A basic revisionist [as in, not 'everyone ran at one anothers machineguns for no reason and lives in trenches 365 days of the year then they all died and went home having done nothing at all] text for WWI is Mud, Bloody and Poppycock which was released in 1914. It's by no means an expensive book and definitely one worth reading, even for general IDTness.

Just wee century out there. Although a revisionist bok about ww1 released before the war started would have been very handy.

;)

Oops.

I meant, of course, re-released in 2014 to 'commemorate' 1914. Or 2008 for 1918. I forgot which.

In all of the posts I made in this thread, it's like everyone is oblivious that I use a 20" barrel to fire my intermediate rounds.

As I understand, it's because you claim improbable velocities for your rounds, 20" barrel or not. Too, your capacity estimates tend to be a bit high in my experience.

I can tone it down, and I have done it at least. I never want to go slower than 850 m/s for 6.8mm bullets though, and for me it's the borderline-can be more, but never less. I'm thinking of an inflated 6.5 Grendel case all because I want that 110gr 6.8 round going off the barrel at 2790 fps

I have a question, when would it be a realistic situation to use trenches?

IIRC, if you're in trenches, you're fucked. That's what it comes down to.

When ever your infantry aren't moving they should be digging.

I did, but I don't specialize in futur spess hunting weapons.

But if you're cool enough, use whatever you like. Even though all these are from the first half of the 20th century

M1922 Big Game chambered for 25x100mm
M25 Heavy Rifle chambered for 30x200mm. Keep in mind this is an AT rifle.
Polar Revolver, chambered for .500 Fordorsian

I also have the Model 6 Self Loading Rifle chambered for 8.5x60mm, but while it would do the job I suspect that's not the sort of thing you're after.

Like 2 people did and then the newfags sort of turned it into a meme. Bullpups are fine.

Only on service rifles.
