None

What is the government's involvement with religion, in at least one sentence?
The Sovereign Empire have ensured Freedom of Religion in the current 1925 Imperial Constitution.

What is the government's attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence?
Under the Constitution, the government is indifferent of the religions citizens follow. Religious organizations are considered Corporate Entities in the Imperial Tax Code.

What is the popular attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence?
Public opinion is largely divided towards Mother Goddess Worship. It is criticized by religious conservatives and far-right nationalists, and women and young women who don't feel strongly about it; in general, however, Mother Goddess Worship is viewed in a favorable light.

Is Mother Goddess Worship able to be legally practiced?
Yes, as stated in the 1925 Constitution, Religions are free to be practiced so long as it does not interferes with matters of the State.

Is Mother Goddess Worship currently practiced by any of the population? If yes, was it adopted independently through learning, or introduced by Shrailleeni humanitarians?
The religion is practiced by some of the population. Unfortunately, the census does not give percentages on every religion practiced in the Sovereign Empire. The religion was first noted in 1998 before being considered a taxable entity in 2005. A large majority of its adherents are currently found in Luminaa Island, presumably introduced by humanitarians.

What are your government's attitudes toward homosexual marriage and matriarchy in general?
Same-Sex Marriages are legal, enacted into law in 1991. Homosexuality is seen as normal. As for the societal organization, the Sovereign Empire is largely a patriarchal society, and it intends to keep it that way.

Nation Name: The Empire of Victorious Decepticons
Current Head of State: Megatron
Current Head of Government: Megatron
Government Type: Autocratic Military Dictatorship
Official Religion: Megatronism
Practiced Religions: Megatronism
Religious Worship by Percentage: 100% Megatronist
Could a religion in your nation be considered for inclusion in the umbrella of Mother Goddess Worship? If yes, please fill out additional questionnaire. No

What is the government's involvement with religion, in at least one sentence? The government now mandates that all citizens adhere to Megatronism. All infidels are to be melted down. Therefore, if anyone follows a different religion, they're not about to admit it.

What is the government's attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence? It seems like an interesting religion, and one that helps to rectify the massive skew towards patriarchal religions among biologicals. However, its very founding concepts are inseparable from the biology of the higher animals. This makes it so that it will never resonate with us, who are built rather than born.

What is the popular attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence? It is too little-known to even have a popular attitude towards it.

Is Mother Goddess Worship able to be legally practiced? No. Only Megatronism is allowed.

Is Mother Goddess Worship currently practiced by any of the population? If yes, was it adopted independently through learning, or introduced by Shrailleeni humanitarians? No. In fact, we'd never heard of this version of Mother Goddess worship until now. Only our experts in foreign history even know of the concept at all.

What are your government's attitudes toward homosexual marriage and matriarchy in general? Homosexual marriage - the government believes that humans have an unhealthy fixation on sexuality and often uses its focus on the specifics of marriage for anti-human propaganda. For matriarchy, we think that it is as bad as patriarchy in that it is likely to deprive a society of meaningful contributions from approximately 50% of its population. More moderate versions would be better, but would still create drag. We believe that a gender-blind meritocracy is best. And even better yet, your nation (and every other one) should be run by the genderless - specifically, us Decepticons!

Postby Esperance International » Tue Feb 02, 2016 6:33 am

Nation Name: Esperance International

Current Head of State: Esperance International is a humanitarian aid agency headquartered on a private island in international waters. Like the Holy See, it is generally regarded as a "sui generis entity possessing international personality" - while the equal of states, it is not itself a state. Accordingly, it has no head of state.

Current Head of Government: High Commissioner Catherine Gladwell is the highest-ranking official of Esperance International, and so functions as a head of government.

Government Type: Meritocracy, for lack of a better term; promotion is available to all Esperance International employees on the basis of merit, and since EI is an organization rather than a country, it has only employees rather than citizens.

Official Religion: None.

Practiced Religions: Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Judaism, Confucian, Taoist, Kisekedo, Vinnispakr, Mother Goddess Worship, others.

Religious Worship by Percentage: 22% Protestant (United Churches), 20% Buddhist, 17% Roman Catholic, 16% Muslim, 13% Agnostic/Atheist, 5% Jewish, 2% Confucian, 2% Vinnispakr, 1% Kisekedo, 1% Taoist, 1% Mother Goddess Worship

What is the government's involvement with religion, in at least one sentence?

The right of all employees to free exercise of religion is guaranteed by the Articles of Incorporation. The following excerpt containing more information is taken from this source.

Esperance International recruits employees from all over the world, and so Esperancers belong to every religion under the sun - and, in more than a few cases, to none at all. The ROLE OF RELIGION in Esperance International's institutional culture is thus complex, to say the least. Religious identity is not necessarily seen as a private matter; no Esperancer is very shy about identifying his faith to a co-worker. But it is seen as a personal matter; efforts to proselytize or argue over doctrine are regarded as being in terribly poor taste. There is a general Esperancer belief that all religions share a certain ethical least-common-denominator that encourages kindness and altruism; this "spiritual tradition" is frequently alluded to in various ways in Esperancer public life. Finally, since most Esperancers live and work outside New Prospect, their religious communities are separate from their employment: most Esperancers attend whatever synagogues, mosques, churches, or temples are available in the towns where they are assigned. For most employees of Esperance International, therefore, their faith is part of their personal identity, but not deeply embedded in the institutional culture of Esperance itself.

But Esperance International has always believed in providing for the spiritual needs of its employees, and so it maintains the CHAPLAIN'S OFFICE, a department within the Employee Affairs Commission. The Chaplain's Office is responsible for providing religious leadership for Esperancers who live and work on New Prospect, and for providing religious support for Esperancers assigned to countries where local faith communities in their traditions do not exist (Sikh chaplains, for example, are assigned to the Esperance station in Defese). The Chaplain's Office also serves as the leadership body for the United Churches, and acts as a forum for interfaith dialogue within Esperance and between religious groups in the larger world. In general, the Office is well-regarded by most Esperancers, seen as a bastion of religious tolerance and ecumenical cooperation - though it is occasionally the object of criticism from religious conservatives and militant secularists within the organization. But with more than three thousand religious professionals from every major faith tradition, the Chaplain's Office remains the central institution of Esperance International's religious culture.

What is the government's attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence?

Esperance International, as an institution, has no official position on this or any religion. Unofficially, the EI leadership tends to see Mother Goddess Worship as admirable in its humanitarian zeal, but questionable in that its matriarchal doctrine may lead to discrimination and ultimately human rights violations.

What is the popular attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence?

As it is practiced by Esperancers, Mother Goddess Worship is seen as an admirable faith that is wholly compatible with EI's values and mission. Attitudes are more ambiguous toward Mother Goddess Worship as it is practiced in the Shrailleeni Empire; the faith's humanitarian zeal is respected, but it is seen as potentially discriminatory and authoritarian.

Is Mother Goddess Worship able to be legally practiced? Yes.

Is Mother Goddess Worship currently practiced by any of the population? If yes, was it adopted independently through learning, or introduced by Shrailleeni humanitarians? Yes. Approximately 24,000 Esperance International employees currently practice Mother Goddess Worship. Of these, most were born and raised in the Shrailleeni Empire before becoming employees of Esperance International. The remainder are converts.

What are your government's attitudes toward homosexual marriage and matriarchy in general? Restrictions on homosexual marriage are seen as a violation of freedom of marriage, a fundamental human right under the New Prospect Convention on Human Rights (Chapter Four, Article 16). Matriarchy is also seen as a violation of human rights; it violates the right to freedom from discrimination and the right to equal political participation (New Prospect Convention, Chapter Three, Articles 24-26 and Chapter Four, Article 5).

Current Head of State: Queen ANASTASIA Elizabeth johns
Current Head of Government: Prime Minister Anastasia Elizabeth Johns
Government Type: Meritocratic democracy.
Official Religion: None (Secular state)
Practiced Religions: Religio Niciae (Greco-Roman Pantheon), Christianity, Animism, Shinto
Religious Worship by Percentage: No Data
Could a religion in your nation be considered for inclusion in the umbrella of Mother Goddess Worship? If yes, please fill out additional questionnaire.
We don't collect data about the religious activities of individual citizens or meddle in these matters beyond what is necessary to maintain law and order but you are welcome to come and visit and see for yourself if any religions are willing to do so. Some of the goddess cults of Religio Niciae may be interested.

What is the government's involvement with religion, in at least one sentence?
We are neutral on matters of religion aside from banning religions that encourage or require people to break our laws or religions that seek to overthrow the state and replace it with a theocracy.

What is the government's attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence?
We really don't have an opinion as long as you mind your own business and obey the law and stay out of politics.

What is the popular attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence?
Pretty neutral, most people are agnostic or don't talk about religion that much.

Is Mother Goddess Worship able to be legally practiced?
From the information you have provided there is no reason for it to be illegal, so it is legal.

Is Mother Goddess Worship currently practiced by any of the population? If yes, was it adopted independently through learning, or introduced by Shrailleeni humanitarians?
We don't collect data about the religious preferences of our citizens.

What are your government's attitudes toward homosexual marriage and matriarchy in general?
The Prime minister/Queen has 80 wives and 10 husbands and 10 spouses of other genders, so it is safe to say homosexual marriage is legal. We tend to frown on any philosophy that seeks to elevate anyone into an unearned position of power , we are egalitarians. But there is no penalty for having an opinion, you have the right to be wrong on such matters. our nation is 95% female owing to GEMs almost being a single gender post-human species there are a few male GEMs owning to a design flaw early in GEM production that made male GEMs nonviable this has since been corrected, but there is still a major gender imbalance. Could a religion in your nation be considered for inclusion in the umbrella of Mother Goddess Worship? If yes, please fill out additional questionnaire. Absolutely not.

What is the government's involvement with religion, in at least one sentence? The government is looking to stamp out all religion, as it has done nothing but create trouble.

What is the government's attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence? They think it is very silly, but perhaps less silly than "Almighty father" worship.

What is the popular attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence? "Why?"

Is Mother Goddess Worship able to be legally practiced? Absolutely not

Is Mother Goddess Worship currently practiced by any of the population? If yes, was it adopted independently through learning, or introduced by Shrailleeni humanitarians? No, as the idea never popped up. Even if you were to send missionaries here, good luck getting through the trans-universal barrier!

What are your government's attitudes toward homosexual marriage and matriarchy in general? Homosexual marriage is legal (with some grumbling about it from our older, more conservative politicians) and Matriarchy is currently a hot debate topic. Our nation was founded by a woman, but has been ruled by her sons, grandsons, and great-grandsons ever since. It's not that we aren't against women leaders. It's just that the Imperial family has yet to give Wanda a daughter.

Could a religion in your nation be considered for inclusion in the umbrella of Mother Goddess Worship? If yes, please fill out additional questionnaire.

No

What is the government's involvement with religion, in at least one sentence?

The government does not involve itself in religion though there are political parties based upon religious ideals.

What is the government's attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence?

The government has no official stance on Mother Goddess Worship or any other religion for that matter. Whatever faith people practice is not their concern unless it causes real harm to the nation.

What is the popular attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence?

Popular attitudes are mostly neutral. Mother Goddess Worship is viewed as something curious and exotic, much like the people of Shrailleeni.

Is Mother Goddess Worship able to be legally practiced?

Yes. Freedom of religion is one of the oldest and most cherished political institutions in Wielkilas.

Is Mother Goddess Worship currently practiced by any of the population? If yes, was it adopted independently through learning, or introduced by Shrailleeni humanitarians?

It is possible that a small number of new agers have latched on to Mother Goddess worship and go dancing amongst the trees under the light of the full moon.

What are your government's attitudes toward homosexual marriage and matriarchy in general?

Within the past few years, homosexual marriages were given officiality and rights equal to heterosexual marriages. Matriarchy is seen as a cultural anomaly that requires the training of diplomats and other officials working abroad in a different fashion than is traditional. Matriarchy is not viewed as threatening and is treated as such.

Nation Name: Kingdom of the United Turtles, Mushrooms, and Men of TurtleShroom
Current Head of State: King Maven Outtacountry, King Gariwald Preach, King Jesse Rod (currently deposed under house arrest, as of writing)
Current Head of Government: As of writing, One Star General Bubba Bubbavich Long II (by coup d'etat)
Government Type: Officially, a constitutional theodemocratic monarchy, but as of writing, under a military junta.
Official Religion: Southern Baptist Christianity ("official" being defined as receiving state subsidies, nothing more)
Practiced Religions: The largest religions in TurtleShroom are Christianity as a whole (roughly 80%, with about eighty percent of that actually practicing the tenents of the faith) and the TS Rite of the Yue Shrine (10%). Tengrism (0.1%) also exists, and the rest are spread out among other world religions, ending with Agnosticism and simple Theism/Deism. Atheism is extremely rare in TurtleShroom because Agnosticism is preferred.
Religious Worship by Percentage: It is believed that about eighty five percent of TurtleShroom's population is an active practioner of a religion and actually follows the explicit tenants of its faith.

What is the government's involvement with religion, in at least one sentence? The government subsidizes all orthodox Southern Baptist Christian churches equally with the intent of them providing welfare for the poor and needy, and distributing it among non-Baptist churches. Satanism, Pastafarianism, Scientology, and all forms of magic, witchcraft, or sorcery are outlawed. "Parody religions" are seen as secular attempts to defraud innocent people and are prosecuted accordingly.
All other religions are allowed to exist, prolestyze, and worship as they see fit.

What is the government's attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence? Any legitimate and sincere religion that does not practice sorcery is allowed to exist and prolestyze unconditionally in TurtleShroom. They will also enjoy absolute tax exemption. Human sacrifice is punishable by death, but sacrifice of livestock (sheep, goats, cattle, chickens, etc. etc.) is permitted if hygienic standards are observed after the sacrifice. Be weary: shrine prostitution and sex out of wedlock is illegal, and alcohol cannot be used in worship for any reason. Sodomy and buggery are illegal.

What is the popular attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence? The population has never heard of it. There are no known observers of the Mother sect in TurtleShroom.

Is Mother Goddess Worship able to be legally practiced? Yes, unconditionally and with tax exemption. Just remember to follow the laws of the country.

Is Mother Goddess Worship currently practiced by any of the population? If yes, was it adopted independently through learning, or introduced by Shrailleeni humanitarians? No, but you may lawfully send missionaries to spread your gospel. Just make sure you inform the government so they can be tracked and monitored for any illegal practices like sex-based worship, sorcery, or human sacrifice.

What are your government's attitudes toward homosexual marriage and matriarchy in general? Homosexuality (the deed of sodomy) and homosexual marriage are outlawed. Matriarchy is greatly adored by the sentient turtles. Those turtles enforced total gender equality on the human population when TurtleShroom was founded in 1796 AD as a condition of entering the new state. Although humans are very patriarchial and thus prefer male turtles, turtles continue to be female-dominant in home life, because female turtles are three times larger and stronger than male turtles.

An Official Message from the Enlightened Matriarchy of the Shrailleeni Empire
Imperial Matriarchy of Foreign Affairs

From Foreign Minister Zattem Resbruck,
on behalf of Her Enlightened Majesty the Mother Empress Chella Resyanna fe Shrailleen,

The Foreign Affairs Matriarchy and the government of the Enlightened Matriarchy of the Shrailleeni Empire would like to once again thank all participating nations for their valuable information and civility in responding to this questionnaire. National leaders will note that the Foreign Affairs Matriarchy has introduced a classification system for nations in regards to their policies on Leenism, or Mother Goddess Worship. Co-religionary, Sympathetic, and Tolerant nations may be open to increased applications for Shrailleeni immigration in the future. Neutral nations may be contacted or visited for further information, on a case-by-base basis.

In addition, the Foreign Affairs Matriarchy would like to issue a series of statements toward certain nations, which follow below. Please be aware that these statements are meant for clarification purposes, and nations interested in responding are asked to contact the Foreign Affairs Matriarchy through telegram rather than in this forum.

May the Light of the Mother Goddess shine upon us all,

Zattem Resbruck, Minister of Foreign Affairs,
on behalf of Her Enlightened Majesty the Mother Empress Chella Resyanna fe Shrailleen

To Princess Anora Kador, regarding Intak,

The Temple of the Mother Goddess has reviewed the provided information regarding the religion Intak and its practitioners, the Intaki. It is the majority view of the Temple of the Mother Goddess that the Tak is relevant and compatible interpretation of the Mother Goddess as an omnipresent, omnibenevolent force that connects us all, and that the concept of the Tak is spiritually sound.

After due consideration, the Temple of the Mother Goddess is willing to consider Intak to be a Sister religion of Mother Goddess Worship, similar in status to its consideration of Jezrahlism. Additionally, should Intaki decide that the concept of the Mother Goddess is not incompatible with their conception of the Tak, their acceptance into the Temple umbrella is guaranteed.

The peace and compassion of the Goddess upon you,

Zattem Resbruck, Minister of Foreign Affairs,
on behalf of Her Enlightened Majesty the Mother Empress Chella Resyanna fe Shrailleen

To Hendrik Björk, of the Republic of Verdiga,

In the questionnaire received by the Foreign Affairs Matriarchy from your nation, it was noticed that the answer to the question "Could a religion in your nation be considered for inclusion in the umbrella of Mother Goddess Worship? If yes, please fill out additional questionnaire," was "Maybe." If possible, Her Enlightened Majesty and the Foreign Affairs Matriarchy request a clarification of this answer, specifically as to which native religions of Verdiga could possibly be considered to be Mother Goddess worshipping.

This may preferably be done in the form of an amended questionnaire which incorporates the optional "Possible Inclusion in Mother Goddess Worship" questionnaire.

The Compassion of the Mother upon the nation and people of Verdiga,

Zattem Resbruck, Minister of Foreign Affairs,
on behalf of Her Enlightened Majesty the Mother Empress Chella Resyanna fe Shrailleen

To Kings Ar-Yos I and Sergan I of the Constitutional Diarchy of Vystercia-Nasucrea,

In the questionnaire received by the Foreign Affairs Matriarchy from your nation, it was noticed that a religion known as Dominaism is present in your nation, which was described as "a Nasucrean religion at similar in its Mother Goddess Worship in some ways." If possible, Her Enlightened Majesty and the Foreign Affairs Matriarchy request a clarification of this answer, preferably in the form of an amended questionnaire which incorporates the optional "Possible Inclusion in Mother Goddess Worship" questionnaire, so that Dominaism might be properly considered by Temple officials for its Leenic qualities.

May the Compassion of the Mother-of-All bring Light to the nation and people of Vystercia-Nasucrea,

Zattem Resbruck, Minister of Foreign Affairs,
on behalf of Her Enlightened Majesty the Mother Empress Chella Resyanna fe Shrailleen

To the Empress Annika I Felvaron and Emperor Lorei IV Esteria, of the Sovereign Empire of Gristol-Serkonos,

Her Enlightened Majesty is pleased to greet Your Majesties, whose nation is so welcoming and accommodating of Mother Goddess Worship despite apparent pride in your patriarchal heritage and culture. Two indication of note form the purpose of this communication, firstly, that Your Majesties's nation responded to the question "Could a religion in your nation be considered for inclusion in the umbrella of Mother Goddess Worship?" in the positive. If possible, Her Enlightened Majesty and the Foreign Affairs Matriarchy request a clarification of this answer, preferably in the form of an amended questionnaire which incorporates the optional "Possible Inclusion in Mother Goddess Worship" questionnaire.

Secondly, it has been indicated that the majority of Leenic adherents in Your Majesties's nation live in the singular location of Luminaa Island. Through private telegram, further information on this situation is respectfully requested.

May the Light of the Mother bring peace and compassion to the nation and people of Gristol-Serkonos,

Zattem Resbruck, Minister of Foreign Affairs,
on behalf of Her Enlightened Majesty the Mother Empress Chella Resyanna fe Shrailleen

To High Commissioner Catherine Gladwell of Esperance International,

Her Enlightened Majesty offers her personal greetings and conveys her deepest respects to the organization and mission of Esperance International.

The Mother Empress has been committed to the operation of humanitarian missions throughout her reign, aided by the limitless compassion and activism of the peace-loving Shrailleeni people. Therefore, Her Enlightened Majesty is both honored that members of the Esperance International organization have seen the Wisdom and Compassion of the Mother Goddess as central to their lives, and humbled by the clear presence of the Mother of All in its activities.

In honor and respect to the Sisters and Brothers in the Mother Goddess who work for your organization, Her Enlightened Majesty invites all members of Esperance International to visit the Empire of Shrailleen and judge for themselves the nature of our matriarchal society. It is the position of the Shrailleeni Empire that Enlightened Matriarchy fosters the values of compassion, peace, and humanitarianism in a way different than those societies that profess egalitarianism, and certainly more than patriarchal societies. It is the hope of Her Enlightened Majesty that the Shrailleeni Empire can work alongside our Sisters and Brothers in Esperance International to promote worldwide humanitarian efforts.

The Light of the Mother smiles upon our peoples,

Zattem Resbruck, Minister of Foreign Affairs,
on behalf of Her Enlightened Majesty the Mother Empress Chella Resyanna fe Shrailleen

Name of Religion: Dominaism (Official, the Cult of Cybele Domina)
Estimated Number of Adherents: roughly 400,000 or so
Legality of Religion: Legal
Head of Religion or Spokesperson: High Priestess Caithalla of the Cult of Cybele Domina

In a paragraph, please provide an overview of your religion's beliefs and practices:

Cybele Domina is the supreme, henotheistic deity of the Cult, a syncretic religion that incorporates native Nasucrean matriarchal animism with the cult of Kubaba Cybele, a Phrygian Mother/Earth Goddess brought in from other, often classical pagan nations. Under the name of Cybele Domina, she has a consort named Attis, who was gelded as part of his self-sacrifice to the Goddess. It is said that instead of procreating through him, they both adopted all humanity as their children, though he is the subordinate parent. Priestesses serve Her intact, while priests emulate Attis by neutering themselves and submitting to a ritual scourging. This is voluntary now, though in past it was not.
Why are you seeking consideration for inclusion in Mother Goddess Worship?
The Cult is undergoing a basic reform in order to rehabilitate itself to serve the people of Nasucrea better, as their traditional religion, and perhaps make a comeback if possible. Aid from and co-operate with another matriarchal faith might well steer it on the right path after it lost its way for centuries, becoming an instrument of state-sanctioned cruelty, injustice, and oppression toward men.
Do you accept the core tenants of Mother Goddess Worship?
Yes, it may well lead the way to a new and better, more enlightened period of its history, so as to avoid being forsaken and unable to guide the spirituality of the people. This is now about survival as a religion.
Can a representative of your faith meet with a Leenic official for further discussion, if necessary? Yes, Senior Priestess Renthalla would wish to do so, if possible, along with Eunuch-Priest Mitgan.

No

What is the government's involvement with religion, in at least one sentence?

While there is no official state religion, the government is unofficially favorable to Christianity and the Catholic Church in general. One example is government organizations, such as city governments, will display nativities for the public in town plazas and will decorate the plazas for Christmas and Easter.

What is the government's attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence?

The Government officially has no attitude towards Mother Goddess Worship.

What is the popular attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence?
It is viewed as a strange foreign religion by most people in the country. Regular people are ignorant to it and only talk about it if they happen to be discussing the Shrailleeni Empire, which is probably not very often in their day to day lives.

Is Mother Goddess Worship able to be legally practiced?

Yes

Is Mother Goddess Worship currently practiced by any of the population? If yes, was it adopted independently through learning, or introduced by Shrailleeni humanitarians?

No

What are your government's attitudes toward homosexual marriage and matriarchy in general?

Homosexuality is not against the law in Chaco however any homosexual marriages are not legally recognized by the government. Culturally, marriage in Chaco is viewed as a pact before God and is enacted through private religious ceremonies. Once married the couple notifies the government about their status as a married couple but no license is needed from the government. Homosexuals can get married if they find a priest to officiate their wedding, but this is very uncommon, and even if they find a willing priest, the government will not recognize their status.

Matriarchy is unthinkable in Chacano culture and it would be viewed as a problem if it ever gained ground in Chaco. Diplomatically the government does not let matriarchy get in the way of dealing with other nations. Chaco officially has a live and let live policy with other nations and does not let government or culture get in the way making deals, unless it proves to be belligerent or hostile towards Chaco.

The following questionnaire has been amended as requested. Some statements has been re-worded for clarity.

Nation Name:
The Sovereign Empire of Gristol-Serkonos

Current Head of State:
Empress Annika I Felvaron
Emperor Lorei IV Esteria

Current Head of Government:
Lord High Chancellor Cynthia Valtorum, The Baroness Valtorum

Government Type:
Unitary Parliamentary Constitutional Diarchy with Devolved Legislatures

Official Religion:
The Church of Gristol-Serkonos (Roman Catholicism off-shoot, De Facto and De Jure)

Practiced Religions:
Islam
Buddhism
Protestantism

Religious Worship by Percentage:
In the recent census, 43% of the total population have indicated they follow a religion.

Could a religion in your nation be considered for inclusion in the umbrella of Mother Goddess Worship? If yes, please fill out additional questionnaire.
None

What is the government's involvement with religion, in at least one sentence?
The Sovereign Empire have ensured Freedom of Religion in the current 1925 Imperial Constitution. Under the Constitution, a clear separation between the affairs of the Church and of the State must be upheld. The Mother Goddess Worship religion was first noted in 1998 before being considered a taxable entity by the Imperial Revenue in 2005.

What is the government's attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence?
Under the Constitution, the government is indifferent of the religions citizens follow. Religious organizations are considered Corporate Entities in the Imperial Tax Code and are taxed accordingly to the number of adherents.

What is the popular attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence?
Public opinion is largely divided towards Mother Goddess Worship. It is criticized by religious conservatives and far-right nationalists, while women and men who don't feel strongly about it; in general, however, view the Mother Goddess Worship in a favorable light.

Unfortunately, the census does not provide accurate percentage on every religion practiced in the Sovereign Empire. A survey performed by Centre for National Progress, a non-partisan think-tank, found a large majority of its adherents are currently found in Luminaa Island. It is presumed that the religion was introduced to the populace by Shrailleeni missionaries.

What are your government's attitudes toward homosexual marriage and matriarchy in general?
Same-Sex Marriages are legal, enacted into law in 1991. Homosexuality is seen as normal. The Sovereign Empire for most of its history has maintained a patriarchal societal structure, but in the beginning of the 20th century, the country begun experimenting with egalitarian and meritocratic attitudes. This resulted in greater inclusion of women in politics as well as in the military. A notable figure in the Sovereign Empire's military history was Valerii Kjellsson, the first female Lord High General of the Imperial Gristol-Serkonos Defence Forces. She was notable for her actions that resulted in the survival of the Imperial Government and the Diarchy in the first hours of the Red Revolution.

Matriarchy is considered outdated by the 21st century, as all citizens a high standard of living and greater gender parity in the elected government. Women also serve in the military alongside men with notable exceptions, specifically in the Imperial Navy's Submarine Service where each submarine is crewed by either male or female crews.

An Official Message from the Enlightened Matriarchy of the Shrailleeni Empire
Imperial Matriarchy of Foreign Affairs

To Her Majesty the Queen and High Priestess Jazmyn III, of the Holy Queendom of Islas Sagradas,

Honorable greetings to Your Majesty from Her Enlightened Majesty the Mother Empress Chella Resyanna fe Shrailleen. Her Enlightened Majesty is well pleased to know that yet more nations exist who flower from matriarchal soil, and that the Mother Goddess has seen fit to make more than the Shrailleeni, Her Children, custodian to Her Enlightened Path.

It has been made clear from the responses from your government to our questionnaires that Your Majesty has a positive outlook toward the Leenic faiths, and considers the principles of the Diyosan Church compatible with the principles of Mother Goddess Worship. Ranking Leenic officials agree that the Diyosan Church's concept of Diyosa is compatible with the Leenic conception of the Mother of All, and is in all likelihood an aspect of the Mother Goddess, may She smile upon us.

However, it remains unclear if this friendliness is reciprocated. Mother Goddess Worship is the living faith of millions of people both in the Shrailleeni Empire and abroad. There are some concerns regarding the rights of Mother Goddess Worshippers in Islas Sagradas, namely, that currently the Diyosan Church is the only legal religion in your nation. The Diyosan Church does not permit male clergy, homosexual male marriage, male property rights, male driving, male supervision of businesses, or autonomous male living. Both the institutions of Mother Goddess Worship and those of the Enlightened Matriarchy permit and sanction all of these things as inalienable rights held by our fathers, husbands, brothers, and sons. While the Ancient Temple contains several orders who permit only female clergy, these orders are respectful of those who differ on this point and consider the male members of other orders as their Brothers within the Mother Goddess. And while men in our society typically do not run businesses or live on their own, it is not illegal for them to do so.

Were the Diyosan Church to be considered one with the Ancient Temple, some recognition would be expected of Orders within our faith who allow male clergy, and for male believers who had contracted marriage with another man. The Temple of the Mother Goddess does not ask that the Diyosan Church change its tenants, rather, it inquires as to whether the tenants of all the Leenic faith could be tolerated within Islas Sagradas and whether those who follow other aspects of Mother Goddess Worship or adhere to Orders other than that of the Diyosan Church would be guaranteed freedom of practice.

As things stand, it has been determined that Islas Sagradas will be ranked as a Neutral nation due to only the Diyosan Church having legal rights in the country, which is currently seen as a lack of recognition of the rights of the Temple of the Mother Goddess. Should the combined Orders of the Temple become legally able to be practiced in Islas Sagradas, this would be considered Tolerant. Should certain male rights become recognized, this would be considered Co-religionary.

This being said, Her Enlightened Majesty considers the people of Islas Sangradas to be her Sisters and Brothers, and it is considered that the Diyosan Church is at the least a Sister faith to Leenism. Her Enlightened Majesty awaits Your Majesty's considerations on the subjects presented, and prays that the Light of the Mother will grant wisdom to Your Majesty in this regard.

The Compassion of the Mother of All go with Your Majesty, and with the people of Islas Sangradas,

Zattem Resbruck, Minister of Foreign Affairs,

The government is tolerant to it; its morals reflect those of Smaran people, and its practices are tolerable to include in life.

Most people would accept it. There would be little change in their lifestyles from the addition of practices, and the people would be willing to live in a way that people get along nicely.

Yes, based on the description.
Is Mother Goddess Worship currently practiced by any of the population? If yes, was it adopted independently through learning, or introduced by Shrailleeni humanitarians?
Currently, 1 of the 8% omnipresent worshipers practice it independently through learning. The vast majority of surraleeni are naturally occurring objects like trees and ponds marked with a small sign. There are no idols and representative carved statues, but carvings can decorate shrines and temples.

What are your government's attitudes toward homosexual marriage and matriarchy in general?
Homosexual marriages are perceived that they are not for natural reproduction. The government allows them, but they are rare.
Matriarchy is just seen as another type of family. There are little or no objections to it.

I do not interfere with my Children's beliefs, unless their practice becomes socially harmful.

What is the government's attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence?
Dead-set against. While I normally dismiss most xeno philosophies as too primitive to be a threat to my Children, I consider Mother Goddess Worship a dangerous alien belief. There have been many times when some of my Children have tried to deify me. I am, however, NOT a deity and consider such attempts insulting. I am their Mama, not their Goddess.

What is the popular attitude toward Mother Goddess Worship, in at least one sentence?
I teach my Children not to regard me as a deity, and punish those who stubbornly insist on referring to me as one.

Is Mother Goddess Worship able to be legally practiced? No.

Is Mother Goddess Worship currently practiced by any of the population? If yes, was it adopted independently through learning, or introduced by Shrailleeni humanitarians?
Despite my best efforts, every generation some Children bring up the deification question. I do not permit contact between my Children and Shrailleeni, although they are aware of Shrailleeni philosophies to a similar extent as they're aware of other xeno customs and beliefs.

What are your government's attitudes toward homosexual marriage and matriarchy in general?
Marriage is not practiced by my Children, and the sexes are regarded as equals.
