So I cobbled together a functional spreadsheet to calculate it (so I can be lazy later), And your total volume with 1.5mm case thickness is 200,659.93mm^3, or 200.66cm^3.*
I also calculated volumes for different volumetric efficiencies, so here ya go.
95%= 206.89cm^3
90%= 196.00cm^3
85%= 185.11cm^3
80%= 174.22cm^3
*my last calculation was incorrect- I subtracted case thickness from the radius as opposed to diameter.

I present to you the 6x42mm SIC. It's a lightweight SCHV round that, while not entirely capable of replacing the 7.62x51mm, comes so close in most regards that you could conceivably use it for most purposes, supplemented with platoon level MMGs.

How about no, and more no; what a waste of a good mace. Just have em' on shortened pole-arm hafts, and actually use them in a mildly reliable manner. Hell, dismounted Cataphracts armed with the things and a Skoutatoi's shield = many a re-dead zed-head if they reliably hold-fast to the steely discipline that Byzantine professional/standing troops were known for.

(dismounted because of the whole, giant meat-wagon with hooves that is a horse, even with armor, it's very counter productive)
