Why bother with one of these at company level when you can just have guys with shoulder-fired weapons in each platoon, or even squad?

As others have noted the easiest weapon to issue your crew is your standard rifle with a shorter barrel. The P90 is an alright weapon for them to be armed with, so you don't need to change if you don't want to.

•Cartridge may be realworld or fictional.
•Must be suitable for big game hunting c.1895.
•Kinda want something that's at least .45 caliber.
•Must be able to penetrate at least 15mm of armor at 100m.
•Wadcutter-esque rounds would be acceptable, because reversed bullets.
