He befriended the future empress of Ethernia and with her ended the great Ethain crusades for good, held back an invasion from Kolaskyva in Ethernia, defeated the Nivagrans and conquering Ethome, ending the Nivagran Raids, and led an expedition to Gala, the land across the sea to the south.

Being "badass" is not generally considered a positive value in Frenequesta. The lack of a real military (and even when we had a real military in Joplinian-Lambscott it engaged in no wars that might create situations where one's "badassness" might shine) and a generally pacifist--and to some extent consensus-based--culture means that "badassness" is seen more as overly individualistic, ostentatious, and pugnacious than anything a typical Freneq would take pride in.

Perhaps Helen Tristan, generally regarded as the second-best president of Joplinia-Lambscott, comes closest. She was a very pragmatic and shrewd politician who had a way of compromising that somehow always got her what she really wanted in the first place--and through completely legal channels. Contemporary reports often commented on the firm resolve she exuded in every situation, as if she was always making plans, adapting them to new situations, and carrying them out but still with her eyes on what she really wanted for the country. Being a woman, she did not have any "badass" beard, let alone any facial hair.

They were paramount figures in the Praetorii Army, the army that would host a blitzkrieg on Iraq and Syria. Bartholomeus led the first attack by attacking from underground. Giovanni ended up controlling the Navy, and destroyed ISIS-built oil rigs. Maria-Claudia lead an all out ladies air assault on Damascus as they completely destroyed the city, as well as others, via carpet bombing.

As a member of the Arkanis Air Forces Elite Attack Squadron, the 19th Attack Squadron, his plane was shot down by Ulivian troops. After being captured, he escaped by rallying the members of the POW camp, causing a prisoner uprising. This, later called in history as the Amitivit Uprising, was the first of five prison uprisings that would happen during the Arkanian-Ulivian Civil War. Later promoted to the second highest rank in the Air Force, he became a national hero, with an Impressive kill count of 259*, the highest recorded by nearly sixty.

*54 of those kills are unconfirmed, though they are believed to have happened during the Uprising.

What did she do to be so badass? Went from an idiot teenager with no combat or governmental experience to the person who single-handedly destroyed the most powerful empire on the continent, and founded her own. Did so while leading a primitive stone age army against a bronze age force. In addition, she manipulated the other city states into joining her nation. Said union has lasted for millenia (mostly) unimpeded. Also, she hasn't aged since she hit 20 years old. She also tore off a Nazi's head by the eyeballs and once punched a guy's heart out. In addition, her personal kill-count is in the thousands.

Also, she banned slavery. In the fucking bronze age. Fuck yeah. Also was infamous for stripping SS officers of their clothes and throwing them into frozen rivers to die of exposure.

What did he do to be so badass?
Previously a coal miner and a leader in the United Mine Workers. He successfully organized many groups, most of whom would otherwise disagree with each other, to protest for Appalachia's independence. After taking the lead on organizing a referendum, he made a speech in Harlan declaring Appalachia to be independent in 1976.

He wasn't afraid to speak his mind, frequently cursing and yelling, even as President. He was an incredible speaker, more of a storyteller than anything else, and a singer. He was extremely knowledgeable about political processes, environmental policy, philosophy, and his people's culture and history. His frequent musings about freedom and truth earned him the nickname "Hillbilly Heidegger." But he wasn't some armchair revolutionary. Throughout the period from 1976-1981 (When Appalachia's independence was recognized) he would frequently appear at the front of protest lines, take beatings from police, choking on tear gas, getting arrested, and as soon as he could get out be back on the front lines for more.

After serving as 10 years as President he retired from elected office, but that wasn't the last Appalachia saw of him, as he frequently gave public speeches and was an advisor to all presidents that came after him until his death in 2004. Even a year before he passed away from old age (at the age of 78) he would publicly humiliate his successors if he thought they screwed up.

What did she do to be so badass?
She's rebellious by nature. She didn't really care about her look. She didn't wear a skirt if it wasn't necessary since she think wearing skirt was not so practical.
It's always in her mind that royal figures were also humans, just like her and other people. So it's not okay to let them oppress majority's rights and freedom. At the age of 17, she joined the rebel's underground army in 1854; then became revolutionary movement leader in 1857, along side with General Nikolaus Ehrenberg. She was well respected by her subordinates. She's daring enough to fearlessly throw the last king out of his throne by her own hands, and killed him with her personal gun. However, she didn't want to become the first president because she lived a simple lifestyle, and told people to choose General Ehrenberg as their leader instead. She's then engaged to General Ehrenberg's son (who was younger than her) as they had fallen in love since the revolutionary time. Unfortunately, she committed suicide 3 years later because of depression without therapy.

Arguably it's difficult to objectively declare the most “badass” of all Tulesians, being that the country has an elaborate and long history, composed of violence and democratic movements - and that our legends and heroes range from warriors and generals to diplomats and public orators.

Probably one of our more famous and well-respected individuals would have been Jean Tristan de Cafort, who lived throughout most of the 18th century and helped produce many influential and groundbreaking changes in the nation, earning him the respect of millions and becoming an established member of the high society; even respected by the monarchy.

De Cafort belonged to a wealthy aristocratic family based in New Tulais, one of the first colonial territories taken by the kingdom. His family’s fortune was made through slave labor and plantations, producing countless luxury goods for the homeland. He made various trips throughout his younger years to Tulais, but was often treated as an outsider in the circles of society due to being born in the colonies. He became part of the garrison in New Tulais and eventually rose to a major in their ranks; assisting in policing activities and not really expected to fight.

However in the 1730s a major slave insurrection began in the colonies, with many slaves overthrowing their masters and rioting throughout the coast. Significantly outnumbered and in charge of a token regiment, de Cafort rallied his forces and met the brunt of the rebellion in combat, where his line broke into bayonet charges. While his victory didn’t end the insurrection, it did cripple it and after the army arrived, he was given many accolades and elevated to an administrative position in the colony, making him a recognizable name back home. It also gained the ire of the slaves, who saw him the same as the other governors who refused to give them the time of day.

Three years later another minor slave rebellion happened, this time quickly being put down by a proper regiment passing through. However survivors of the massacre stormed the plantation of de Cafort and took him hostage, intending to kill and dump his body in the forest. Miraculously, he convinced them to release him; having spoken to the leader for hours and coming to an understanding. Sparing the slaves and perhaps seeing the error in his ways, after all it was the "Era of Enlightenment", de Cafort returned to Tulais on private business and began a career in politics. His first major task; advocating for the end of slavery which after many years of hardship and near death-experiences, he accomplished in 1743 by a Crown resolution.

He then went on to grow a beard.
