How to say "Merry Christmas" in your language

Postby Baldapehlva » Sun Dec 20, 2015 7:14 pm

How do you say "Merry Christmas," "Happy New Year, " or "Happy Holidays" in your language? We say Merry Christmas as کریسمس مبارک, in Persian.

In Alkydsatep, a Greek-Persian Creole mix, it is Joep elal Christuus-annus (translated as "Joy to the birthday of Christ").
Pro: Liberalism and socialism, Catholicism, Pope Francis, basic freedums, and the Beatles
Anti: ISIL (those ISILs!), racism, Black Lives Matter, Protestantism (But I love Episcopalians!), and true atheists.

"Merry Christmas"
Typically the English phrase is used, because the holiday was popularised by the Anglosphere Western societies, in their dealings with the Noran state.

Usually, Altmorans will wish other Altmorans a Merry Christmas in Irish Gaelic. To foreigners, the English phrase "Merry Christmas" is used, unless the foreigner is a close friend of the Altmoran and speaks Irish Gaelic.
