Sidhae take great pride in being cyborgs, products of science and deliberate engineering, rather than natural randomness that "just happened". Hence, some of the worst insults in Sidh culture generally attack this aspect of Sidh identity, thereby questioning one's ancestry or denying one's Sidhness.

Other insults question one's loyalty and commitment to the Sidh nation and ideals, or accuse the target of un-Sidh conduct.

Certain insults are considered so extreme that the target is expected to retaliate violently, lest the accuser be proven right. These insults are known as "death words", meaning that it is permissible to retaliate with lethal violence for being wrongfully accused with such words.

Cunt-born - a generic racial slur for humans and other species that give live birth; Considered a death word if addressed to a Sidh. Accusing one of being born naturally implies that one is no Sidh at all, i.e., a "subhuman", member of an inferior race. Oldest generations of Sidhae and recently converted former humans, though being born naturally, are generally considered exempt from this slur, their conversion into Sidhae being considered their true "birth". Still, these same groups tend to react particularly harshly when their Sidhness is questioned by this slur.

Amfiat - the term translates roughly as "traitor" or "apostate" in human languages, but it's proper Sidh meaning is actually closer to "unperson". As a legal term, "amfiat" denotes someone condemned to banishment for crimes against the state, the sentence involving declaring the subject legally dead, expunging any mention of him from official records, and pro forma declaring any future mention of him a capital offense. In other words, being declared "amfiat" is the Sidh equivalent to permanent excommunication. The legal sentence is reserved for serious crimes against the state, such as inciting rebellion or mutiny, promoting unpatriotic and un-Sidh ideas, or other offenses that can be interpreted as treason. Wrongly accusing a Sidh of being an "amfiat" is the worst possible insult in Sidh culture, and a surefire way of provoking a Sidh into violent retaliation.

Slave - enslavement is considered the second most shameful state of being in Sidh culture after amfiat. A proper Sidh is expected to fight his captors to the death, or take his own life rather than suffer the indignity of enslavement. Hence, calling a Sidh a slave or otherwise suggesting he or she possesses the qualities of a slave or deserves enslavement is also a death word.

Oaths by the Emperor or Empress - Sidhae regard their leaders with almost religious reverence, so oaths like "by Emperor's blood" or "in Empress's name" are not to be uttered lightly, and are usually exclaimed to signify the seriousness of situation or express great shock. Casual reference to the Emperor or the Empress is considered highly vulgar and shunned in polite society, the more conservative Sidhae regarding it as outright blasphemy (akin to "speaking God's name in vain"). Outright insults towards the Emperor or the Empress are blasphemous, not to mention highly unpatriotic, and assured to provoke a violent reaction from any proper Sidhae that hear them long before the authorities deem it necessary to intervene.

Prostitute - prostitution and pornography, being acts debasing of one's bodily dignity, are incompatible with Sidhness and considered highly disreputable, Sidhae being forbidden from directly partaking in or profiting from the said industries in any manner under penalty of loss of citizenship. Accusing a Sidh of prostituting oneself, while not a death word in itself, is still likely to provoke a violent reaction. A number of words pertaining to prostitution and loose mores can be used for that end.

Sexual pervert - words accusing one of sexual perversion, such as homosexuality or bestiality, are used as serious insults, albeit not death words. Suggesting that one is a homosexual or fornicates with lesser species quite obviously denotes deviance, deviance in turn implies serious design flaws, and design flaws imply one is lacking in Sidhness by failing to remedy them.

Coward - being a very militaristic civilization, Sidhae greatly value courage and despise cowardice in all forms, hence making "coward" a very suitable word of abuse.

Parasite - in a highly-collectivist society oriented towards service for the common good, words suggesting sloth and social parasitism have a highly negative context and are often used as profanities and insults.

References to family members - suggesting that a Sidh has a family of his own implies him to be naturally-born, or belonging to species that are naturally-born, and hence not a Sidh.

More generic insults refer to a lack of intelligence, poor hygene, lack of fitness or compare one to various species of vermin.

Overall, Sidhae tend to be rather polite between each other, aware of the fact that a carelessly uttered word can carry very serious consequences, more often with another Sidh than with the authorities. At the same time, Sidh idea of politeness is somewhat different from that of most humans, Sidhae having no problem with discussing sex and bodily functions in the most direct terms even in the most refined company.

TurtleShroomers don't curse, and that includes taking the Lord's Name in Vain. That's something they are taught the moment they can speak. Weird euphamisms ranging from "merciful gravy" to "my glob" to the usual "my goodness" and "consarn it" take the place of obscenities. Words such as "screwed" and "crap", while technically permissible, are frowned upon in most settings. For a TurtleShroomer to shout "crap" or use "screwed", it has to be an extraordinary circumstance that is similar to when other nations would use the F-word or "GD".

Some interesting insults, however, do exist.

• "Your mother takes Selfies!" (A very recent human insult. This implies that the receiver of the insult, and his family, are vain and egotistical. TurtleShroomer society places humility and sacrifice for others over most every other virtue. To truly insult a TurtleShroomer, you insult their family.)
• "Your mother was a softshell!" (A turtle insult. With the exception of actual softshell turtles and pancake turtles, it is seen as an insult to imply that a turtle's shell does not work or protect the turtle as intended. Again, the worst insults in TurtleShroom insult family, which is valued over self.)
• "I bet your father runs the household!" (A turtle insult that is unpopular with humans and avoided in their company. Female turtles are three times the size of male ones and, as in RL, they run the show. For a turtle to imply that the recipiant's mother is weak and cannot keep a house in order, that is a grave insult.)
• "Gerry called, they're running out of catgirls!" (A human insult. Gerry was a city in the far northeast of TurtleShroom before it was lost in a war. It is famous for housing almost every illegal prostitute and drug operation imaginable and is where those perceived as degenerates live their lives in debauchery and sin. Nekomimi, also known as catgirls, often took up roles as hookers due to their disenfranchisement, segregation, and ostracization in the civilized world. This is basically the TurtleShroomer equivalent of calling a woman a whore or harlot, as it says that the recipiant belongs with the condemned and "unclean" in a brothel in a crime-ridden city.)
• "You zombie flesh!" (An insult among humans and mushrooms. It implies that one is essentially "the guy who dies first" when zombies rise. This has a range of implications, from saying that the recipiant is weak, to saying that their only real worth is zombie bait. Either way, it's considered especially heinous.)
• "Drunkard!" (An insult among all species. It may seem benign to you, but it's a big deal in TurtleShroom. TurtleShroom has enforced Prohibition since 1796 AD and, as such, alcohol is mocked and looked down upon. Calling someone a drunkard basically means they are a thug and a lowlife criminal.)
• "You homosexual!" (An insult among all species. This is seen as a "tasteless" and "unbecoming" insult used only by the most lowbrow and dishonorable in TurtleShroom; it exists in the lowest rungs of society. As much as the Church attempts to guilt TurtleShroomers into "loving the sin and not the sinner", and as much as society as a whole is raised to understand that condemning sexual deviancy without an urge to aid in fighting it is not loving and un-Christian, accusations of sodomy and other deviancies are still used as grevious insults by those who don't take Christianity as serious as they should.)
• "So who said that? Tengri? Tengri's momma?" (An insult among turtles and mushrooms that is becoming popular with humans. Tengrism is the ancient religion of the Mongols and the Manchu in RL and, after an invasion of Mongoloids subjugated the non-human populations, Tengrism was adopted en masse by the turtles, who had always subconciously longed for an organized religion because of their decentralized society. After the Mongoloids died out or were killed, about a hundred years passed before a new swath of humans colonized TurtleShroom. These were peaceful and converted TurtleShroom to Christianity. Aside from a sizable band of holdouts, Tengrism was wiped out by Christianity and its chief god is seen as another false idol. As such, mocking Tengri in this context is a use of biting sarcasm to rebuke or otehrwise belittle a comment somone really wanted to take back.)

Someone who is too weak or cowardly to defend himself, even if it entails his own death, deserves what is coming to him. Someone who prefers dishonour to death deserves no sympathy or pity.

Our society is no place for the weak and the timid, and the universe we live in even more so. It is a dark, violent and brutish universe forged by centuries of incessant warfare, genocide and atrocities beyond all description, a hi-tech Dark Age where the strong rule by the right of might, the weak are spat upon and ridiculed, and an unflinching killer instinct and lightning-quick reflexes are worth far more than a compassionate heart or clean conscience.

The reason hackies are hated and despised isn't because they have been raped, but because their response to an action meant to mark them as outcasts is un-Sidh and marks them as undeserving of sympathy or respect. A proper Sidh, when under threat of rape, will fight to the death rather than endure the shame of being dominated and used as somebody's plaything. Even when overpowered and violated, a proper Sidh can still attempt to murder everyone involved or aware of the incident, so that his shame remains known to him alone and follows him into the grave, or die trying. And in the very least, a violated Sidh can kill himself, thus demostrating that his dignity is more important to him than his life, that without the former, he has no use or want for the latter.

Hence someone who chooses to live on as a hackie becomes a despised pariah for demonstrating his lack of Sidhness, courage and moral fibre by accepting the status of a downcast.

• Hell-pig - a term used for ghouls. Originates from an insult used in a pre-war videogame series for zombies.
• Zombie - see above.
• Muzzy - a term used for Muslims, more specifically Islamic militants. Is used to the same effect as 'Jerry' (Germans) or 'Charlie' (Vietnamese).
• Greenskin - a term used for orks. Is actually rather inaccurate, since only Frenkish orks actually have green skin - the skin of Russian orks is pastel-blue, owing to a slight difference in the genetic code for the forced-evolutionary virus (FEV) that creates them.
• Earthling - a slur used by extraterrestrial colonists on Mars and Jupiter. Is relatively tame in comparison to the others listed, considered equivalent to 'southern-fairy' in northern British slang (or 'Yankee' in Southern American slang).
• Pindo - an old Soviet-era slur for Americans, continues to be used for Frenks to this day.
• Warez - a highly-pejorative term used by organics for cyborgs. The odd-sounding term suggests that the Machine Race are just copies of each other and therefore of little to no value.

What should be noted is that these terms are rarely used outside of informal conversation, and even then are almost always used for derogation.
