BREAKING NEWS! CRIME PROBLEM SOLVED!
This morning, the Military Director ordered a “Hostile takeover of sector 1608”. Fortunately for everyone involved, the sector was unoccupied, so only a couple birds were shot by the thinning army division that was sent. While chaos erupted in Centraelis, engineers rushed to the new sector to build a new city, Celeve. The name of the city relates to some sort of folklore that a Director found, and the city was built to be perfect, all the way down to weather control. Unlike most cities, Celeve was to be built under an enormous graphene dome, using the first of the graphene produced by the factories by the coast. 1000 Celoniaens were taken to the city to populate it, and as the power plant burned it’s first of many barrels of cyclohexene, the city’s loudspeakers flared to life with the first public announcement. “Attention all! This is our chance to start anew! Given the state of the outer nation, we have only one choice: To place several temporary restrictions. Please keep in mind that these restrictions are temporary. (Papers rustle over the microphone) The bean counters tell me that we really can’t afford to build another one of these, so if you would be so kind as to surrender your weapons to your nearest police station, and not invite anyone to our great city, the nation’s rebirth will go much more smoothly.” As the photo-edited sun set over the new offices of the Sentinel, we interviewed the entire Council about what this means. First, the Director of the Interior. “We must retake the capital, and to do that you need soldiers. As such, we built a munitions factory on every city block, and we have a military base just outside the dome. We plan to tell the citizens that everything is going fine, no matter the cost. They mustn’t leave.” In response to this, as if the whole event was previously orchestrated, the Military Director added on, “We have no soldiers. Men get corrupt by power, and we all know what happened in Centraelis, our beautiful capital. It was withered beyond repair by these insurgents. The last thing we need is a foolish human on the front lines or in command, so I’ve commandeered a driverless car factory and set it to make driverless tanks. The modifications will take time, and the factory is significantly less efficient as of now, but once things get up and running, well… let’s just say that the next newspaper edition will be a success story. This city is Base Prime for us, so we can’t afford to lose it to humans. They’re dreadfully inefficient.” The Economic Director rushed into the interview at this point, waving a calculator in our reporter’s face. He shouted at us all, “Are you out of your minds? We’re already in the emergency reserve, and doing all this will cripple us even more! Debt will kill any nation, no matter how strong they seem. I ran the numbers, and this is costing us more than anything we’ve ever done. Yes, we may have expanded, and yes, we may be able to survive, but think about the bottom line! We can’t run taxes any higher than they already are, and it’s almost election season besides! Did you know that we’d have to shut down the ENTIRE COUNTRY for 38 years, just to pay off what we’ve done?” After the interview, our exhausted reporter came back to the offices and groaned. “It’s incompetent management. We have a bad system for running the government, and it’s finally showing. Well, not finally. We’ve only been in business for a few months, and on the world stage for a couple damn weeks!” He hurriedly glanced around, not realizing that the camera was still rolling. “A bit like the boss, if I do say so myself”, he said. Of course, the people knew nothing of this. The flag waved in the artificial wind, the buildings creaked as they normally did in a time of peace, and all was quiet save for the sounds of the munitions factories, ceaselessly churning out bullets, rifles, and artillery guns. The people walked on the sidewalks that were too clean, the buildings all gleamed differently in the line of the lights generating a sun-like effect, and it all seemed too perfect. It was the perfection distinct of police states. The city had heavy law enforcement by robotic police, and the people were fearful of the technology rushed to market. People started theorizing about what the symbols on the flag meant. Some said that the knife represented the cutting of civil liberties while others maintained that it meant strength. Some said that the scales represented a miscarriage of justice over military strength, citing the balance of the scales on the knife. Overall, the people weren’t just excited to get peace from the anarchy that had destroyed their previous homes. They were scared of the peace itself, that in the name of peace the government would make war.

(I know that the post itself doesn't mention sector 3304 - RPs of NPC warfare have been allowed to not strictly take place in the specified sector as long as the minimum word requirement of 800 words is met. SADLY Van haven't updated the rule factbook yet. But I can show you a screenshot from the admin chat if you so require.)
