Does your nation have a governent?: Yes. (stick around if it doesn’t - anarchies can still have privacy)
Do your laws recognize, either by law or legal precedent, a right to privacy?: Yes, for citizens.
Is there a right to privacy within the home?: Yes, for citizens.
Within one’s vehicle?: Yes. Vehicles are considered to be domiciles for most intents and purposes.
Are a person’s personal belongings secure from unreasonable search and seizure?: Yes, for citizens.
Is probable cause required to search a person’s vehicle without a warrant?: Yes, for citizens. The bar for probably cause is quite high for warrantless searches.
Is probable cause required to search a person’s belongings without a warrant??: Ditto.
Is probable cause required to search a person’s home without a warrant?: Ditto.
What is the definition of probable cause in your nation?: “a more than tenable amount of suspicion, supported by convincing circumstancial factors to justify a cautious and percipient person’s belief that certain facts are very likely true.”
[] Direct knowledge of ongoing crime []51% or higher likelihood that evidence of crime is present? [x] Something else; Let's say a 75% likelyhood that evidence of crime is present.
What level of proof is required to get a search warrant?: Substantial. Depending on the jurisdiction and type of crime, the evidence is submitted to a judge alongside the request for a search warrant, which is then subsequently reviewed by said judge.
is a warrant required to access a person’s email or cloud service account?: Yes, for citizens.
Is a warrant required to listen in on a person’s phone calls?: Ditto.
Is a warrant required to listen in on cellphone calls?: Ditto.
Is a warrant required to track the location of a person’s vehicle?: Ditto. (Note that this means tracking the vehicle via a physical tracker, tracking via speed cameras filming a public road doesn't require a warrant.)
Is a warrant required for the police to track a person’s cellphone?: Ditto.
Is it legal for a person’s parent or guardian to track their cellphone or vehicle without their consent?: The law is silent on the matter, so it is presumably legal.
Is a warrant required to track a person’s online activities?: Yes, for citizens.
Is a warrant required to install keyloggers or other equipment on a person’s computer?: Ditto.
Are no-knock warrants legal? If yes, in what situations? Exceptionally rare. Generally speaking, only very serious Realm-level crimes such as treason or sensitive hostage rescue missions warrant the issuance of such warrants, as Law Enforcement is otherwise constitutionally mandated to announce their presence upon executing a warrant.
Are there state-operated CCTV systems monitoring common people in public?: Very few, and those are almost exclusively for recording and monitoring the indoor areas of public buildings.
Is it legal for police officers to surveil a person in public without a warrant?: Depends greatly on the method of surveilance. Merely visually following someone in public does not require a warrant by itself.
Are Internet providers required to retain clients’ internet use data?: No.
If yes, for how many years?: N/A
Are citizens allowed to use strong encryption?: Yes.
Are citizens allowed to use secure networking measures such as TOR or similar technologies?: Yes.
Are stop-and-frisk procedures legal?: Generally no.
Are there metal detectors at the entrances of shopping malls and sporting events in your nation?: Generally no.
Are there state-operated microphone systems in the streets of your nation’s major cities?: No.
Are drug tests required by law or regulation for regular employment in your nation? (not work in the spy services): No, although both the Realm and State government have a zero-tolerance policy on certain substances that are otherwise legal.
Are drug tests required in schools?: No.
Are drug tests required for receiving welfare?: N/A
Are schools equipped with CCTV cameras?: Generally no.
Are schools permitted to monitor students within their own homes? No.
Does your nation have a national ID? No.
Is an ID required to rent an apartment? Not by law.
An hotel room? Ditto.
To buy a car? Ditto.
To rent a car? Ditto.
To buy a plane or train ticket? Ditto.
To buy a firearm? This is a special case. No for male citizens of the Realm, anomalous for the rest.
To buy alcohol? No. Note that the vast majority of stores still request some sort of identification as selling alcohol to those below the age of 15 is generally speaking illegal.
To buy medication? Ditto.
To buy pets? No.
To buy recreational drugs? Yes.
Is your society a cashless society? No.
Does your society have gun registration? No. Firearms registration is considered unconstitutional.
Vehicle registration? Generally speaking, no.
Bicycle registration? No.
Dog registration? Anomalous.
Is it legal in your society to use a fake name to rent an hotel room? Not illegal.

Hello there. I'm Simonia of MJT.
Our nation has twenty-one provinces, four regions, and four capitals.
And before you ask, Pink Castle City is called that for its pink castle, Pink Castle City's main building.
Simonian News: We’re leaving for a few days | Simonia joins NationVision 30! | We’re getting ready for a mass story release and are accepting story ideas! | NS down, fog wall surrounds Simonia-NationStates | Vonum shoutout!
Our IC puppets are Payonia and Floricia-Leanna.
The regions were created when they were unclaimed.
Our three-letter code is SMN.
Expect few updates from my YT.
Fascists and Unmet Player ruined NS.
Do any of you remember The Federal Republic of Simonia?
