claim by enfaru one post above your claim, claimed the southern most hex. It isn't added on map yet, next update probably. Only one hex to relocate, that I see at least.

I would like to expand into areas shaded teal within pink circled hex labeled 1 and 2.

I interpret this as under a hex of land area and in connected hexes across inland sea.
If I am mistaken in how hex is counted, and water area counts toward hex, I will claim hex 1 this month and hex 2 next month. If I'm correct in counting land area, but wrong about connection across inland sea, I will claim hex 1, and pink shaded area of hex 3.

All these areas are under UFO inc's air claim. I do not wish to interfere with this and will let puppet stay hovering above me, assuming air rights would go to me if UFO inc ever drops claim over my hexes.

This expansion claim will if nothing else bring clarity for future.

The assumption that "air control" would automatically default to the owner of the land territory is an incorrect assumption, air territory is different. We maintain our discretion whether to recognize the claim on our map.

Yes. Select the hex or partial hex for your portal and it can be claimed. Surrounding lands can easily be deemed under your de-facto control due to influence.

After some time away, the SC Cartography committee has returned alive to update the map, mostly we see only cleaning needing to be done. There have been several telegrams delivered to us, however we cannot and will not act on them, instead such requests should be posted to the map thread proper (here). Below we will detail all of the changes we have made.

This is my claim, basically two hexes diangonally placed.this is my resort claim. My primary claim is for land out of the known map. I tried my best to find where the known world is on the big map and select something within th vicinity but not a continent away. Again only 1 to 2 hexes placed diagnally. If I marked to far away, please let me know or if my out of the known world claim is to much pm me.

Regarding the first claim, there is no land in that location that can be claimed. There is an immense difficulty attached to "creating land" one these types of maps as they are created using a special algorithm that allows for zooming in and out of the map to an extensive degree. If you would like to request floating territory you are welcome to do so.

However, you have stated that your claim relates to land outside of the known map. The distances involved in the scale of this map are of no small consequence. On the 10kx5k map, there is a scale of 6.25km² per pixel. This means that each map segment is 25000km wide and 12500km tall. The circumference of the earth is approximately 40,000km. You would effectively be asking to never come into contact with anyone ever.

Our position on this is quite clearly stated in the first post as well as our reasoning. Given than there is plenty of territory available on the current map, we are unwilling to consider adding additional territory at this time.
