Due to the recent eruption of Mount Agung, all Petroburghians are advised against travelling to the island of Bali. If you are currently on the island of Bali please follow all orders about evacuation issued by local authorities. If you are experiences medical emergencies, please call the local emergency number and send for an ambulance. The consulate has made prearrangments with several local clinics to fund emergency treatment when necessary.

At this time the consulate in Denpasar as well as the embassy in Jakarta have remained open. The consulate is running on all necessary personnel; however, the Consul has been recalled to Jakarta as part of emergency procedures. Circular Diplomatic Note to all Diplomatic Missions accredited to the Court of His Majesty the King in Jakarta concerning the possible eruption of Mount Agung

The Foreign Affairs Ministry of the Commonwealth of Hindia Belanda presents its compliments to all Diplomatic Missions accredited to the Commonwealth of Hindia Belanda and to all Permanent Missions accredited to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, and has the honour to inform that the King's Commissioner for Bali, De Hoogedelgestrenge Mr Tjokorda Anak Agung Sembahderana Poedjiatjintija, has declared a state of emergency in the Province of Bali.

The Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministry requests all Diplomatic Missions to strongly advise their citizens and nationals, who are presently in the Commonwealth of Hindia Belanda, against travelling to the island of Bali on account of safety reasons. There is currently a mandatory evacuation order for all areas within 15 km radius of Mount Agung and, as such, the Commonwealth Foreign Ministry strongly advises all foreign nationals already on the island of Bali, especially those within the danger zone, to take advantage of the current evacuation window as soon as possible. The two major international airports on the island—Ratu Rāyalunadēi International serving Denpasar and Queen Beatrix International serving Bandar Kunti—will remain open until Friday morning, after which all flights to and from the two airports will be cancelled.

This circular diplomatic note requests no reply.

The Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministry avails itself of this opportunity to renew to all Diplomatic Missions accredited to the Commonwealth of Hindia Belanda and to all Permanent Missions accredited to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations the assurances of its highest consideration.
