This law came about due to the notoriously fascist politics of the Era of Oppression, and various parties and revolts in its favor. While people who claim to be fascist, but not Nazi, in nature can generally get away with it, sometimes they are still treated rather harshly by the populace and the police force.

After the war ended with a resounding UCE victory, they have continued to exist mostly unencumbered and try to gain representation in legislatures across the Colonies. It is not very active outside of the internet, where they engage in trolling fascist forums, and a few colonies where movements seen as fascist have gained attention. Adrasa's founding "party" was originally 'fascist' in the sense that they were hyper-nationalist (ultra-nationalist, if you'd prefer), one-party political system believers that held the idea that there should be a 'military citizenship' that carried over from the country they originally seceded from. However, they changed their tune once things started turning out rather poorly, and became less reactionary in their policies, and more liberal in their thinking. This has continued today, though progress as far as that is concerned is stagnant.

Neo-fascism is alive in the country, and the members of such groups can be heard over the radio, often denouncing the Adrasan government for scaling the military back into the Defense Force it is now, along with questioning why immigrants are flooding in, denouncing said immigrants, and the occasional tip on gun care that corresponds to a question asked by a listener. They occasionally hold demonstrations in the parks, which a few citizens make a habit of video-taping and posting it on social media for giggles.

More than a few have militant wings that have had run-ins with the police and ASDF before.

There are sympathizers in the Senate, yes. They're few and far between, as only a few groups aren't militant. However, there is a conspiracy site that labels certain politicians as "Fasci-Sympathizers" based on quotes mined from speeches and what they had for breakfast.

One famous group, known as the Adrasan Nationalist Community, occupied a number of government buildings in an armed insurgency, with their one high-profile take-over being of a Krasdvadan embassy. The KAF and ASDF performed a joint operation to rout them out after the Krasdvadan representative, visiting the embassy on a political trip, was executed on the roof. The invaders were killed, and the group was hunted down to extinction by the police and ASDF. Few real militant groups remain, but a number of them like to talk big game.

How active is the anti-fascist (antifa) movement in your country?

About as active as the "fascist" groups. One such group, known as Xenophilia, took to arms against another Fascist group of militants that they believed were planning to bomb an embassy. They occupied the large estate, and the situation escalated into a firefight. The police arrived to see that a number of fighters on either side had been killed, and the ones that were alive were arrested. An investigation revealed a conspiracy to car bomb the local court house.

Xenophilia fighters were still charged with first-degree murder, manslaughter, and weapons violations. The fascist group survivors were charged with conspiracy under terrorism laws.
