It's not too hard to make a track link, slap on an array modifier and bend the resulting row of links along a curve.

I'm usually just too lazy to do it, so I copy and paste them.

Well since I don't have any tracked vehicles that have all angles drawn, how would you feel doing this stupid thing? I'd just need some time to put some things on the engine deck and shit.

Well there is plenty of room between the driver and the drive wheels. Couldn't all the gubbins be offset so it's in front of the driver?

There's plenty of room behind the driver too. I put him where he is so the periscopes didn't have their field of vision blocked by the hull. Would it fix the transmission issue if I just moved the driver back as far as he can go?

Going back to add on armour, watching part 8 of Operation Think Tank it does seem to be the case that things like spaced armour, sandbags and concrete did increase the penatration of shaped charges, because while doing nothing to stop the warhead, they made it detonate before hitting the actual armour, causing the jet to form sooner and stabilize and stuff, which was super bad.

They kept talking about it and explained electronic triggers for detonation. Because being fired out of guns caused the shell to simply destroy itself before it detonated, they developed electric triggers that went off instantly when it impacted. Can't remember when they said they were developed, but I imagine they made add on armour even more usless.

They also said that the amount of armour you would need to put onto a tank to make HEAT less effective would just break the tank. I have no idea how heavy a front slope-worth of 1 foot thick concrete is, but I imagine it's a shit load.

Also this Operation Think Tank is just the best. The common belief is that Ferdinands were lost in large numbers because they lacked any real counter to infantry, but this is complete rubbish. It was because two units in particular that had them, one a former StuG unit and the other a former user of AT trucks and half tracks, both had completely different results. The StuG units were very successful because they understood fighting in an enclosed armoured tank destroyer, and that despite the armour they were not invincible. The unit that previously used trucks and half tracks thought they were now invincible, so they were a lot more reckless, opening themselves up to being flanked. The point that started this one discussion was the opinion that it is usually all about the crew rather than the tank, which with Ferdinand that is very clearly the case.

Oh and I guess more WIP. Does anyone actually see any major problems with it? I know it's pretty big, but it is well armed and I assume well armoured. And it is while also carrying 12 troops, which is great I guess. It's probably the most realistic looking tank I've made.
