Mixture of buildings dating back to the medieval period, with buildings from all periods since, athough buildings from the 50s to the 80s are fairly rare due to them being demolished to make way for newer, less ugly buildings.

Curumba is a mix of Futuristic Buildings with a Latin Flare to everything. Curumba has the nation's best transportation systems, where every street has buses that can take a person from point A to point B without an issue. Parks adorn the city, along with trees in just about every street. The poor live off well in small, clean townhouses that are affordable to their needs. The rich live in large houses that are kept very clean and in excellent condition. Curumba is also home to many museums, theaters, and points of interest that give good looks to HUElavian culture. Curumba also has 5 major Stadiums, 3 towards Football (Soccer) and 2 to Basketball/Volleyball.

OOC: Chadtonia's Capital City resembles RL Washington D.C., U.S.A. with historical buildings still in use and plenty of modern buildings additionally. Note: In Chadtonian English either spelling Capital or Capitol is correct for seats of government, or buildings.

Chadtonia's historical buildings are much older than Washington D.C.'s I was half-drunk when I wrote that. I will give a better description later.

The Eternal Empire Of The Ephyral Race

Ael Khālanī - Ael Rēlāmaerkys - Ael Ascanda

Issue of Dispute: Capital City of the Eternal Empire

Officially known as the Throne-City of Cydamae by the Ephyral, it acts as the official capital of the Eternal Empire, centre of the Ephyral world. Situated in the north-east of Ephyral Ascanda, the island land-mass from which the Ephyral race originate, it is the largest city in the Empire, with a population of 11.3 million. To the north-west lies the city of Kyrosh, regarded as the economic capital. Cydamae was built in 290 CE, following the cataclysmic disaster known usually as the Event but also the Ruin that scoured the eastern part of the landmass and sinking the rest below the waves in a generation long storm of tidal waves, hurricanes, earthquakes and seismic activity. No one knows what caused the Ruin, only that it ended the High Empire. When Cydamae was initially built, the Ephyral people were fractured into city-states, ruled by proclaimed monarchs or councils, senates and priests. The unification of the Ephyral was forged through war, when Cydamae allied with Kyrosh to face the people of Sylia, with the annexed cities of Essalia and Lysseah. The Cydamae-Kyrosh alliance won the war with uprisings from Essalia and Lysseah. Sylia was prepared to fight a second war when the Muslims invaded from the east, scouring Ephyral settlements on the African coastline. Uniting, the Ephyral drove the Muslims back, and forged a single state based in Cydamae.

Cydamae is known fondly as the Great Daughter of Ephyra, the first city of the High Empire, despite the fact that when Cydamae was founded, Ephyra was destroyed. Kyrosh is known as the First Daughter, Sylia as the Lovely Daughter and so on. A very industrial and wealthy city, Cydamae merges business with beauty, with towering dominant skyscrapers of modern design inter-mingling with the ancient marble and reinforced obsidian of the High Empire. The largest building in Cydamae sits just to the south-west of the centre, and is the Mesinis Imperial Palace, though it is often called by its other name, the Immortal Pyramid. An actual Pyramid, it was constructed to serve as the residence for the first monarch of the Empire, Khālan Vaegal I vay Dasarys, whom forged the Second Empire following the fall of the council that defended from Islam. Huge and sleek, it can be seen from nearly any point in Cydamae. The Immortal Pyramid is currently the residence of the reigning monarch, Khālanī Alyrya I vie Sāhvīīshār, who sits upon the Immortal Throne.

The second largest structure (in volume if not in height) is the Great Temple of Flame at Cydamae. It is the largest temple dedicated to the worship of the Fire God, Issalor, in the entire Empire. Lit by braziers beyond counting, there is no aspect of modernism about it, just like the Immortal Pyramid. Cut from marble and obsidian, it shines as the beacon of what the Empire was and what it may become. The Great Termple was specifically designed to be at the centre of the city, but gradually fixed in the east as the city slowly expanded into the land of the west. However, it is still referred to as the centre of all that is sacred.

Mesinis Square sits around the Immortal Pyramid, and is home to the Central Market, an old style free market where anyone with goods can sell them to anyone with money (legally of course), not dominated by corporate conglomerates. The purpose of the Central Market is traditionalism. For nearly two thousand years, the Central Market was run by and for the people. The greatest attraction in Mesinis Square is the statue of Mesinis herself, a colossal harpy standing a hundred feet tall, carved of bronze and ivory, with large rubies for her eyes. Under her gaze is the Plaza of Sin, a vast part of the Square where the Inquisition of the Red Conviction carry out religious punishment; here, one may find adulterers, both male and female, locked naked in the pillories to be shamed and branded for their infidelity, one may find the racks of severed hands, taken from thieves and burglars, male rapists subject to castration without anaesthetic, female rapists subject to rape in turn. And of course, there will almost always be a man or a woman burning at the stake for the heresies that cannot be forgiven by mortals, but only by Issalor.

The Great Arena is situated to the south-east of the Great Temple, and can seat a quarter of a million people. The once archaic arena has been modernised, with steel supports, cameras and television screens to broadcast the fights across the Empire. In the Great Arena, professional and adored gladiators come to shed the blood of other professional and adored gladiators, but also arena-slaves and criminals sentenced to the sands. Fights are melee as they were in the old days, and the Great Arena is frequented by the poor and rich alike to share in the glory of the games.

A general rule with Cydamae, and most cities are, the closer you live to the central object (in this case, the Immortal Pyramid and the Great Temple), the wealthier you are. These include the CEOs of corporations, the greatest noble families (and often the two are the same thing), proprietors of pleasure houses and more, all residing near the centre. The further you expand outwards, the less fortunate the people become. The main area where the Freeholders (working and middle class) individuals and families live is generally known as the Ring of Prosperity, as it encompasses the central wealth and accounts for the majority of the city, with some slums and lesser dwellings upon its edges. It is easy to tell where you are in Cydamae. Near the centre, in the Square, around the Temple and other buildings, there will be a high abundance of slaves, either owned by their masters or by the state. In the Ring, slaves are still populous, but as you make your way to the outskirts, they become less so. Pleasure houses containing the refined, beautiful and skilled pleasure slaves give way to brothels offering out prostitutes and slave-whores for lower prices and lower quality. The population residing here look less like the glorious, superior race of the pureblooded Ephyral and more like the mongrel descendants of halfbreeds that they are.

Red light districts exists, though are unnecessary, as pleasure houses and brothels and independent prostitutes can be found nearly anywhere in the city, and frequented legally. In the Central Market, a woman may sell vegetables or she may sell herself, and both for reasonable prices.

Cydamae is considered to be the best representation of what Ephyra is. Though organised, the civilisation of the centre tries to keep the grip on the fringes, whilst the vice and debauchery of the fringes works its way to the centre. Culturally, it is home to many museums of history and art, theatres to show plays and cinemas to show movies. Even the Great Arena is seen as a cultural representation of sophistication. Racially, the purity of the Ephyral here is challenged only by those living in Sylia, but is much more well known. Tourists and visitors from countries who, from the comforts of their own land, mock and express revulsion towards the Empire whom then arrive in the great city find themselves changed. Ephyra has mastered the craft of beautiful brutality, as one may gaze upon the Plaza of Sin, or the slaves working in the pleasure houses, the men and women toiling under the lash of their masters, and then look upon the Immortal Pyramid and Mesinis and realise the success of such a civilisation is unrivalled.

The built up urbanized area has a population of 35.8 million, making it the 2nd largest city in Zeganas, also making it one of the "Big 7" cities of Zeganas.

The Big 7 is a collection of cities that have seen rapid socio-economic development and progress over the last couple decades, and San Megan, the capital, is one of them. It has seen a bit of a slowdown of development in the past couple of years but is still a major economic hub of western Zeganas.
Some of the city is built in polders and the general area's geography is flat but gets more hilly towards the east.

Tyståska, translating from Swedish to English as Silent Thunder, is the capital city of Destyntine. This name comes from how powerful and bright this city is, yet it extremely quiet, as citizens tend to talk softly or whisper to not disturb others. The city is massive, and has been renovated to match the most advanced structural standards for the year of 2243. This city is the home to the royal family, and the most advanced technology on Earth. Anyone within Tyståska will be able to see the Capital Starfleet above them, acting as the primary defense to all of Destyntine.

There are no wheeled vehicles permitted within this city, all of the walkways are reserved specifically for pedestrians. All vehicles within Tyståska are able to soar, hundreds of feet above the ground, and light rails travel at the speed of sound around the city, transporting anyone where they need to be within seconds.

It is common to see citizens wearing high-end clothing made of a futuristic fabric similar similar to, but more durable than polyester called synth silk. It is not uncommon to see citizens with bionic body parts, tattoos, and colorful hair. Citizens mostly have pale skin, green or blue eyes, and platinum blonde hair.

Citizens obey the laws out of cultural norms. They will always stop at large walkways when signs direct them too, and will be respectful to others by offering a hand to those in need. The police force makes common appearances all over the city, they are wearing completely white armor with tinted visors to remain anonymous. They too, will offer anyone in need a hand.

The buildings are extremely tall and very sturdy, and the streets are kept clean constantly. Vegetation may be planted throughout areas of the city, but is unnatural. Large holographic signs and billboards are located on almost every building. The city is practically neon at night. Everything is well light at nighttime.

Mother Knows Best State

Postby Tangatarehua » Thu Dec 02, 2021 10:34 pm

Technically, Tangatarehua has two capital cities - Tamaki is the de facto capital and seat of government, while Whakaara is the imperial and constitutional capital.

Tamaki is the largest city in Tangatarehua and the de facto capital city, serving as both the commercial capital as well as the seat of government. The city straddles the Whangakawa Strait, occupying simultaneously the northern tip of the island of Marangawhenua and the southern tip of the island of Moanapapa. Although Whakaara is the constitutional capital city and seat of the imperial throne, Tamaki is the seat of government and contains the Rangatira-pa, Department of State and the Whare o Tangata (Parliament). As of the 2021 the city has an estimated population of 10 million, comprising one third of the total population of Tangatarehua.

Tamaki has been a major settlement for over 2000 years, serving as both a major port and military installation from as early as 200 BC, due to its strategic location on the Whangakawa strait allowing it to serve as a major waypoint for traders passing between the major cities of Kotiropai in Marangawhenua and Rakipa in Moanapapa. Since 1178 the Rangatira has effectively governed the nation from Rangatira-pa, located in Tamaki, making the city the de facto capital. From 1835, Te Whare o Tangata (Parliament) has also been located in Tamaki, cementing the city's status as the seat of government. Since the 1980s the city has undergone rapid development as well as a population boom. The city was devastated by a major earthquake in 2009 that resulted in over 1000 deaths.

The city is divided into 30 wards, each with their own elected mayor and council. Since 2010 there has also been a directly elected mayor of Greater Tamaki. The city spans two prefectures - Tamaki Prefecture and Whangakawa Prefecture, and thus has two Kaitiaki, however since the reforms of 2010 the Kaitiaki have become mostly ceremonial roles. The city is sometimes divided into two for statistical purposes, with Tamaki-raki referring to the northern part of the city, located in Whangakawa prefecture on the island of Moanapapa while Tamaki-tonga refers to the southern part of the city, located in Tamaki prefecture on the island of Marangawhenua.

The city is served by two international airports, an underground rapid-transit system and is a major waypoint on the national high-speed rail network. The two halves of the city (and thus the two islands) are connected by Tamaki Whangapiriti (the Tamaki Harbour Bridge) as well as by a series of underground car and train tunnels.

History

WIP

Geography

The city of Tamaki straddles the Whangakawa Strait which separates the island of Moanapapa from the island of Marangawhenua, comprising all of Tamaki prefecture and Whangakawa prefecture. There are a number of commuter towns located in Hauauru prefecture, Maaniapapa prefecture and even southern Rakipa prefecture, although these are not usually included as parts of Greater Tamaki.

The Awakotiropai river, which runs almost the entire length of Marangawhenua, marks the eastern and southern boundary of the city, while the Awaraki river forms the north eastern boundary, separating Whangakawa prefecture from Tapumoana prefecture. On the western side, Tamaki-tonga is bordered by the Hauauru greenbelt while the city Tamaki-raki is usually considered to stop at Whangakawa national park, although officially the national park sits within the city limits.

The city is somewhat polycentric, with downtown Tamaki-tonga considered the city's main 'central business district' while Tamaki-raki (particularly the area surrounding the Rangatira-pa) is considered the main 'government district'.

Climate

Tamaki has a monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate (Koppen Cwa) though parts of the city close to the coast border on a humid subtropical climate (Koppen Cfa) with slightly higher levels of rainfall that the outer suburbs.

Summers are hot, humid and rainy with the city experiencing a monsoon-like weather phenomenon known as romata raumati ('summer tears') during December and January. Like most of Tangatarehua there is some seasonal lag. February is the warmest month, with a daily mean temperature of 26°C (79°F) although daytime highs frequently exceed 32°C (90°F). Winters are mild and usually dry with occasional cool spells, while strong winds from the Whangakawa strait tend to make temperatures in winter feel colder than they are. Winter lows rarely dip below 0°C (32°F) and snow is extremely rare. The daily mean temperature in July, the coldest month, is 10°C (50°F). Overall, Tamaki is the second warmest major city in Tangatarehua.

Seasonal differences are slightly more pronounced in the suburbs, particularly in Tamaki-tonga (South Tamaki, on the island of Marangawhenua), while Tamaki-raki (North Tamaki, on the island of Moanapapa) experiences slightly higher rainfall and milder temperatures. This is due to different elevations as well less proximity to the ocean in Tamaki-tonga.

The city is prone to tropical cyclones between the months of November and April, usually seeing at least one every year. Strong cyclones are rare, but some have caused significant building damage and flooding. Annual rainfall is high with the city usually receiving over 2000mm of rain each year. Rainfall is considerably higher in summer than in winter, with the city receiving an average of 491mm of rain in December versus only 28mm in July. The city also receives an average of 1,892 hours of sunshine each year with early spring and late winter (August to October) usually the sunniest time of year.

The hottest temperature ever recorded in Tamaki was 39°C (102°F) on 29th January 2009, while the coldest was -3°C (26°F) on June 29th 1960.

Cityscape

Due to a combination of damage incurred as a result of enemy bombing during the wars of the 1950s and 1970s, as well as damage from the 2009 earthquake, Tamaki consists primarily of modern and contemporary architecture, while the growing population has seen the need for an increased amount of high-rise and high-density housing.

While there are a small number of preserved historical buildings, particularly in Tamaki-raki's government district, very little remains of the old city. Te Whare o Tangata, built in the 1830s, was inspired by western architecture at the time while the Rangatira-pa features only hints of the ancient Pa (particularly the gate) but was itself rebuilt and developed in the 20th century.

Whakaara, officially The Imperial City of Whakaara, is the de jure capital city of Tangatarehua and seat of the imperial throne. The city is located on a peninsula on the southwestern tip of the island of Marangawhenua, near the strait of Rangiwhero. With a population of 2,151,045 the city is Tangatarehua's third largest, after Tamaki and Wharekorana. Although the city is constitutionally considered Tangatarehua's capital city, in actuality the seat of government is located in Tamaki.

Originally a small fishing village, Whakaara has served as the seat of the imperial throne since 1178 when Empress Tamahine Matamua was evacuated to the village from Rakipa by Rangatira Te Mana Hanga after supporters of her cousin and rival to the throne, Princess Tawhai, attempted to storm Rakipa castle. Whakaara was seen as an appropriate place for the Empress to hide due to the city being surrounded by difficult to penetrate mountainous terrain. The city grew rapidly over the next few centuries as a result of the Imperial presence, with subsequent Empresses declining to return to the old capital at Rakipa while the Rangatira continued to govern from Tamaki.

In the 1979 constitution, the city was designated the official capital despite Tamaki continuing to hold the seat of government. In addition to being the imperial capital, Whakaara is also widely considered to be Tangatarehua's "cultural capital".

History

WIP

Geography

The city is unofficially divided into two sections - "Tawhito-Whakaara", or the old city, is located on the western tip of the peninsula and forms a grid pattern around the imperial palace. Tawhito-Whakaara is one of the expensive and exclusive areas in Tangatarehua. Hou-Whakaara, or the "new city" is much more modern and densely populated, extending eastward from the peninsula all the way to the Awakotiropai valley.

Climate

Whakaara has a temperate, oceanic climate (Koppen Cfb) with very high rainfall and generally mild temperatures year-round, with temperatures rarely exceeding 25°C (77°F) in summer or falling below 4°C (39°F) in winter.

Whakaara is one of Tangatarehua's rainiest cities, receiving over 4000mm of rain each year. Unlike most of Tangatarehua, rainful in Whakaara is fairly even throughout the year. Although the city still experiences the monsoon-influenced "romata raumati" ("summer tears") phenomenon, this is less pronounced than in other parts of the country with the city experiencing wetter than average winters and sunnier than average summers, compared with the rest of the nation. Like most of Tangatarehua there is some seasonal lag with February considered the warmest month of the year.

Summers are mild to warm, with a daily mean temperature of 17°C (63°F) and daytime highs averaging around 21°C (70°F). Winters are cool to mild and wet, with the city is frequently blasted by strong southerly winds from the strait of Rangiwhero. Winter lows rarely dip below 0°C (32°F) however the city does tend to receive snowfall every few years. The daily mean temperature in July, the coldest month, is 8°C (46°F).

The hottest temperature ever recorded in Whakaara was 30°C (86°F) on 1st January 2018, while the coldest was -9°C (16°F) on July 17th 1974.

(Will design a map in a bit. sorry)

Cosnicu's capitol city, in an attempt to blend its ideas together in the best possible way, has created a city that has several distinct districts.
Overview: The entire city is triangular in shape with its interior housing the political district at its center.

The neighborhood: The neighborhood is a mix of small houses and large apartment complexes. Ownership of a flat or apartment (instead of renting it) is common (dependent upon the requirement that the owner of the flat or apartment will not compromise the structure and cause it to collapse) Cosnicu created one neighborhood for its capitol city and assigns housing in order to create as diverse and integrated of a community as possible. Lower-income households are closer to the political district than wealthier hoouseholds to ensure that politicians are aware that the wealthy will always be distant from them and that their duty is to bring Cosnicu up by building floors, not setting ceilings.

The logistics hub: this is a robust ring or train lines and stations that encircles the political district. It allows the entire population of Cosnicu's capitol city to love in one location and work esewhere. THe hub is almost entirely underground, but a few aboveground stations do exist throughout the city.

THe political district: The political district is a circular area in the center of Cosnicu's capitol. It slowly rotates and is surrounded by two main features, a train station on each of the three "sides" and low-income housing and workplaces.

The consulate: The consulate is housed in between the political district, military leadership offices, and courts. It houses all fo Cosnicu's embassies's residences, and is deemed international ground by Cosnicu's law. This location is also called the "drab quarter" as many embassies are not painted or given a mural during or after construction out of respect for the diplomats that live in it.

The military leadeship offices are peacetime offices and housing for Cosnicu's higher ranking military officials.

The harbor: The harbor, which connects to the transport hub via three main canals into the city center, is a moderately sized shipyard (nowhere near as some of Cosnicu's harbors solely devoted to commerce and transport, such as those of Ffirax and J'Tu) an manages most of its cargo imports and water transport.

Airspace Cosnicu: Airspace Cosnicu is the largest and busiest of the three international airports Cosnicu operates. It houses public, commercial, government, and military aircraft, and is directly connected to the manufunctories, transport hub, and harbor.

Various parks: a portion of Cosnicu's land is devoted to parks, beaches, and other natural locations. The location includes several seeded ecosystems including grasslands, wetlands, forests, beaches, rivers, and estuaries

"that nation would probably be violent" (looks at cosnicu's pacisivism score)
"that nation is right wing" (looks at Cosnicu's form of governance)
"that nation looks like its straight out of a comic book" (Olkay. this one is technichally right, but i didnt recognize it at first)
"that nation is a corrupt dictatorship" (looks at Cosnicu's political freedom and integrity scores)
"that nation is scientifically advanced" (finally)

The City of Karaliaučius (City of the King), Also known as Tvanksta (ca. 800 - 1444, 1931-1976) is a large city that sits on a bay to the south side of a small peninsula between the great lagoons of the Vistula and Neman rivers, though its own fresh water supply is from the smaller Prieglius river that flows into the Vistula Lagoon. After the founding of the High Kingdom by Uliniks Notangos, the royal court would fluctuate over the years several times between this region of the Baltic Coast (initially nearby Notanga, from which the first dynasty originated and drew their name, but later Tvanksta) and the River City of Kulmas to the Southwest, some ways inland on the banks of the Vistula, in the early 1300s. By the early 1400s it was becoming known as "The City of the King" and in 1444 the name change was made official. During the Jacobin State Years, the name was reverted to Tvanksta to remove reference to a king, but this change was unpopular even among non-monarchists, and was made Karaliaučius again even before the monarchy returned.

It is a Metropolitan area of roughly 4 million people. Architechture is mixed between older and more modern styles.

Imagine a more organized Imperial Rome, twice the population, with an intricate canal network like in Venice. No cars withing the boundary stones, and trucking traffic restricted to warehouse hubs along the periphery of the city.
"Hello, Masaki home. Oh, that sounds like if I were married to the family. How embarrassing. What do you think? Do you think it sounds that way?"

"I have been many things in my life, Mollari. I have been silly. I have been quiet when I should have spoken. I have been foolish. And I have wasted far too much time. But I am still Centauri. And I am not afraid."

"You are elevating futility to a high art. There is nothing you can do to prevent the catharsis of spurious morality."

Horsasc, our capital, is by far the largest metropolitan area in the nation, housing 13% of the whole nation. The Lancenta River flows through it, and acts like a moat for the royal palace. Horsasc gets a huge contrast with the rest of the nation because of this one feature, as it has caused the city to look very gothic, paired with a very rectangular skyline. Forested hills encompass the northern reaches of the city, and to the south there are more cities and towns, which for the most part, supply food to Horsasc and what is further up the river.
Horsasc is in the south of the nation, just north of the Gulf of Treanat. It was the first city founded by Reslasi settlers in the area, and would remain important for many years to come. Horsasc is one of three "honored cities" of the nation (the others being Thryskad and Ivskak). The city itself was built on the ruins of Karphan, an ancient trading town of unknown origin. Reslasi settlers burned the village down and destroyed all records of history relating to it. None of the ruins of Karphan still exist today, save for the royal palace itself, which was built on an abandoned house on the outskirts of town. Horsasc is also the place where the last speaker of the ancient long-extinct Ulorian language died.

Broadlita is, at least by modern standards, a relatively small capital city, with a population of just 354,000. The Bruderworth River carves the city in two, with the prosperous middle and upper class Risinghurst district on its western side, and the deprived and industrialised Eccleshall and Borthwell districts on its eastern side.

The Eccleshall district in particular is a truly horrific place to live, full of run down 17th century homes and warehouses, and stricken with a massive sanitation and pollution problem. Risinghurst meanwhile is home to very ostentatious mansions built recently in the 1750s and 1760s, although it also suffers from significant pollution (However, not to the same extent as Eccleshall and Borthwell)

The latest nation from the creator of Pulsroth.

A small industrialised monarchy heavily based on Regency era Britain, with a sprinkling of H.P. Lovecraft mythos on top. Ruling monarch is permanently set to "opposite day" mode.

Tsinchung is the capital, largest city, and the seat of government of Chuying. It has over 5.2 million residents and it holds the majority of the country's population while occupying almost a third of all of Chuying's landmass (excluding the two largest islands off of the mainland, Sai Yin 西陰 / Gharb Alzalam غرب الظلام and Tung Yang 東陽 / Daw'alsharq ضوء الشرق), and is located in more than 1 district of Chuying; the majority being in its own district of Tsinchung New District, and parts of it spilling over into the Mountbatten, Yinghua, and West Tsinchung districts. The New District although constituting a major part of the city, is primarily home to the government offices, the National Assembly, and the University of Chuying: only a small portion of it is corporate and residential mostly for those that actively study or work in the district in order to be close to their daily commute.

It is by all standards a massive city, not due to its high population but due to how compact and dense it is from all the internal within Chuying and external migration from abroad to Tsinchung, and as such has a massive infrastructure apparatus in order to provide goods and services to all its residents. The city is connected by a large above ground and below ground railway network, trams, buses, as well as bicycles and vehicles which utilize the dedicated lanes and roadways to get around, although it is primarily public transport focused city since very few highways actually go through the city and 1-2 lane roads are the more common sights within the main areas of the city. It is also served by two very large airports, Tsinchung PM Margaret Yeung-International Airport and Tsinchung New District-Domestic Airport; the former being located 30 minutes away from downtown in West Tsinchung and the latter being surrounded by skyscrapers and right next to the bridge connecting to North Bay Island (fun fact: it is one of the world's most dangerous airports since its approach goes directly over the North Bay Bridge and a often crowded beach on Tsinchung's shores).

Imperatorius is the capital of Imperialiss, and houses the functions of central government such as the Senate and National Diet. The city is made of Greco-Roman architecture, much of it original, such as the Senate building. All necessary shops etc can be found in the city, and also follow the architecture style. Generally the people in the Capital vote for PSU in elections.

The capital of the Empire of Aikoland is Ville d'Aiko, which is located on Île-d'Aiko. The territory of the city is considered congruent with the Aikolandais Capital Territory (Officially abbreviated as the TCA, from the original French name of Territorie de la Capitale Aikolandais. Usage of the French abbreviation in English is preferred to prevent confusion with the Australian Capital Territory) and it is our nation's largest city, with an estimated population of 897 thousand living in the city proper and 1.5 million living in the Ville d'Aiko urban area.

By popular tradition, it is said that Ville d'Aiko was founded by Queen Aiko at some point between 510 and 525. Queen Aiko is considered the first monarch of what would become Aikoland and is the namesake for our capital, the state of Île-d'Aiko, and our country itself.

Based on historical evidence, however, Ville d'Aiko was actually founded in the early 10th century during the reign of King Jasque I, although it was named after the legendary Queen Aiko. The city served as the capital of the Kingdom of Aiko from its founding until the unification of the Kingdoms of Aiko, Boullién and Saun in 1719, at which point it became the capital of the newly established Kingdom (later Empire) of Aikoland.

Ville d'Aiko is home to the Aikolandais Parliament, the Supreme Court, and the Prime Minister's Office, although it is not home to the Royal Family. The Royal Family formerly resided in the capital until moving to the Palais d'Allais, located about 8 kilometres to the east of the city, in the mid-17th century. The Royal Family moved to the palace in order to be away from the hustle and bustle of Ville d'Aiko but still being near enough that it wouldn't take much effort for them to actually go into the city when necessary. Also of note is that the Prime Minister's Office was previously the residence for the monarchy's personal envoy to Ville d'Aiko from 1703 until the Office of Prime Minister was established in 1837.

Ville d'Aiko technically does not have its own government, as the former city government was reorganised into the Government of the Aikolandais Capital Territory upon the creation of the TCA in 1973. However, as the TCA's territory is congruent with that of Ville d'Aiko, it effectively serves as the city government. The Government of the Aikolandais Capital Territory is very similar to that of the state governments, with it having the same amount of authority granted to it that states do. The only major differences are that the Assembly of the Aikolandais Capital Territory (which effectively serves as the city council) is 45 members as opposed to 75 members and the leader of the TCA is the Mayor of Ville d'Aiko, as opposed to a governor.

When it comes to national politics, however, the Aikolandais Capital Territory effectively doesn't exist and Ville d'Aiko continues to be recognised as part of Île-d'Aiko for the purposes of elections to the Senate and is part of the single nationwide constituency used for elections to the Chamber of Deputies.

In addition to its status as our nation's political capital, Ville d'Aiko is also widely recognised as our nation's economic and cultural capital, with the entire Ville d'Aiko urban area having a GDP of US$105.65 billion (US$70,433.33 per capita, 49% higher than the national GDP per capita), accounting for 38.7% of our nation's total GDP, and all major Aikolandais television and film production companies being headquartered in the city. It is also considered to be the premier tourist destination in Aikoland and is the most visited city by tourists in our country, with over 6.3 million foreign tourists visiting Ville d'Aiko in 2020, a number predicted to double by 2030.
