[Taimansia]

Toãoka
The nation of Taimansia is a largely Toãoka state. As such, the most common stereotypes around Taimansi people are based on Toãoka people primarily, though this is not always the case.

Stereotypes include the notion that Toãoka are obsessed with deer and stags. While it is true that deer, being the national animal of Taimansia, the namesake of the Taimansi people, a common symbol of Taimansi people everywhere and also protected within Taimansi lands (seriously, it can be a capital offence to kill a stag within Taimansi lands - less severe punishments exist for killing does, but they are still protected), the Taimansi reverence for the stag is more as a respectful nod rather than a pure obsession. Taimansi people don't sleep with deer as some stereotypes insist, nor do they always have stag decorations in their houses unless they are Taimansi royalty or one of the few Taimansi who REALLY like stags. This stereotype is fairly inaccurate.

Another stereotype persists that the Taimansi are savages. This stereotype came largely from the neighbouring Qeudkoka of Revoba, a state that never shied away from the fact that they were the main rivals to Taimansia throughout much of its history. The stereotype also arose independently within the southerly Naried Kingdom, which adopted feudalism long before the Taimansi did. For the people of Revoba, this stereotype was somewhat disproved when the Taimansi army invaded and took their entire land, though for the descendant states of the Naried Kingdom, as far as they are concerned this stereotype is proven, as the Taimansi regularly declare wars on their lands, taking them under the Taimansi Kingdom's wing and leaving a worried populace, fearful of the menace to the North. However, in once-independent lands, especially to the North and West, the opposite stereotype exists, instead saying that Taimansi are a race of pompous and advanced imperialists. The reality likely lies somewhere in the middle.

Another outside stereotype is that Taimansia is a nation of flagrant sexual immorality, sexualised culture and (shock horror) women being equal to men. These are largely true, but not entirely. For starters, the myth of sexual immorality came from the story of a Naried diplomat, who was later found to be homosexual, who took refuge in Taimansia. From then on, Naried successor states have labeled Taimansia 'Land of the Homosexuals'. While it is true that a small number of Taimansi Kings have been homosexual, homosexuality is not as prevalent as many would like to believe. The truth of the matter is that Taimansi people don't much care for sex when it is not their own. As Qeuda Waroba the Noble once now famously said to two men - a vassal and a courtier - that she found engaging in 'sexual immorality' within the capital;

"My brother, the general, is a known homosexual. Many of my forefathers are known homosexuals. If you tallied up the Lords and Ladies of Taimansia today, yes, many of them too would be homosexuals. My advice - do whatever you want, steer clear of zealots, and for Rerm's sake, get a room!"

As for the charge of women being equal to men, this is largely true, especially in the years since the Talenred takeover. Teuqa Dalenre Talenred of Kawarka was the first female ruler in Taimansia, and she was followed by Teuqa Bine, another woman. Bine was followed by Teuq Tel of Kawarka, who would eventually become Qeud of Taimansia and extend inheritance rights throughout the entire Kingdom to women, before leaving the throne to his daughter, Qeuda Daima, who would become known as 'the Lionheart' thanks to many battles in which she personally led the Taimansi army. As such, it could be said that women are equal to males in many respects, though there is still much more work to be done.

Eparoka
The Eparoka are a subgroup of Toãoka who live largely in the mountains between Taimansia proper and Revoba. Notably, they do not share the stereotype of 'stag shaggers' found amongst Taimansi populations. However, there are a number of other stereotypes that can be applied to them.

First and perhaps foremost, the Eparoka are known for surrendering. Many years ago, the Eparoka actually held a Kingdom between the Taimansi and Revoba populations. Their Kingdom, needless to say, didn't last all that long. By 500 AK, the Kingdom had been mostly absorbed into Revoba, with the Taimansi left only to scoop up the remains of their sister-culture. This unfortunate history has led to many once-Eparoka choosing to identify as Taimansi rather than Eparoka themselves, and those in the Central and Eastern regions that were taken by Revoba (before Revoba itself was taken by Taimansia) gradually adopting Eastern cultures for the shame. This has also led to a very popular phrase in Taimansia, used to show reluctance or refusal to complete a given task - "I'll do that once I join the Eparoka army."

Apart from that major stereotype, due to the falling numbers of Eparoka in higher class society, Eparoka are largely seen as backwards, rural and mostly farmers. Their once-famed prowess with spears and elite lightly armoured infantry has now fallen by the wayside in exchange for the pitchfork and straw hat, with woolen clothing being the norm.

Mountain Tribes
Little is known of the mountain tribes to the south of Taimansia other than that they speak Toãoka, like the Taimansi, and rarely come down from their mountaintops. This has given them a rather mysterious image amongst feudal Taimansi Lords and peasants. Some consider them savages, which may be right, although it may be more accurate to look at them in the same way that one looks at Old Toãoka culture. Regardless, the savage moniker sticks.

The Northerners
Wavans, Renoka
The Wavans and Renoka are the northern ethnic neighbours of the Toãoka, though are now part of the Taimansi Kingdom. Known as 'Ice people' for their harsh winter climate, they live by hunting and foraging.

Both groups are quite closely related to the Taimansi, though the Wavans have retained a much more 'purist' culture as opposed to the Renoka. The Renoka have added influences of Renelm and Taraya cultures into their own, giving them the stereotype of being 'mongrels'. However, as much as the Renoka culture is a mix of Wavans and Eastern cultures, they remain a critical part of the Taimansi nation, with the uniting of both nations occurring thanks to Qeud Dat Talenred, who first became the Qeud of the Renoka before becoming Qeud of the Taimansi (thanks to his mother, who was Qeuda at the time). Compared with the Wavans, who were finally conquered after Dat ascended to the throne, the integration of the Renoka was a peaceful one, and many Renoka retained their old titles and lands long after Dat's reign. As such, stereotypes for both are generally made in jest, not out of spite.

However, the Wavans and Renoka have a particular reputation for being power-grabbers. Qeud Linund II would marry a Wavans Kaiqeuda, who largely used the Qeud as a means for gaining power within the Qeudkoka of Taimansia, a state which the Wavans now had been incorporated into. This particular Kaiqeuda would later go on to control the entirety of Renoka lands also. Her nephew, who succeeded her to the Kaiqeudkoka of the Wavans, would later take over the entirety of Revoba, the once-rivals of Taimansia, and absorb it into Taimansia. Interestingly enough, the Kaiqeud of Wedoba, the Renoka state, would later also take a neighbouring Kingdom also, the Qeudkoka of Lenoka. As such, these once downtrodden and even now joked-about cultures of the North, the Wavans and the Renoka, are some of the most respected within Taimansia for military and diplomatic prowess.

The Easterners
Taraya, Tevund, Keudoba, Renelm
The Eastern Ar-Qelh cultures are viewed with suspicion by the Taimansi. They are the most recently conquered people within the Taimansi Kingdom, their once-grand Kingdoms now either vassal states of Taimansi lords or small, independent petty Kingdoms on the Eastern Coast, and their people have, either willingly or unwillingly, become subjects of Taimansia.

Some Taimansi still see them as natural enemies of the Taimansi themselves. With centuries of warfare put behind these now-conquered people, some grievances are sure to air when Taimansi come into contact with them. Mostly, however, the Taimansi see them as religiously inferior. As opposed to the religiously unified Western coast, where the majority faith amongst four nations (Taimansia, Eparoka, Wedoba and Qeatoka) was Kaevi. However, the East was a different story. In the east, various faiths fought for control, including the Sarirma, Ralata and Taimelm. The Taimelm faith, as the majority faith of Revoba, would later become dominant on the East coast, pushing out the other two pretenders. However, Taimelm differs substantially from other Rari Sili faiths. While most Rari Sili faiths worship Rerm, creator deity, the Taimelm worship Kar, the deity of the moon and creator of the stars, who most Rari Sili believe is a false god. As such, the Taimelm believe the universe outside of their one planet to be of great importance, and so between shouts of 'heretic', Taimansi will also enforce the stereotype of Taimelm being 'dreamers', constantly looking at the stars. This is with the notable exception of the Taraya, who managed to remain free of the Taimelm yoke, instead becoming majority Kaevi.

The Renelm are also the only major ethnicity in Taimansia not to have a Kaiqeudkoka. While two of the three Eastern cultures share Revoba, and the Taraya live in Lenoka, the Renelm inhabit a no man's land between the two. As such, their lands are fairly disorganised, leading to most Taimansi believing that to be their nature (even though they did in fact inhabit a state before the Taimansi invaded). Overall, a mixed bag of negative stereotypes characterise the turbulent Eastern cultures of Taimansia.

The Southerners
Wituntn, Darekel, Sasupo
The only grouping of Non-Ar-Qelh people within Taimansia comes from the southern lands. Specifically, the Kaiqeudkoka of Nasuntn and the southern parts of the Kaiqeudkoka of Revoba. The southerners receive a mixture of abuse and respect from Taimansi, as some (specifically the Wituntn and Darekel) have been part of Taimansia for a very long time. They have religious traditions differing entirely from those of the Taimansi Kaevi faithful, and their neighbouring southerly nations still actively want them back, despite now being de jure parts of a greater Taimansi realm. As such, the Taimansi, when they think of them (admittedly not often), think of them as backwards people needing to be civilised by the Taimansi. Despite many once belonging to the Naried Kingdom, once considered to be the most advanced nation in the world (though Taimansia may have now just surpassed them), the prevailing view is still hard to get rid of, and as there are no lords of those cultures or religions, they are seen as the way they are in majority in Taimansia - peasants and small-community leaders.

While not all Thermodolias are rich, Thermodolia as a nation is. Thermodolia is one of, if not the most, richest nations in world

This is half true. The majority of Thermodolians are proud of the military but not to the level that the stereotype suggests

This one is false. Thermodolians actually love humor and a good laugh. However the notion that Thermodolians hate humor comes from the fact that Thermodolian humor is very hard to understand if one doesn’t have a grasp of Thermodolian
-Hates slackers
This is partly true. Many Thermodolians believe that work sets people free. And while some Thermodolians many look down upon those who do not work, the majority of Thermodolians do not hate slackers
-Thinks that everything belongs to them
This downright false. The only reason why this exists is because Thermodolia still maintains its imperial possessions
-Have no concept of sexual immorality
This isn’t true. The only reason why this happens is because Thermodolians don’t have a fixation on what consenting people do in the bedroom

Urban stereotypes: Urban people are overly polite and friendly, though not pushy. Urban teenagers love outdoor activities like skateboarding, biking, and sports. The urban stereotypes are for most part true, except the urban youth stereotypes have changed in recent years. Since 2012, more Yeremanian teens have been into social media, and online gaming.
Rural stereotypes: People who live in the rural areas are conservative Catholics. This is true to an extent, in the rural areas one will find a variety of different European cultures, like Irish, Italian, English etc. This is just the rural areas. It’s more diverse in the urban and suburban communities. There is also a stereotype that Yeremanians live in cabin houses.
